I want to encourage all medical workers out there, as a surgical nurse i have been loving my profession in nursing and have worked in two countries . In addition to having a good profession it also helped in my strategic investing plans that allowed me to purchase my third home, supporting my retirement goals..

Wow, interesting indeed! Currently I'm in need of investment ideas or tips. Earlier this year I hesitated and failed to take any action until now. However, I'm determined to try something new as I am very open to various investment ideas . I want to be retired in my forties or fifties. I really wish I can achieve what you have achieved and I believe it will happen

When I found your videos talking about it, I was relieved! Thank you very much for your effort. Total salary for fy2 /pgy2(before taxes): 7250 AU$ (87,000 AU$ per year)
    Rent :2500 AU$ (for a couple with 2 kids)
    Groceries : 900 AU$
Utility bills : 350 AU$ (includes gas, electricity, water, phone, wifi)
Medical insurance for 2 : 1000 AU$ (not for PR and citizens. Assuming img as without PR)
    Medicare Levy 2%: 1750 AU$
Personal grooming, Council tax, Public transport and other miscellaneous charges: 1000 AU$
Income tax on salary: 1550 AU$ (18742 AU$ per year)
Total expenses per month: 9050 AU$
    Savings per month: 7250(salary)- 9050(total expenses inc tax) = minus 1800 AU$
So this means, a PGY2 doctor on a basic work schedule, and his unemployed wife can save nothing in Australia? (negative savings)
UK and Ireland seems better than this..

    • @EmergencyFocus
      @EmergencyFocus  Год назад +12

Temporary residents don’t pay 2% Medicare levy and 7000-7500 is take home post tax salary as I said in the video. I have been a resident medical officer in Australia and SHO the UK and my saving were substantially better than in the UK.

I have got a junior level trust Grade job offer in the UK and will be joining in the next Month.
    1. For the better financial stability, independence and supporting your family which country is the best option, if I opt for a competent pathway after 1 year of training.
    2. Would I get my desired speciality in Australia like ophthalmology or cardiology if possible how much duration usually takes comparison to the UK.
    3. If it was you in my place what would you do in such a situation because I'm reading posts nowadays regarding NHS system and the inflation over there.
