  • The Stairway to Heaven in Hawaii is a bucket list hike for many people across the world. This ultimate guide will help you complete the legal route to the Haiku Stairs. We found that the legal route through the Moanalua Valley was the most rewarding. The views of the valley are amazing and breathtaking! You don't want to miss them by taking the illegal route. Keep in mind that stepping on the stairs is illegal. We took the risk, but it could cost you a $1,000! This hike is a strenuous 10.3 miles (17km) roundtrip that will test your fitness level. We recommend doing the hike on a dry day and coming prepared with the items suggested below. We hope you enjoy this video and let us know in the comment section if you want to complete this trail in the future. Reach out to us if you have any questions!

      @@helennguyen5897 Stepping foot anywhere on the stairs is trespassing. You can easily google that as well aslook this up on the Honolulu Police Department (HPD) Instagram and their Facebook. It is more dangerous, but you can’t take the stairs. Police will be waiting at the bottom to give you a very, very expensive ticket as residents will 100% report anybody taking the stairs.

    Did this hike waaay back in the 90s there are several vistas along the way that are really intense …. Going down was very unsettling I passed a few people who were going down on their butts …. Never would wear sandals I wore trail running shoes light but sturdy heel counter for lateral support .. Was surfing a lot back then so the hike was no biggie … back then there was a trespass sign posted near the fence

    • @DennyandNikki
      @DennyandNikki  3 года назад +1

      I don’t see why not! We were there pretty early, and the gates of the park is closed for cars. But you can walk right in :) and it won’t work offline with the free version, but I believe they have a free trial. And otherwise, you might be able to find your way with just our instructions. It just gets a bit tricky where the tree is with the markings. Once you’ve past that, it’s pretty self explanatory. Hope this helps!

      We think it is doable, it might take you a bit longer. Especially on the steep incline parts, but you can just take a break. What’s hard about this hike, is that it takes so long (7-8 hours) with a pretty long steep incline part. It should be doable :)
