An anthology series called “Wakanda” is definitely the best bet, because then you can do basically everything. Episodes on Dora Milaje, episodes on M’Baku, W’Kabi, Nakia, T’Chaka, Ramonda and even Killmonger’s backstories. An episode following Okoye stepping up after the Snap. Characters integral to Wakanda’s past that we’ve never seen before. And that could just go on forever.

They could also do a Nakia show. She's a spy, so there is a lot of interesting content that can come from that . Although I personally would love it more if they made it where she and T'Challa wound up having a child at some point before he passed.
Good point about her being a spy, depending how Black Widow ends, maybe she could cross over with Yelena as an ally or an enemy!

Marvel did this fantastic short where they explored the family tree of the Wakanda royal line. Imagine a period drama spanning centuries exploring how Wakanda became what is in modern time, why juxtaposing real history in Africa and the world, like a Wakadan The Crown.
The actor who played the younger version of his father in the flashback scene is the real life son of the actor who played T'Chaka. They figured get his real son to play his younger version.
He should do a Storm Origin series with the Shadow King.
Feige said they have the 5 year plan and mutants don't factor into that as yet, so probably not until 2024, probably with hints scattered along the way.

@@tylermitchell0398 I want t'challa back too but we are not getting that. So the second most important character in wakanda is shuri so I think she should take up the mantel. Because personally I cannot see Okoye or M'Baku taking on the likes of Doctor Doom and Namor.

@@tylermitchell0398 Those action sequences that Okoye was doing in black panther one is not going to work against the villains in these next phases That's why I think Shuri should take up the mantle because her Tech could help fight against these villains. Energy daggers coming soon
The best way to go about it is to focus on how wakanda continued on when thanos snapped his fingers. I mean...what happened? This land didnt have a ruler for 5 years?
There’s also some exciting ways that we could start to see other locations and worlds of the MCU represented - Atlantis, Latveria, New Asgard, Knowhere and more space stuff... very exciting time to be a Marvel fan!
True their a rumour going around that they are going to call Atlantis lumeria in the MCU to differentiate it from DC but who knows
I would love to see what happen durning the 5 year snap and how Wakanda dealt with the aftermath.
I absolutely am obsessed with Okoye and I’m so glad she will hopefully going to be more in the spotlight, especially with The Walking Dead just finishing I feel like seeing Danai Gurira showing off more of her acting chops in a Disney+ series would be really powerful

I'd like to see a show that focuses on the lifestyle of Wakanda within their advanced cities. Like maybe a kid who grows up in Wakanda and deals with the fall out of Infinity War etc.
Combine that with Dora Milaje and said kid either joins them, or has a sister who joins them.

If the content is good, and serves to accurately provide positive representation for black folks while sticking to source material, Im for it. If what theyre going to do is put out bullshit just for the sake of acquiring the black dollar, then keep it. Not interested in being pandered to.

Chadwick Boseman was a very unselfish and non egotistical person, he would not be cool with Marvel not continuing with the T’challa character.

I still think T'Challa has to be recast. He is too big of a character too not be on the field when the SHTF.
I think it would be cooler if T-Challa had a kid with Nakia at some point after Endgame. He could be T'Challa II so they don't have to recast the character.
Kevin feige knows what he is doing the shows I called them as movies as well they are just starting the stories and then it evolves into the movies they are all important movies/shows for the mcu

Glad you highlighted Poximity Media as there are many people behind it, mostly people that went to USC (I know Ryan, Sev Ohanian and Ludwig all went to USC together). Nice to see people coming up together and lifting each other up in the industry.

Grace putting Respekk on Ryan Coogler name!! I love to see it!
Ryan coogler has a very distinct visual style. For the first shot of black panther I knew it was him at the helm with his energetic dynamic camera movement mixed with his excellent understanding of intimate character drama. He is one of my favorite directors
i believe that for a prequel to be made it MUST add something to the story, whether its to expand the mythology of the project or add a plot or something to whats already came before it.
It will have to be a prequel or how the new black panther become black panther 🐆
I’m sooooo excited for this! I will be fascinated to see how the other shows and the rest of his team factor in and what they’ll be working on. I wonder/hope they’ll work on Iron Heart, because Riri and Shuri have always had so many similarities that I’d hope they can work on it to keep them unique and supportive of one another rather than in competition with each other.

There is sooooooo much they can do with shows on Wakanda. WHEW! This is HUGE and Black panther comics know better than anyone that this is HUGE. Gods of Wakanda, mysticism, introduce a pipeline of Black heroes through these series into the MCU, Midnight Angels, Kasper Cole, introduce more Black Panthers, expand on technology, introduce Wakandan mutant Nezhno Abidemi/Gentle, N'Kano/Vibraxes, Hatut Zeraze, etc
I would love to see a Dora Milaje series for sure and I would love him to use Ta-Nehisi Coates Black Panther series as it is done so well with such breath of stories.
I think it could be interesting to have a game of thrones type show set in Wakanda following the rivalry between the different tribes

Honestly using Disney Plus to expand the universe is great. Like they can explain so many things with so much time to then go straight to the movies where the action happens.
So excited for BP2! I can’t wait until we know more about that.
I DO like the idea of a Sterling Brown led show or at least more of his arc as we explore the older BP. Perhaps a series following T’Challah’s father T’Chaka when he was younger! Use the actor who played his younger self in the film.
Or a series set AFTER BP2 showing Shuri and Storm’s adventures in Africa?! 🤩

It's been said a lot recently, but Disney need to rethink their weekly release model for Marvel shows or create longer episodes. I'm liking WandaVision, but the slow rollout is irritating me. It's making the experience less enjoyable than it should be.
Whoever the Wakanda show focuses on, I'd like a deep dive into everyday Wakandan life and culture. Make the world feel real so that, when the next movie rolls around, we all feel an intimate connection to the place. I want some Game of Thrones-quality world building.
I would love to see Nakia get a show. A spy show taken place in Wakanda would be epic.

A Midnight Angels show would be dope led by Okoye. They are created as a response to T’Challa being gone and needing a more forceful response in their military. An M’Baku led series that follows the Jabari Tribe. They were secluded until rejoining the other tribes of Wakanda in BP1, so it could be a prequel or an aftermath series. Lastly, perhaps a series following one of many Wakandan spies located around the world!
I don’t always agree with Grace but Thank God for her and this channel ...loving the “inside” information. I find myself getting excited about projects just watching your video. The ppl in Hollywood need the thank you, I’m sure you have made them a lot of money
I read about this yesterday. Very happy for Ryan Coogler. This is a great deal for him, well deserved, and more Wakanda is never a bad thing. If I'm being honest I would much rather have a show built around the Dora Milaje than the Amazons. Not just because WW84 was not so great but what's that story since the Amazons never leave Themyscira? We've already seen the Dora Milaje going out into the world doing Wakanda stuff and now that the world knows what Wakanda really is they may be called on to do who knows what. I'd like to see that thread from Black Panther play out in some form with Wakanda getting more involved in the affairs of the world at large as well as the politics of the nation itself. There's many directions they could take this and it's exciting stuff.
My only concern is whether or not Ryan Coogler will get type-casted as a director/producer for just films/series featuring POC. I want to see him branch out and take on new challenges.
I'm so excited! I can't wait to see what he decides to do with the Wakanda series.

I’m all for it, though if it’s just to avoid T’Challa, it’s a huge mistake and an unintentional dishonor to Boseman’s work. MLK jr, Rosa Parks, Jackie Robinson, Nelson Mandela, T’Challa, the list goes on, THEY are ICONS, impactful and inspiring, their stories are so important, and continue to be told.
Spin-offs of New Asgard, of any hero’s hometown? Hmm none. Careful Disney, you might be trying to hard. Again I’m all for it, if it revolves around T’Challa’s story. All for it.
It'll be cool if they do a sort of anthology Wakanda series, but with an overall connected story, so you see different perspectives and each episode can follow a different characters story along the same events.
I believe there was a statement that shuri would see an increased workload but wouldn't be Black Panther. This was shortly after Chadwick passed
I think a multiverse killmonger is going to be that male character and perhaps even assume the role as Black Panther next to Shuri.

They've already done the concept on visiting past Black Panthers of yore, it was done in the cartoon series Avengers Assemble which I must say was super dope. I hope they do that for disney plus with the Wakanda material

I think a sort of catch-all anthology series named Wakanda Forever could be awesome. They can tackle anything that way, prequel settings, what happened in California, etc.
Winston Duke is so GREAT as M’baku and makes him a powerful, interesting character without taking the Black Panther mantle.

WandaVision didn't trend because it got dark but because it was the first big reveal episode.

Pretty sure WandaVision trended cause we finally got some answers, not because of the tone. I know you´re a fan of the dark Synderesque superhero content but what I saw most people excited and tweeting about were the comedic beats (Darcy and Woo).
Wanda carrying around Visions dead corpse is very dark and was talked about just as much, if not more than Darcy and Woo. So don't act like there isn't any appeal in the darker storytelling.
Wakanda is new and unique.....so it probably can handle a whole lot before anyone is burned out. Thanks for the video Grace.
