He said in an interview that he has around five album's worth of unreleased material, but they have yet to be arranged into songs. Time II is done apart from recording, but the remaining four albums' worth of stuff is just riffs and melodies that haven't been combined into songs.

This is the whole point for the studio crowd funding thingy. He wants to build a studio where he can make the ultimate mix with all the vst's he wants to include. The Forest Seasons is a great album. It only takes a long time until you understand it. I also thought I would never like it. However after several listenings, I finally understood how ingenious it is.
I wouldn't say "better", I like both for different reasons but at least TFS feels more complete, whereas Time I is only half an album, and it's not even the final version.

Honestly I'm convinced it is pretty much an obsessive disorder at this point; that is no offence, everyone is sick from Time to Time whether physically or in spirit. Being as perfectionist and simultaneously stubborn about how many fans he turned his back to... yes, WintersunJari owes us to live up to his words. Think about it. We all put a lot of money in not to mention our loyalty which is bounded by Time still due to Death. Who wants to die not releasing what great work he's done to share? Is it normal? His voice will fade more and more whilst looking for the perfect sauna for the 750k studio for which they've got more than half. Maybe adapt the studio as necessary or take the bloody wood and build it yourself, hell I would help even, like Viking ancestors could manage. _(Full aware that Finland is not Scandinavia but Swedish Viking influence present and Jari himself is not much Finno-Ugro)_ Stop the idolising and look at it the way it is.
You must be new here! Apparently, the Time album (Parts 1 & 2) were recorded a while ago. I've seen people say as far back as 2006. Once Wintersun acquire the studio they're funding, then Time II will be able to be properly mixed, mastered and possibly even the guitars re-tracked.

Hearing Teemu doing the solos just isn't the same :c For some reason he can't play it like Jari does. The little intricate stops and bends Jari has in his play, that perfectly catches up to different beats of the song. It's hard to explain in words. But the emotion and just the way he plays things makes it sound ten times better. I've seen live recordings of Eternal Darkness, and Teemu just butchers the solo, because he doesn't play it like Jari did on the album. The little intricate timings in bends, slowing down, and catching up again. Things like that, he doesn't seem to do. Teemu is an amazing guitar player, technically, but he doesn't even come close to Jari's solo playing, or the emotion in his play, and it really saddens me. I hope he can learn in time to solo like Jari does, but I'm afraid Jari's playing is unique to him, and the emotions he has due to the understanding of his own music, melodies, and lyricism and his general life experience. I can also hear in this song, that the solo doesn't particularly stand out, because you can't hear Jari in it, and I think it will sound really different on the album version where Jari will play it.
Teemu is a monster player. Much better than Jari. But I'd kill to see J pick up a guitar on stage once again. His sweeps are just... different. So much passion channeled into the solos. Teemu is flawless, but it will never be the same.
Teemu is a more technically proficient guitarist, but Jari's playing is much more lively and has far more character. I agree Teemu has trouble with the Eternal Darkness solo, but we haven't seen Jari play it live, and it doesn't sound like he did it all in one take on the album.
I was really trying to embrace this song but it just doesn't do it for me.. I know it's a rough live version but the composition sounds like a b-track from "Time".
To be honest this doesn't sound like Wintersun at all. It's like Jari made a song for Catamenia. The melodies and the vibe is just not there. Finish black metal from late 90's and early 00's.

The Eternal Darkness solo is pretty epic in my opinon- very well done and perfect for the song's atmosphere/mood; AND shreddy!
It's not like the Time titel track had one of the best solos ever written. Like, seriously? This solo is great, but 1 1/2 is a big stretch here.

Intro, Sons of Winter and Stars, Land of Snow and Sorrow, Time, The way of the fire, One with the shadows, Storm, Silver Leaves, Outro.
So yeah, it's probably that same "Storm" from Time II.
I actually wonder if the Outro thing still stays. It wasn't mentioned in 2014 @ crowdfunding survey tracklist.

The reason why Wintersun is not the BIG Band the could be is the slow recording. If they had released at least an album every 2 years since "Wintersun -Wintersun" they would be on a copletely different fame Level... sob

Maybe adapt the studio as necessary or take the bloody wood and build it yourself, hell I would help even, like Viking ancestors could manage. _(Full aware that Finland is not Scandinavia but Swedish Viking influence present and Jari himself is not much Finno-Ugro)_

You must be new here! Apparently, the Time album (Parts 1 & 2) were recorded a while ago. I've seen people say as far back as 2006. Once Wintersun acquire the studio they're funding, then Time II will be able to be properly mixed, mastered and possibly even the guitars re-tracked.

Hearing Teemu doing the solos just isn't the same :c For some reason he can't play it like Jari does. The little intricate stops and bends Jari has in his play, that perfectly catches up to different beats of the song. It's hard to explain in words. But the emotion and just the way he plays things makes it sound ten times better. I've seen live recordings of Eternal Darkness, and Teemu just butchers the solo, because he doesn't play it like Jari did on the album. The little intricate timings in bends, slowing down, and catching up again. Things like that, he doesn't seem to do. Teemu is an amazing guitar player, technically, but he doesn't even come close to Jari's solo playing, or the emotion in his play, and it really saddens me. I hope he can learn in time to solo like Jari does, but I'm afraid Jari's playing is unique to him, and the emotions he has due to the understanding of his own music, melodies, and lyricism and his general life experience.
I can also hear in this song, that the solo doesn't particularly stand out, because you can't hear Jari in it, and I think it will sound really different on the album version where Jari will play it.
Personally I prefer Teemu as a guitarist over Jari
He plays so smooth and clean, and I love the brighter tone of his guitar.

But I'd kill to see J pick up a guitar on stage once again. His sweeps are just... different. So much passion channeled into the solos.
Teemu is flawless, but it will never be the same.
Teemu is a more technically proficient guitarist, but Jari's playing is much more lively and has far more character. I agree Teemu has trouble with the Eternal Darkness solo, but we haven't seen Jari play it live, and it doesn't sound like he did it all in one take on the album.
Is Wintersun cool with this? I know you have good intentions but I think its best to ask for permission.

To be honest this doesn't sound like Wintersun at all. It's like Jari made a song for Catamenia. The melodies and the vibe is just not there. Finish black metal from late 90's and early 00's.
