You are completely oblivious to the ground realities of the modern day world! Here are some facts:
      1) Australia is just geographically gigantic as compared to the UK which is a small island. However, a country’s geographical size has no impact on its job market! What matters is the country’s population! Australia has just under 28 million inhabitants as opposed to the UK which has over 68 million people! Smaller population translates to fewer job opportunities! This is basic!
      2) In the UK, allied healthcare professionals are increasingly being trained who can and are doing all the junior doctor jobs (example: physician assistants doing ascitic tapping, seeing patients independently in GP clinics etc). The UK government is trying to encourage training of these professionals in order to minimise reliance on doctors as it’s a cheaper alternative. This could well be replicated in Australia too! Consequently, there are hardly any junior doctor jobs available in the UK for IMGs!
      3) Australia is producing loads of its own doctors too! So, it’s unlikely they’ll need to recruit more doctors from overseas.
So, no…. Doctors may not always be in demand as governments and healthcare systems could develop ways to tackle shortage of healthcare professionals without relying on overseas trained doctors!
