Time I is finally released!
Using several video recordings of this amazing song, I have put together a version of the song that brings out the best from each range of play. The best drums, best singing, best orchestrations, best guitars.
What's even more amazing is that i used recordings from two different shows: Tuska and Metalfest.

6 year and these dickheads still have not released a studio version of this track.
I remember when I first heard this song and how I couldn't wait to hear the studio version. Since then, I've graduated High School, graduated from two different Colleges, gotten a full time job, and the studio version still has not been released.

TIME 2 IS FINISHED!!!! I feel the same way. Freshman in high school when Time 1 released and waited all my life for it.
I am still waiting to find a band that writes better music than Wintersun. I don't think it will happen.

Jari is a musical genius, I can't wait to hear a proper copy for all those subtle parts that are so easy to miss.
"As for TIME II, it's in the works. Mixing is going well and sounds much clearer, heavier and punchier than TIME I. Have to reamp the rhythm guitars though, not happy with those.
Honestly if I would have a studio I would have made already many many albums, but since I don't, making albums like this is pretty damn difficult. For studio you need shitloads of money. i agree guys this song has rocked my mind for 2 years now and i still think its the best song ever.
For me "Time" and "Sons of Winter and Stars" are not only my favourite Wintersun songs, but also my favourite songs of all time. Jari has never disappointed me, and he never will. I have a feeling Time II will be even better than Time I, if possible.

May 25, 2012, Wintersun announced that Time is going to be split in two halves and released separately, with the titles of Time I and Time II. The mixing process of Time I is well underway and scheduled to be finished around July 2012. The first album is due to be released in early fall 2012, with the second album tentatively planned for release on an unknown date in 2013.

Kai Hahto is a badass for keeping everyone at the perfect tempo each time. I've even mixed this with a recording from a third show, and it lines up just as well.
Regarding to the awesomeness of this live song, i can't imagine how blown away i will be when i hear the studio version in august !

I don't even give a damn. I listened to orchestral music LONG before I got into metal. I didn't get into metal because there were guitars. I got into it because its dark, powerful fucking music. The guitars could be completely not present and I would still fucking love this album xDDD
I think we ALL should buy this cd when it will be released. Just because I think we all want a possible 3rd Wintersun album sooner than this one...

@achnextgen Kai is the best of every drummer in the world mixed together in one hell of a drumming machine! :D I think there are no need to mention his capability to play so many different styles of music. I just love his playing

Ensiferum had stated before giving a final release date that their then unnamed album would be released in the fall. Now we know Unsung Heroes will be released August 27th. Until an actual release date is given, it could still come out in august for all we know
Fantastic feeling knowing I'll get my hands on the new album october 19! But waiting for this song to be released will be a pain but nonetheless worth it when it will get released next year.
It is on Time II that will be released next year. :)
The reason why it wouldn't be on Time I is simple.
It is the 6th song ( (Darkness&Frost incl.) and they want release 2 40-minutes packages. So it will be the first song on the second Album when I'm correct and they don't hang an intro at the front.
To answer the next question why they played it^^: Way of the fire is the song on the both albums that is most similar to the old stuff according to Jari, thats why they played this one last year. :)

I feel like they are extremely good for getting people into it, but eventually much much better bands are found. i used to be a huge fan of them, but i cant say that anymore.

I actually like their new stuff a lot. It has intensity, granted I love their old stuff alot more. But that's just my opinion.
Let's just hope Wintersun gets their new album out so we have some more special albums.
