Here for the vibes, love the package you're putting together 👊🏻 fwiw, you're being far too hard on yourself with your 'mistakes'. Barely anyone will notice them, not everything has to be polished to a 10/10. Congrats on the 1k!
I have to agree. I bought my XT-3 "barely used" with the 18-55. While I'd love to get another lens, right now the budget isn't there for it. However, the 18-55 is more that capable. Besides a few vintage lenses it's the only lens I have. Nicely done video!! This is exactly what's important, here's some stuff you can do with this camera and lens. Have a rockin' day!
Great review! Love that you didn't pixel peek and go off on the "sharpness". Your style of photography resonates with me and that aesthetic. Can't even believe this is a kit lens...this should be a featured pro lens for all practical purposes.
Just wanted to leave a comment! Waiting for this lens to arrive. Great video overall! I appreciate in your samples you show all the different values set! As a beginner this info definitely appears to be helpful!

It's a good lens. It's good for video for XT3 since it has IBIS. They should made a mark ii for this lens with weather sealing and a little sharper. I don't like big lens like 16-80 mm. Your video looks good. Do you record in 10 bit video?
Really great overview of the 18-55mm lens, Watts! Enjoyed all the video examples with the kicks testing autofocus and wow, that clicking with the 23mm =T. I've been spending a lot of time with my 50-140mm and this review video will inspired me, well done man. I liked your video and subscribed to your channel!

Great review, inspired me to buy a great condition second hand for little money. I'm loving it so far, really well made and it's incredible how good the autofocus etc is for a 10+ year old lens. Makes me wonder why Fuji released quite a few subpar lenses after this one seeing it's a kitlens..
Hello, I have a question about the stabilization in 18-55, regardless of whether it is turned on or not, the viewfinder does not show that the image is stabilized, it does not eliminate micro movements. It's supposed to be, the effect of stabilization is not visible in the viewfinder when framing? The photos themselves are rather stabilized because there is a difference in sharpness with and without stabilization.
@@visionarywatts I just used my new used one today. I’m shocked at how good the quality all around is. Pleasantly surprised at how good the autofocus is too. I’ll get a lot of use out of this.

Can someone tell me why my aperture ring on the lens is not working? I have the small switch on the aperture sign, but I still can't set the aperture manually with the aperture ring... Please help
I would go a little bit wider since the 18 ends up being something like a 22mm with the crop factor. However, it is a good lens though that can capture interior areas well. Again, make sure you have a wider lens in your arsenal.
I got this lens but It sounds like it’s struggling to focus even when it is focused. It’s especially annoying if I try to film something and that’s all I can hear. Has anybody had this problem?
