@@MetalForever895 Sounds great i really like the sound. However on a genius scale they are not from the same level. The way Jari is able to compose progressive death metal and keep it interesting is truly unique.
Tauri, I do not know how the heck I missed this but I did. This is a Doctoral thesis on how to compose and play a heavy metal masterpiece. I am a retired drummer and Kai is my hero. The man is insanely talented. To have hands as fast as his and the technique to go with it required years of hard work. I am glad we have him in Wintersun and in Nightwish, because in my opinion he is the best there is.
Basically any Wintersun song would be great for reactions. Though if you'd want specifics, I would recommend "Death and the Healing", "Starchild", "Beautiful Death" and "Sadness and Hate". Those four songs are from their first album. And I can recommend the entire "Forest Seasons" album, It's "only" four songs. But each is a masterpiece as with all their songs.
I' d still say try Any of the Ensiferum albums, esp the first 2 as Jari was singer and guitar. Somethings like Lai Lai Hei for clean vocals or the epic Windrider or Into Battle. Like Wintersun, they have so much great stuff to listen to.
Time is soo good song! And Wintersun so awesome. Now you still have one song from this live rehearsal set, "Land of Snow and Sorrow". Quite different than these two other songs from same rehearsal.
I am only now able to post my full response to your reaction I think the majority of songs by Wintersun would work very well as soundtrack for Skyrim. I had "Forest That Weeps" playing in the background, while I travelled through the land. It is actually really great that both Nightwish and Epica have drummers who both played in a melodic death metal band, when I think about it. Jari is really pushing his vocals to the breaking point, but never past it. That must have taken him years to find the balance. The band is really so tight. I mentioned those songs by Vintersea (above or below) with PageMonster as I have no idea with how much heaviness (death metal or even black metal variety) you would like to start with - "Illuminated" is really quite gentle in comparison to other songs by the band (20-25% heavy); "The Gravity of Fall" is about 70% and it is a lyric video; "Skies Set Ablaze" was my introduction to the band and it is about 50%; and then, there are songs like "Befallen" or "Old Ones" which are something like Spiritbox´s "Belcarra" - 90%. There is, of course, still some underlying melody. The singer´s name is Avienne.
Basically all WS songs are good, but you should check Death and the healing, Starchild, and Sadness and hate. If this doesn't fulfill your desire for finnish melodeath, check Insomnium:Hearth like a grave, pale morning star, or twilight trails. The latter has, in my opinion, one of the best riffs of all times
And to you too. :-) Do you think "Illuminated" is a good choice for an introductory song to Vintersea"? I was also thinking about "Skies Set Ablaze", but no sure.
Great video! Please do a reaction to the song Rats from the band Ghost. The song was released 2 years ago but the lyrics are scary on how they apply today. If you can watch the music video with the captioning on and I guarantee it will blow you away.
Land of Snow and Sorrow from the same rehearsals is amazing
This or Death and the healing. Both again, perfect!
Masterpiece ! There's no one like these guys, Jari is an absolutely genius
Ehm, yeah there is:

No song gives me goosebumps every time i listen to it but this one...
This Band is absolutely amazing. 🤘🤘

It's funny about Wintersun songs... they just get better every time when you listen to them.
amazing - i listen to this song regularly and never get tired of this - the vocals are great

Thanks for another Wintersun reaction! Made my day!
Glad I could do that! :)
I enjoyed your reaction. I have just recently started exploring the Wintersun catalog myself and the ride so far has been fantastic! Cheers 🍻
You would love Land of Snow and Sorrow from same rehearsals. 🤘🏼😊
That climax at 9:20!! Omg that gets me everytime! 🤘🤯
Land of snow and sorrow is a masterpiece!
Thanks! Maybe the mother of all the intros was heard here. And your smile ... when Jari started singing in a clear voice.
Never get tired to listen these masterpieces. Loneliness (winter) next, please!
Thanks fo your reaction!
She has already done that. Search and watch 😊

wonderful masterpiece of music and you made your reaction on my birthday, what more can I ask of life
cheers from Bogota Colombia
Land of snow and sorrow live rehearsal at sonic pump studios remains out of all the rehearsals they did that day. I’m sure you will like it.

For a second I was surprised to see Kai Hahto in this video, but then i remembered he was in WinterSun before he joined Nightwish.
Right?! haha
Wintersun es de culto y atesorar toda su música . Porque muestran lo que es hacer
y componer buena música . Porque les gusta y disfrutan lo que hacen

Oh yes Tauri 💪 8.30 something you can hear somekind of bass solo if you want:)
Time II D-87 🤗
Epic metal 😁
Next, Wintersun "Loneliness (winter)" probably my favorite Wintersun song.
Very melodic and emotional.
Love from Portugal.
She already did Loneliness 🙂
@@AnssiKoskinenFI oh yes, i forgot 🤣
Best Song ever made
9:23 That's so Devin Townsend-ish, which makes sense because Jari is a massive fan boy of Devin. Haha.

Another masterpiece from Wintersun!
Highly Suspect - My Name Is Human

I don't know what kind of rendering settings you use but video is crisp but the music audio is awful. It's like 64kbps aka really compressed.
