    We call this kind of people "smoke sellers", the reason this people exist is because a lot of people want to be rich, doing almost nothing, without sacrifice, research, market analysis, without knowledge of graphic design, or fonts styles, colors, context, effects, minimalism etc etc, except going out and copying others, without knowing what they do, my first language is Spanish, and you wouldn't believe how many smoke sellers there are selling the false hope of passive income without any effort and even worse in an activity where it is not passive income at all.

    Thank you for being realistic. It's good to learn from and follow people who have been doing this for years like yourself. I create for Amazon KDP and it's a long hard road. The problem also with following people who don't know what they are doing is that they may not have read the lengthy rules associated with the platform they are showing you how to upload on. Which can result in your account getting terminated forever if getting advice from the wrong person and just assuming they know what they are doing. And I have seen peoples accounts terminated a lot for that very reason. I know people want quick and easy but a lot of things that will be profitable for years down the road need quality and that is pretty hard to do with something slapped together quickly.

    • @shimmymorris1

    Thank You for your courage Shimmy. You are right on. I've been in POD since 2010. I have well over 10K POD products currently on line and lately business has been about as dead as dead can be. I'm meeting with a job counselor tomorrow and i'm working with my local small business development center for professional advice on starting a viable offline business. I'm winding down my online POD presence except for my Fine Art America gallery that has been my baby since 2010--FAA has always treated me really great with lots of artistic freedom.

    biz for decades. I’ve been a photographer since I was a teen and still love creating images to this day. I’m extremely interested in finding my way into some market with my images and my music. The print on demand method looks quite interesting and exciting. You make great sense in your honest explanation about what’s real and what’s not. Ain’t no easy road to any mountain top regardless what you’re told. But you’ve given me a great boost and I’m fired up to start something. Thank you so much once again. You’re a giant. f

It blows my mind how many of my customer's say that nobody has ever messaged them on ETSY. I thank EVERYONE of my customer's I pay to have a thank you card insert, and I tell every customer when their item's are arriving. It's not EASY! Ok, I'll hush- April

    Hello Simmy, been following you since few months. You are very helpful.
    Can you help me with something that's not POD?, I have found a niche on etsy with very low competition, 238 to be precise. Barely 7-8 sellers and high barriers of entry as everyone has to import that from my country. It's a product that is sourced from where I stay, and its exclusive. Should I try that? How to validate? As it will require some investment. $1k-2k

    • @shimmymorris1
      @shimmymorris1  7 месяцев назад

      If no one is selling it, or very few people, then validating it will be very hard. You could try with a few and see how you get on. I like to base my designs or actions on calculated research.

    Yes, calling out the scammers is always a good idea. Probably for every video that tells the truth, there are 10 videos that peddle the easy money lie. To some extent, I think that people who buy the easy money lie are getting what they deserve, but they also are screwing the newbies who are looking for ideas and get fed a bunch of BS. Hopefully, the people who are looking for ideas will see your videos before they come across the scammers crap.
