The purpose of my channel is to document my cancer journey to look back on, and/or help anyone else going through anything similar. It is also to potentially help loved ones supporting those who are in this fight as well. This is also an easy way to update a lot of people at once. My main goal is to have footage of this journey for my husband and children to look back on. I originally created this channel as a sort of video diary for my
    family.
Thank you so much for following along on this journey. Your love and support help me so much.

That‘s very well-worded. I‘m also a caregiver and it’s rough. One of my outlets is playing CoD MWII, it sounds crazy, but it lets me get out of my head. I can’t recommend selfcare enough. I‘ve taken up journaling and started drawing (online class). Both help me clear my head and bring a calmness with them. You‘re a true superhero @Kyle!

My dad had lung cancer & his biggest gripe was his oxygen tanks. It's definitely a battle & make you feel like a prisoner as he said. Just always have extra tanks available & they do have wheels carriers & bags. You will shortly become a pro at how much oxygen you use in your tank & for your machine at home they also have long tubing to allow to get around the house. My dad also would have his tank on his foot or lap while being pushed around.

An hour. A week. A month. A year. I thought about that as my wife and I watched this video. We've watched most of the videos, but this one in particular, for some reason: an hour, a month, a week...
I don't remember what I was doing this time last week, or last month. A year? Please. I know for certain that I took that time for granted. I'm crying right now. I'm trying to make a point.
Watching Kyle take care of Jenny, and especially those times he can't hold back the tears, but just for a second! And then he's strong again for Jenny and the kids. It all humbles me, and makes me look at my wife, and think about time and how it passes unnoticed. Last year became this year, and last month became this month so quietly that I barely remember the transitions.
But what really gets me is that I have to remind myself how wonderful my wife is, and how much I love her. This isn't about me. It's about my wife. It's about how watching these videos from Jenny Apple and Kyle reminds me to look at her, and realize how much I love her. And also to remember how precious time is. Every hour, every week, every month, every year. Every second.
For Jenny and Kyle, and the kids: my wife and I wish you time.

Hi Jenny , I just a wanted to let you know to be aware of types of chap sticks and nose moisturizers .
Oxygen can react with products that have paraffin, petroleum jelly or any oil-based products in them. Also if you ever feel you cannot breath even with O2 , get a fan and let it blow on your face . Even though you think it won’t help you it’s a mind set thing and helps give comfort. A hospice nurse told me this trick . . Sounds crazy but it works . Also with hot summer coming up it’s a good idea to get a hand held fan on Amazon that you can keep in car and charge it with a UBS phone cord . Make sure you keep a good amount of gallons distilled water . The O2 will use a lot of ,distilled water . Praying for comfort and peace for you and family 🙏🏼🌸

Praying for you Jenny and for Kyle and your two sweet little ones. As a side note, I'm not sure if you two follow Sarah from POG Family on You Tube, but I know she follows you all because last week, I believed, she mentioned that she was praying for you because she had seen you were in the hospital, Jenny. Sarah got the worst news on Wednesday from the oncologist - he gave her one month to live without treatment and if she tried yet another treatment, he said she "might" make it until Christmas, but, of course, that's all dependent upon her response to any new treatment. If you do know Sarah and her family, I just thought I'd let you know that she needs a LOT of extra prayers right now, as does her husband and family. If not, then could you all please pray for Sarah and her sweet family? I know they would be grateful to receive prayers right now. Thanks to you both and I'm, of course, continuing to pray for y'all too.

She is weak, no energy and her pain is getting worse and now draining the liquid out of her lungs that’s also another pressure on her body an additional pain. I am not a doctor or a nurse like some of you but I wonder if this new trial would ease her pain and bring her better quality of life.
I would appreciate if anyone who is a nurse or doctor or had experience like hers could give us their opinion about this or any ideas even that would be great.

    Is there palliative care
available to come to your home a few times a week? I live in Canada & I understand there are differences. It was such a wonderful blessing for me as my husband battled cancer. It was so easy for him to get annoyed with me during his high pain times. He was just having bedbaths so it was a good time for their Nurses to wash him and chat & assessments. I would leave the house & go wherever i wanted for that time. They were a total lifesaver for both of us. Kyle & Jenny dont seem to be in need of this service yet but maybe later down the road. ××××

I nearly had a blood transfusion near the end of my chemo…..everything countable thing was low then I had a nose bleed that would not stop and because I lived so far away from the hospital I had to do an overnight, things improved in the night …..but what a lonely, sad night I had 😢. I once had a friend who gave birth to twins and lost a lot of blood . I sat with her during her infusion, she was deadly grey and looked so weak but OMG I watched her change to amazing , healthy…Wow ! . Cancer is a hard one and I was overwhelmed all the time , keep positive , it helps with the big push ….sending good vibes Xxx

Sending love and prayers. Lost my wife 12-19-21 to covid with 2 different hospital stays in the ICU over 3 months. It's unimaginable to try and balance all the hospital stuff, talking to doctors, making trips to see her and to balance life itself that doesn't stop for you. Bills still need to be paid, work still needs to happen etc. I still remember feeling guilty driving my wife to Parker AZ before being flown out to Vegas and having to run back home to get her things for her and to take care of our puppies. Don't give up hope, it helps.

There may not be another line of treatment, it may be time to consider comfort care. I’d encourage you to think and talk about end of life. It’s normal to be scared of death and sad, but we all face it some people sooner than others. As a nurse, it is clear when you’re in clinical trials that the end might be near. Your body is clearly getting weaker after the last “treatment” you attempted. There comes a time when the benefits of not treating outweigh the possible adverse effects of experimental trials. Keep an open mind to palliative care so you can focus more on family and cherishing these last weeks.

If you were a young mother with young children, would you want to give up hope completely? I'm sure she knows there's a big chance it will not work, but she's trying anything to buy a little bit more time. My father had pancreatic cancer- he had a stage four diagnosis and usually you go very quick with that, He participated in a clinical trial and had two more years with us which the doctor said was rare in his case.

Your whole family is so awesome and supportive. The caregiver for a cancer patient, husband in this case, also is affected. Kyle, you’ve been so great. It shows me how big your heart is and we can see how much you love Jenny. You never complain and you’re always right by Jenny’s side. You have a lot on your shoulders so please make time for yourself. You’re such an incredible husband and father!
Will continue to pray for you all!
