Besides, if I remember correctly, at some point Mäenpää said that he's going to release (some of) the other albums he's working on before Time II. Of course I hope to be proven wrong when he's going to post some more info next week :D

I feel like Jari is concerned with anything but releasing new music by this point. This band is one of the biggest what ifs ever in metal and music in general. Such a shame, but I really don't think we will ever see a full album from wintersun anymore. The members mostly moved on to other stuff cause... Jari is unwilling to do anything with the band and the incredible music he composed.
Yea, he released that djent thingy a couple months ago but even that is seemingly programmed tracks plus his guitar. I have no hope anymore. Oh well, at least the old songs are there to listen to.

Joonas is a TOP LAD. Love that dude. His fan mixes of TFS are better than Jari's ! He needs to study and take up mixing engineering tbh!!!!!! He'd be GREAT with continued practice. He clearly has an ear for it.

I have the feeling that Jari repeats the same words and termes on his lyrics over and over again. It worked for me on the debut album but it feels kinda repetitive and uninspiring since the concept is the same all through the years.
@@tonigonzaleznunez5579while some themes reoccur there's still plenty of unique paths explored in these lyrics. I don't see a big issue here.
@@tonigonzaleznunez5579now that we know the meaning of the song, the lyrics make more sense. The description in Nuclear Blast's site: "fire representing the energy of stars as a source of life, which is also connected to time."
We also have to remember that Jari wrote and composed the song already in 2006 or even earlier, so chronologically it's like continuation to the debut album in that time frame so it's not surprising that the themes in the lyrics reappear here. One With The Shadows is an even older song, written somewhere in 1992-2000.
The songs in Time I and Time II are almost as old as the debut album or even older.

I used to listen to this nonstop man, it's unreal now it's out there for all of us to listen to, in all it's epicness, with all the little details to be discovered. This is like 10% of what you can listen to in the album, and we were all here listening to this anyways. It's indescribable

It's been 8 years since i first heard this song and it's still the single best piece of music I've ever witnessed... It literally sounds greater than life itself, oh my god, can't wait for it to come out.... I want to believe that when Jari got the idea for this song and he started writing and composing it, he was like: "hmm, this feels great, but what if I made it even better?". Then: "oh yeah! Now it's great, but what if I made it even better still?". Then: "oh hell yes! This is the best stuff I've ever done... But what if it was beyond legendary?". Then: "I literally can't imagine it being any better anymore. It's prefect."
For me this is also music that is greater than life itself. It's like created by a divine being from another dimension rather than a puny human. Very easily my favorite song ever, nothing comes even close, not even other Wintersun songs. Hell, calling it a song is almost insulting. It's so, so much more. It's an astral journey through the space and time.
My millionth time listening to this and it still sounds just as fantastic as it always has. Just makes me more and more excited to hear the proper version.
It is incredible what these guys can do with a single chord progression. They could repeat it indefinitely changing the arrangements a little bit here, then a little bit there, and so on. This is true talent. I look forward to listening to the studio version of this powerful and emotional song some day...
Yeah. It's straight up magical how he manages to keep the song fresh all the way through for 10 minutes with the same chord progression, but maybe he just managed to come up with a chord progression that is itself so magical that varying it repeatedly and make it work was relatively easy.
On the other hand I saw someone arguing that the song is nothing special because it just repeats the same chord progression over and over again for 10 minutes with little variations, but I think he fails to see how that actually makes the song so soulful and a true piece of art. It's like each variation has its very unique personality and flavor while remaining true to the idea and feel of the song. That's how the song never becomes boring even though it's a lengthy song although on paper it may seem so.
Everything after 7:41 just cannot be put into words. Sometimes I think this will be better than Sons of Winter and Stars. As a fellow fan stated below, this song is greater than life.

There is this thing in music which I call "joy" and it is way too rare. When an artist is able to create something with utmost joy and without limits, you get breathtaking masterpieces and I don't know any better example of that than this song. It's just constant musical fireworks which just keeps on giving

The ending is one of the best things I ever heard in metal. Ridiculously epic.
The middle part is even more incredible imho. The part from the first solo to the end of the second solo. It's just constant buildup, full of surprises and it's all just so incredibly satisfying journey.
I wish there was a video of me aging waiting for New Wintersun content. By the time The Forest Sessions came out I already moved on to other genres. Somehow I’m excited after hearing this. Kari don’t let this be your swan song.
It won't be, but honestly I wouldn't mind if it was because to me this song is pretty much the pinnacle of what I want from music. Maybe Jari is able to top this somehow, but that would be a miracle.

2022? I think your're being optimistic tbh. In an interview (which I cannot find anymore - sorry) I read that it took Jari (and the other guys) years to assemble all of the perks for the Seasons-Crowdfunding. So I'd assume that the second CF is propably still two or three years away. And even if they succeed in gathering up enough money to build the studio, the studio still has to be build in the first place (which could take even more time). And even if the studio is finally there and ready for use, Time II still isn't released. Also I'm pretty sure Jari will be reworking Time I one more time to match the production quality of Time II since both of the albums were originally intended to be released as one album with a duration of like 90 minutes I think.
So my guess is more like 2024 or even 2025. Given that the next CF raises enough money to reach the needed amount for the studio. Sometimes I hope that some rich bastard will just give them the money so we don't have to wait any longer! :D

Hyde But now Jari knows exactly how to get the right sound for Time II and he just needs the Wintersun Headquarters to get it done, the mixning of it (which was the only thing left to do for Time II) won’t take that long, the only thing that mattera right now is that the second crowdfunding goes well and that they reach 750 000€ that they needed to build their studio
I really hope that we will be able to hear Time II when it comes out, but I’m starting to doubt that we’ll ever hear it. If it comes out then it will be the greatest album ever in any genre, Wintersun are the greatest band I’ve ever heard, their music truly is epic🤘

I loved the reveal time of the TFS Crowdfunding, where every new Video gave us a few more seconds of studio sound, and people collected them, tried to put them in order, and edited them in the live version of TFTW. And of course the editing of the "Way of the Fire"-recording. Despite not being the "true vision" music, I think Jari and the other guys are happy with how we workaround the unfortunate situation and a bit proud of us Wintersun-junkies :)
