Decision to Leave and Glass Onion.
Can't wait to see The Whale. The man is back!
From tiff: Decision to leave
In general: tár
Glass onion
The Whale and Decision to leave.
I can’t believe you got to meet Film Wolfhard! He’s my favorite film!
Dewey Cox is hilarious
Where did you buy your likes from?
Lol. I met him twice. He was no doubt there to support Sadie Sink
Finn wolfhard is not a film. He’s a person.
@@whyamihere54972 wrong
wow i can’t believe you got a poster for every single movie you saw and switched them out on the wall behind you between takes that must have taken so much work
not really, just green screen
edit: i thought she meant that karsten did all of it in editing, but she was talking about him doing it in real life
@@noahpoobbailey 💀💀
@@noahpoobbailey no need for green screen in this case

Finn wolfhard is an amazing animal, truly the greatest wolf, glad you were able to meet him.
You might even say he's hard.
Wolfhard with a Vengeance
@@mr.lannoitus555 a hard wolf
You didn't get to meet Finn Wolfhard.. Finn Wolfhard got to meet you.
Wow, I realized how many films A24 is working on that came out of tiff
Wdy? It just 2 movies
@@eitanr1983 Lot more: Pearl, The Whale, The Eternal Daughter and The Inspection
They are just distributors
@@cinemasprite and Causeaway
@@boppob1343 they also produced the eternal daughter and the inspection
1:43 definitely the first time I’ve heard a film’s tone described as “watery”. We love a fresh description.
i am scared to even commit to going to a film festival because i could not keep up with all the screenings. good job for being dedicated to the craft lol. i had not heard anything about the banshees of inisherin before this and it is now on my list!
For the big ones, the trick is to plan your screenings ahead of time. Don’t have your heart set on too many of the big ticket items (because those will be the most in demand and therefore the hardest to get to). It’s probably good to just pick 1 or 2 big ones and try to go to those and stick to the more under the radar stuff. Take the venues, the maximum capacity of them and the time it takes to hop between them into account when planning the schedule and put in meal breaks where you’re not looking at a screen for a little bit. Smaller local festivals are a lot easier to network and make friends because they’ll likely be in a single movie theater and they’ll just play them back to back.
Karsten supporting the Brenaissance is good news
Thanks for taking a photo with me at TIFF I’m your biggest fan!
He won’t notice you

rooting for u jeffy B
'The Whale' didnt actually have its world premiere at the TIFF, but a few days prior to that at Venice :)
Decision to Leave was my favorite film at Cannes! Can't wait to see how people will respond to it!
Is really that good? I love the handmaiden and old boy
@@davidmckesey7119 For me it's the director's best film yet
See the thumbnail "oh cool he met Finn Wolfhard" watched the video "wait Finn Wolfhard watches him!"
Oh that’s sweet, Finn was there for his costar Sadie! And yes Finn is an internet boi, of course he knows who you are haha
Pearl was my top film i saw a TIFF! the people around you will bring the vibe... my screening was great!
Wow, it was really an experience watching this video unfold!
This made me so excited to see so many new movies!
So exciting and glad you had a blast Karsten! Love these videos
Great video, as usual!
Your head is so round in that thumbnail, come on man
dog i can't help these things
@@KarstenRunquist i feel ya..
Very Excited For This One
Just about to start the video, but knowing you saw The Fablemans cuz of Letterboxd, I was thinking a Spielberg Ranking might be interesting...
Long overdue
Really enjoy your content man. Keep up the good work
I'm really glad to hear you liked Bros. I thought it had a lot of potential based on the trailer but that it could really easily fall into 'grating' instead of 'funny'
looking forward to watching some of these after hearing your thoughts!
Holy shit, so many films to look forward to… for another six months or something. Thank you Karsten! :)
Glad to meet and interview you at TIFF, love your videos man
Very honored to have scanned your badge prior to Women Talking. And very glad you enjoyed the festival.
ive always wanted to go to tiff and this is was a great watch. hoping to go in the next couple years :)
Glad to hear Decision To Leave was your favourite, cause I got tickets to see it at LFF next month while all the Glass Onion tickets got sold out haha. I'm with you Martin McDonagh's films not connecting from In Bruges to Three Billboards, but I love the acting duo, so gonna see that too at LFF.
If I saw that many movies in that amount of time, they would definitely blend together. I have some new things on my watch list though!
Was hoping to bump into you but I was walking up the balcony stairs while you were having your meet cute with Finn wolfhard haha so happy Toronto treated you well!
Excited for Banshees of Inisherin as Martin McDonagh makes some of my absolute favorite movies - although I get why you may not connect with the previous ones as much.
Awesome vid love your channel
This is a good Katrsten Runquist video
Thanks, Movie Fantano!
My parents were at Tiff the other day and saw Finn Wolfhart too. I saw the Fabelmans there the other day though. Definitely one of my favourite movies.
Wow karsten your hair looks good in this one
it was so great to meet you!! hope to see you next year!!!!!!
I had no idea a new Martin McDonagh film was coming, thanks for the heads up!
Love the video's!
I can’t tell you how excited I am to see the weatherman in the fablemans
I might check out that Susie Searches movie. It looks cool.
It was good to meet you there my guy
I just moved and now have an oppourtunity to see a lot of these at the Atlantic International Film Festival next week and am now very excited to do so
is that in A T L A N T A
Nah it’s in Atlantic Canada
yess!! decision to leave!!! you should seriously check out the whole vengeance trilogy - lady vengeance is still my absolute all time fav
from the tiff lineup, it seems like this year is one of the best in 5 years?
decision to leave is movie of the year for me. Perhaps one of the best I've seen in recent years
I saw you the first day of the festival but was too shy to say hi! Lol
My favorite film definitely was Broker and also bc I got to be in the premium screening with Hirokazu and Kang-ho. I was sooo happy. I also got to ask a silly question lol. Almost every screening i went to was premium so i got to listen to the directors and or cast talk about yhe film ahh it was a great experience.
(i went as a tiff volunteer)
i love how you used the poster to display each movies poster as you talk about them
definitely check out Bergman Island, very excited for Mia Hansen Love's new one.
Based on Letterboxd, we Saw Susie Searches at the same time which is pretty neat!
karsten you gotta come to MIFF one year!!!
Bros is actually a very good movie thanks for the recommendation
manifesting that i'd get to experience this one day
just came back from the store, saw the thumbnail, realized I forgot to buy eggs..
It's the Banshees of "in - ish - ear - in", say it as one word and that's it. Hyped to see an Irish film getting that attention tbh, love McDonagh.
You and I must have been in the same press screening for Weird Al. I had no idea people were throwing stuff outside!
omg!! if that was your first Mia Hansen film then i recommend you Bergman Island !!!
You should watch the 2022 rom-com starring Jenny Slate directed by the guy who made Big Time Adolescence, just watch the first 10 minutes they’re perfect! I also haven’t liked any rom-coms lately but that movie is great
Extra pumped for weird.
I would have loved to see you review The People's Joker! Ember Knight is in it and she's the mastermind behind the genius web series Ember's Etiquette on Adult Swim and it's sequel series, The Ember Knight Show
I am excited for knives out 2 weird al and the stephen speilberg one
I love the monkey in the back, cute companion
Did you guys catch the Fantano reference in the video I thought it was quite clever thank you Karsten and Finn keep up the good work on the channel
Wow, Karsten and Glaive!
I’m one of few people that will understand this reference :)
I LOVE GLAIVE
You should come to NDLG! We’re pretty close to the festival!
I thought it was gonna be another photoshop but man casually drops the coolest story
Out of all the movies in TIFF, I'm most excited to see The Whale... but for different reasons than everyone else (I'm seeing it because of Sadie). I know it was actually pretty divisive because of Darren Aronovsky. Almost everyone hates him now because of Mother! Maybe it could been better received if it was directed by someone else. But I can't wait to see Brendan Fraser and Sadie Sink get Oscar nominations! Maybe win but idk.
That smooth crossfade made my day better
whaaaat documentary now came out w another season
Can't believe the biggest film festival is only an hour away from where I live,
Ughhhh I can't wait for decision to leave 😩
Talk about a he upcoming Wes Anderson (Henry sugar and Asteroid city) love your vids
I love the monkey plush on the couch lmao
Women talking is my most excited film of the year. I love Sarah Polly since take this waltz. Why about the fableman? That movie is amazing
i stiil would've watched this if it was 30min long, i'm just saying. great video as always
id love for you to do a review on vengeance
Seven Psychopaths Is Martin's best film, so if the Banshees is his best one, I'm excited.
this was the fastest 17 minute video i’ve ever watched
Good video
Damn Karsten I wish you saw “Zwigato”. Another film which premiered at TIFF and is one of the rare types to be coming from a country like India.
hope you watch Triange of Sadness soon
I haven’t seen all your videos, but did you ever see the film Kid Detective?
oh yeah
Low key just trying to figure out all the places you ate and drank, Toronto resident here
He ate films
karsten i was waiting the whole video to hear if you watched my policeman😔
karsten runquist moment
You think Glass Onion is getting a theatrical release? I would think so
Love you dude…now where the Saul video
Are you ever gonna do a studio ghibli ranked video?
I loved Finn Wolfhard in Things That Are Strange.
irrelevant but are you gonna do a godard ranked in light of his recent passing? would love to hear your thoughts
baller gig to be able to record ur sponsor chin-up while ur half asleep 😮
But what is it encapsulating Karsten?!!
oh no! Gordy's here
HI FINN!! :)
lol me walking in the background
Oh my goodness I really thought Finn Wolfhard had been photoshopped a la Timothy Chalamet in that New York video.😂
Please, please, PLEASE watch Bergman Island by Mia Hansen-Love
