This band is so underrated, sad they only have 90K monthly listeners on Spotify, they need more love for their masterpieces!

Their first album "Wintersun" has been a pinnacle album for me since 2004 that few have even come close to. Perfect from start to finish. There have been weeks where it never left my CD player. I like when he sings like this....amen to that!!! He sounds so emotional and sorrowful with that non-growl vocals, however, the musicians are always impossible to ignore and the harmonies they do is wonderful. Hats off to the mixer here and on the rest of the studio work that harp and symphonic music is placed just perfect!! Got to love Kai on the drummers he never looks like he is working and is always happy back there driving this band on!!If I recall correctly he taught Jukka the original Nightwish drummer a few lessons before they came calling.

1st when I seen title of this song, Time, I thought Wintersun was doing a cover of Pink Floyd's Time. But I was mistaken...... Reason for thinking is that Kai Hahto, drummer for Wintersun is also current drummer for Nightwish after former drummer recommended Kai to replace him back right after 2013's tour. Plus, Nightwish did a cover of Pink Floyd's High Hopes with Marko doing the singing.
if you like a littlebit shorter song from wintersun: beyond the dark sun is about 3 minutes xD and Kai left this band but i think my hometown hero Heikki Saari is a good replacement.

Yes. Kai was called to the bandcamp when Nightwish was rehearsing Imaginaerum album and he went there to teach Jukka some good jazz drumming 😊
