    do we have to include form and structure in the 2023 exams? I'm aware that in 2022 they removed it from the mark scheme, will that be the same this year?

    After watching the video I am certain that many of my analysis now are not like grades 5-6 answers, maybe a grade 7 but I don't know. I'd prefer videos that only give analysis of grades 8-9 because I'm definitely not satisfied with grades U - 7.

    I don't seem to understand the effects of the structure of a poem and especially contrast. Would I still be able to get a grade 9 if I don't write about contrast but write about other structural features?

    Hi sir, which video of yours for Macbeth would you recommend which is the most useful. I want to make flashcards for key quotations, so which video do you think will provide quotations which also provides high level analysis.

    Hello sir I really love your videos and they have been a great help but I was hoping you would be able to make videos analysing the characters and themes of a Christmas carol as I really struggle with that one. Thank you.

    Hi sir I don't understand how to interpret or infer poems correctly...even if i read it 4 times, i don't get the right poet's purpose and meaning...Also, could you do a video on form and structure overall...Thank you.

      J P I agree with you , I also have problems interpreting poems or extracts aswell , sir I would also appreciate it if you made a video about doing that thanks

      Think about being the examiner. There is always a clear message in each poem and you should always try to find a writer's intention/purpose. If you struggle, try reading random poems on the internet, guess their purpose, and check with articles on that poem etc. Hope this answers your question. ;)

      Shining Dove If it happens once, it is a piece of structure. If it happens a lot, is is part of the overall structure, which we call form. Imagine a house = form. Walls, windows, roof = structure.

    Hi. Have you got any experience with igcse English language B edexcel? I did the exam in June and got a 6 which I was very disappointed with as I was aiming for a 9. I’m resitting in a few weeks Time. To be honest I’m really struggling on where to go next to improve my mark. Would you be able to help me in any way? Thanks

    • @MrSallesTeachesEnglish
      @MrSallesTeachesEnglish  4 года назад

      Well, I am going to be in them - whether that is better or worse, I don't know! It will be better in that it will be a course, which teaches the whole play, from start to finish, and will have a student course book to follow too
