If you want to dive into Forests Seasons album, I'd say wait until september 30th of this year, they will release that album with new mixing + punch of other new songs and totally new album as well.
Wintersun is finnish metal band from Helsinki Finland. Jari Mäenpää (lead vocals, guitar) is mastermind behind the band and Wintersun started as his solo project while he was still in Ensiferum (great finnish metal band also 😉). Other wizards are Teemu Mäntysaari (guitar, backing vocals) who replaced Kiko Loueiro in Megadeth. Dave Mustaine said he got back his enthusiasm to play guitar. Jukka Koskinen (bass, backing vocals) plays also in Nightwish. And last but not least human metronome himself Kai Hahto (drums) plays also in Nightwish. You have still two more songs from Time 1 album and from same rehearsals: Sons of Winter and Stars and Land of Snow and Sorrow. Forest Seasons album includes: Awaken from the Dark Slumber (spring), Forest That Weeps (summer), Eternal Darkness (autumn) and Loneliness (winter) all official lyric videos. Their deput album Wintersun has great songs like: Death and Healing, Starchild, Winter Madness, Sadness and Hate, etc. all official lyric videos also.

You lucky LUCKY man… We’ve been waiting for 12 freaking years for “the complete album” You’ll just have to wait 2 months. It was meant to be just one concept album but Jari decided to launch just three songs “due the intricate sound and complexity” Time (part 1) its hands down a must hear and one of the best albums en metal history.
Be prepared for more. The second half of this album (Time II) will be here in almost a month after being recorded over 10 years ago! Also, Jari the lead guitarist is a mad scientist with music, and an absolute fucking wizard behind the guitars. If you don't love growl/screaming the first album might not be up your alley, but check out "Winter Madness" if you want to see his skills with a guitar, or "The Way of the Fire" when it comes out in a month.

When you go back and listen through this, you'll pick up on the guitar solo not actually being a solo. That section and the section right before it with the vocals are basically an extended duet, instead of a true guitar solo. It's amazing how many different things there are to pick apart in pretty much every Wintersun song. P.S. Don't do Loneliness next or by itself. All the Wintersun fans are gonna request the shit out of that song, but it's the last song on a 4 song concept album. I feel it loses a bit of it's weight if you don't hear the other three songs first. Especially the one that comes right before it on the album, Eternal Darkness. It'd be like watching Return of the King as your first Lord of the Rings movie. Sons Of Winter And Stars from this same studio session is a solid choice for next, and usually where most people start their Wintersun journey now-a-days anyway. P.S.S. I see no one else has mentioned this fact yet, but Jari(lead vocals, guitar) is missing a part of one of his lungs, 1/4-1/3 of one lung. Due to having to get it surgically removed because of tuberculosis that he contracted while in the Finnish military. Makes his vocals that much more impressive.
Wintersun songs have hundreds of overlaid tracks on the album versions and many of them were here in the mix, mostly in the background, the keys in the end being the most noticeable part. Jari Mäenpää is the guy behind all this; he composes, plays and sings almost everything except the drums, that were done by the Kai Hahto seen here. So my guess is that Jari has also played the keys on the backing track. On album almost all vocal tracks are sung by him, except parts where there's a "warrior choir"; for those parts he invited a whole lot of Finnish metal vocalists to his studio to record them. Because Finland has most metal bands per capita in the world, it wasn't that hard to get a good number of capable singers for the choir. Jari is obviously a talented multi-instrumentalist, but also a perfectionist and capable audio engineer. Each album takes him more than half a decade to complete, as he keeps adding tracks and re-mixing everything until he's finally happy with the result. For this reason the parts for the next album played by other people than himself (most notably Kai, the drummer) were recorded back in 2016, but the album is coming out only this years. Time frame was similar for the previous album where this track is from. Kai and Jukka, dummer and basist here, are nowadays (also) in Nightwish. Teemu is in Megadeth.
Everything from wintersun is amazing, I would suggest “winter madness”, “sons day of winter and stars”, “awakening from the dark slumber”, “sleeping stars”. Just to start😅
