My sweet granddaughter had a rare cancer of the brain lining never seen even in children before; only seen in adult women. That was in October of the year. St. Jude operated, removed the cancerous tumor, and learned the devastating news that the cancer had gone beyond the lining and into the brain. This was 17 years ago. Proton beam was so new. There were like 5 or 7 places in the US that did the proton beam therapy and primarily only on the prostate. It took until Feb of the following year to find any place that would undertake proton beam on a 2 year old's brain, Mass General in Boston. (The cancer was between the eyes in a very delicate and hard to get to area which made it even harder.) My granddaughter just finished her Freshman year at Northeastern University in Boston!!!
@@katysmith-n2y Are you for real. They are not scammers and I only came across their videos tonight. She is one amazing strong brave woman fighting for her life so she can have quality time with her family.
I'm 40 and was just diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. I have a family too. Your videos are hard to watch, but the love just pours from you. Thank you so much. It's a privilege to travel with you. ❤ Edit: overwhelmed by the comments, thank you so much. Jenny and Kyle have inspired me to document my own journey, so ill do that soon on here. The support is so beautiful and precious. Thank you for being here for them and for me ❤
Looking back, this is the first video that really makes me sad. You can tell she’s starting to enjoy (this is not the correct word but I can’t think of one that brings the compassion I’m looking to add) drifting away; sleeping, the pain and anxiety meds. She wants to keep fighting for her family but it’s getting hard. Kyle wants to go to dinner and fight for more time but she’s had enough. It’s so hard to watch; I can’t imagine living it. Such a change in her over 1 month. And I say this as a doctor. 12:42 he had just talked about focaccia (you can tell by his reaction that he’s starting to realize he’s losing her in my opinion) and she has no interest, understandably so. Nor in Hawaii. What a strong, compassionate guy. She’s such a warrior. This is the only couple that has ever convinced me of true love. I hadn’t believed in it after what I’ve seen and been through.
My sister was diagnosed with her cancer as stage IV, but from the get-go she was given from a few weeks up to 6 months. Our whole family was in tears constantly. She lived over 4 years, which I was grateful for. I am praying for you, that you have a huge miracle and live a very long time.
Same w/ my mom. Way back in ‘92! They had zero cancer drugs, and she had CML. I was 16! They said 3-6 months, and she lived for almost 5 years. At least she saw me get married, and pregnant, but she never met my oldest, as she passed when I was around 6 months. She was only 51. I’m now almost 48, she was diagnosed at 46, and I have a lot of health issues (father had Agent Orange, he’s passed, too.) I only know what it feels like for a child losing her mom. I can’t imagine if this were my spouse. That is a much different relationship.
My mum died of lung cancer in 2022. It happened quickly for her, but she had minimal pain and at the end she had all the drugs she needed and said to me and my brother “ no need to be scared of dying, it’s quite nice” ❤
You are both wonderful couple I lost my best friend and wonderful husband you have got a wonderful husband very lucky like me mike my husband gone to heaven ❤️ ♥️ 💖 💕
My sister was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor at 40. She went to Boston for proton radiation, which was experimental at the time. She lived 20+ yrs after that. There is always hope. Hang in there.
Boston is THE BEST I'm so fortunate to be an hour away if something catastrophic happens in life. We can only hope that this will give Jenny and family lots more time
You all don’t know how hard I’m praying for a Miracle from God for Jenny! I pray this treatment is a huge success for her and everything works out for the best and you all can go to Hawaii! ❤️🙏
Me too. That's one question I'll have for God when I get to see him is why this happens to good honest families and good people, while it seems the corrupt and evil people seem to live out their whole lives . Praying hard for a miracle.
I don't want to give any false hope of any sort, but I came across your channel a while back. Your story touches me so much because my uncle was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2009 and was told he had 9 months to live. It's 2023 and he's still alive and doing well. I'm in agreement with Ellis, miracles DO happen. I also hope this new therapy is beneficial for you. You're so brave, Jenny!
@@gwyn6907 maybe I didn't understand thoroughly, but it sounds like this is a new therapy she's doing. It may not heal her, which is why I started my comment the way I did...but you never know. My uncle did radiotherapy as a last resort and his lesions are still there, but they completely stopped growing. They don't know why exactly. They show up on scans, but it's like they're stagnant. I'm just saying, hope is there. Even if it buys her 2 more months of life than expected, with her children and husband, that's amazing. Staying positive and hoping for healing for her.
It's not a new trial, unfortunately. It's a sort of treatment to reduce symptoms related to LMD (central nervous system mets), but they are no longer targeting her lung cancer.
My uncle was diagnosed with lung cancer. The Doctors gave him 6 months to live. He lived another 10 years plus…. Always hope and don’t forget that…. Keep strong. Sendin blessings to you and your family xxx you got this!!!! ❤
Great to hear your uncle beat this odds by a long shot, but do you have any info on what he did to live so much longer? Did he do the standard procedure or did he do any alternative therapies, fasting? Any info you can shed to them would be helpful.
Cancer varies from one person to another very strange, my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer which was untreatable 10 years ago, since then she has got dementia, kidney disease final stage, still going strong she is nearly 90 years old now.
My friend's daughter was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma five years ago and had proton therapy and chemo. She did great. She is traveling in Europe as I write this. You are so fortunate to have this option. I am praying for you both!!!
I am so happy your sister chose the radiation therapy and she is living her best life! My sister was diagnosed with the same glioblastoma in 2022. She has surgery but refused the radiation treatment. Unfortunately, she had been following a well known “healing” ministry mega preacher and was convinced it showed lack of faith if she did the treatments. I fully believe in prayer for God’s healing but also strongly believe in God using medical means for healing. I have seen it in my own life! But it was her choice. She passed in 3 months. I am still devastated by her passing. 😢
Reading this brought tears to my eyes. A smile on my face. I'm so happy she's doing well. The diagnosis 35 years ago wasn't any hope. Of course there's always hope with God. I lost my 29 year old beautiful Husband. I say live and be happy. She's a success and that's AMAZING. God bless her and your family🙏❤️
Kyle is a true gem. Jenny couldn’t get more loving and supporting husband than him and she deserves all care and understanding she gets ❤ I wish she can trick the cancer and outlive every odd out there. 🥺
My father in law was given 6 weeks and lived 4 more years! No life has a specific timeline so don’t ever give up! Hugs to you both! Kyle WOW you are and incredible human. ❤
My mother was told she had six months to live (she was 79 years old) if she didn't get chemo and radiation. She gave the doctors the middle finger and did NOTHING because she knew what a joke cancer treatment was and the greedy nature of the medical establishment . She was frail and didn't want to be tortured. How long did she live? SEVEN YEARS with NO treatment. Just a few aspirins and 4 glasses of wine in the evening. She died of pneumonia. Cancer is a big industry with little results and it's a crime that they get away with poisoning people with that garbage. I encourage everyone to go listen to Dr. Thomas Seyfried he has video's on RUclips. Cancer treatment is a ketogenic diet, a drug called DON and some anti parasite drugs like fenbendazole and Ivermectin.
Your kids are little enough that pulling them out of school won't make a bit of an academic difference. Having them with you as much as possible will help them emotionally down the road. 💕
Please don’t lose hope. In 2006, my mom had the same cancer and was given a year at best. She lived another 2 1/2 beyond that. Sending you strength and love. ❤
That's amazing to hear that you got so much extra time with her. Did your mom have LMD as well? Edit: No reply so I'm going to go ahead and assume you're misunderstood. LMD is awful and 2 years survival would be highly unusual, especially considering treatment is only 3 months old.
Guys can you open a post office box and do it for go fund me....l can imagine there's so many people that want to help you....people please tell them you would help.
My aunt had stage 4 ovarian cancer they gave her 2 years to live and she lived 8 years! There is always hope!! We’re keeping Jenny in our prayers and sending our love ❤❤ she’s so strong!!
My sister -in-law too! She had ovarian cancer. They gave her not very long and she lived 6 years. Her and her husband sought out alternative treatments from Germany in a clinic in Michigan, but none of that was covered by health insurance. She wrote a book and illustrated it called "Chemo Fairies". She visualized the treatment attacking the cancer and drew the illustrations, 1 for every treatment. She passed away suddenly, waiting for her husband to pick her up from the German clinic, in their waiting room. 😢 We miss Pamela a lot. My husband is the eldest sibling and she was next oldest. All of the other siblings are still here. Pamela passed less than a year after her mom, who died of primary biliary cirrhosis (non alcoholic cirrhosis), but from a blood transfusion in the early 1960s, in the early 2000s. I'm praying for them too! 🙏🏻❤️
Rewatching this one. Do hard to see Jenny in pain and scared. I just hate to see our Jenny going through this. We know she is pain free, in peace and with loved ones who greeted her in heaven. 💕💕💕💕
My father was given 6 months to live when he was first diagnosed with cancer. He ended up living another 4 years after being told that so don't give up hope Jenny and Kyle
But did he get radiation? I dont think it is a good idea to do radiation instead of enjoying the time with the kids. Radiation is brutal, I wish they would not do that 😢
@@irisxkx Proton radiation is targeted and as was said in the video, has less side effects than other treatments. My husband, who has stage 4 prostate cancer, had 26 rounds of EBRT two years ago and other than fatigue, he did very well. With ongoing ADT therapy, he's still in remission.
@@irisxkx it is her choice to do radiation. She has done it before and been OK. Not everyone is the same with how they react to or respond to treatment. Also treatments have improved greatly with regards to side effects etc and also buys her more time, which can potentially lead her to a better treatment or even cure. Please be kind and consider her feelings as she may be reading your comment. 🙏
Also, my parents weren’t honest with my brother and I (we were much older) about how bad it was. It’s been 14 years, and I still have flashes of resentment. Talking to your kids honestly is the biggest gift you will ever give your kids.
I'm very sorry for your loss of a parent as a child. 😢 As an older woman I have had to tell myself that for "any given stressful situation", that I did the best I could, at the time. No, it wasn't the death of a parent or spouse while my children were small, but I made a lot of mistakes. I would now choose differently. I don't know you or your situation, but I want to give you a virtual hug, for what you endured.
Yes my parents told me. They would not tell my sister who was older and expecting her first baby and they never told my brother who was in a wild stage and it took years ..til he got over the loss and the resentment. Telling the truth to little ones has to be so hard. We were older . I told Jenny and Kyle it was best to tell them the truth.
Praying so hard for you guys. What a sweet share that Kyle had a fleeting moment of "normal" with Jenny's Star Wars-loving oncologist. Hoping for good news soon. God bless.
I hear you, was the same with my parents (and my mother's cancer) she just couldn't bare the thought of telling us. We had to figure it out ourselves. Honesty is always better.
I know its hard, but dont let that 6 to 9 month diagnosis settle in your thoughts. Keep the faith and Im praying you recieve the miracle you and your family deserve. ❤
I agree! That diagnosis is never final. God knows when our time has come. There is always hope no matter what anyone says. I just spoke to a friend who was told her husband did not have long to live due to stage 4 kidney failure. He is doing great and the progression of the disease just seemed to stop suddenly.
I know we are all waiting for an update but if you watched Kyle’s video, he explains how overwhelmed they are and he has so much on his plate. God bless them both🙏
My sister passed from breast cancer but she lived 10 years.she fought the hole time . She would look up to heaven and say lord not yet . I want you to do the same,he will hear you.❤
There are so many of us following this amazing family and I was just thinking that it would be so powerful to set a time when we could all pray for a miracle for Jenny ,together at the same time. If that's too hard to make it happen at the same time ......Lets all of us pray as much as possible and as many of us for that miracle for complete healing. 💜
I agree!! Kyle is amazing, the kids are adorable and you can see how much they love you. Jenny, miracles DO happen... we're all rooting for you. Sending love & positive vibes to you all
Jenny - “I might have stage 4 but I still take care of myself.” You still manage to act jovial while in the midst of a storm. I’ve always heard that a positive attitude works wonders. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I hope this treatment is not too bad and gives you much more time..actually we all want a miracle for you soo much. Prayers continue. Jenny you still look good girl.. you are amazing. ❤❤❤❤lots of love going your way.
@carolinagurl22 I'm sorry to hear you're going through this as well. My prayers and thoughts are with you. You can beat cancer. I have faith. I generally dont post but something pulled me to respond to your post. May GOD bless and heal you.
We have a friend that we met from Minnesota. He came to Houston for Proton therapy treatment for his brain. It PIN POINTED the radiation to a specific spot of his brain. It worked well. He is cancer free. I pray that you have the same results.
In 2010 my father was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer, that spread to his lungs and liver. He is now 80 years old, 13 years later!! I wish you the best 🙏
Thank you for sharing. This is reassuring for people with similar diagnosis especially me. I had considered stopping chemo but your comment gave me hope.
I’m sure you’ve been told this before, but, I want to say how very brave you are Jenny. Putting your life on a public forum for all to see, to feel, to experience what you are going through, and will face in the future. I commend you and Kyle for exposing yourselves in such a manner. I watch you and I see a strong, beautiful woman who has been given one of the worst challenges life has to offer..and my heart goes out to you and your family. Kyle, you are the pillar of strength, the epitome of what wedding vows are about, and being a life partner for someone. Sending prayers for all.. ❤️ 🙏
That's your book, Kyle. Each treatment is a new chapter, and each chapter consists of all of the ups and downs Jenny, you, Ellis, Winnie, and your family and friends experienced with each treatment.
Jenny is just numb. She is in pain, and she feels defeated. I've experienced this recently with a 44 year old girl who passed away from breast cancer. As long as they have hope, they can get through everything when they tell you that your at the end of the journey, everyone changes. My heart goes out to you, Kyle, and your family.
Debbie I was wondering about the difference I see in jenny, almost seems drugged, uninterested, and I think you nailed it, defeat. That's it, and I hate that she's feeling that.
@@jillr759 Her last hospital stay really took a lot out of her, sad to say. Praying her treatments now will give her some relief with pain and anxiety .
@@Wafflesmom Keep in mind that Jenny is taking both pain meds and anti-anxiety meds. Both can make a person sound tired, flat, depressed, etc. They also suppress the appetite a great deal, which can result in weight loss. Pain meds should only be used as needed, because if they are used to prevent pain, the appetite can remain depressed all the time, which leads to weakness. I don't see Jenny as defeated at all. I see her as accepting the information she has been given, and she is being a realist. Anyone in her situation would be trying to balance the information with hope with this new treatment. People have gone into remission in far worse states than hers.
@@yellowbird5411there’s absolutely been a change due to meds. Anyone who has been around someone on them can see that. I wish all the best for them and I respect that Jenny is being realistic and preparing.
We all need a Kyle in our life. What a genuine man, husband and father. Jenny think about writing your kids future letters. Birthday, graduation, wedding, etc cards too also write some future letters to Kyle and Ash. What a beautiful family. Y’all are in our prayers. Praying for a miracle.
My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma when I was pregnant with our son. We thought he wouldn't live a year, but he participated in an experimental treatment program in Tucson, AZ and he lived to see our son turn 13. Only God knows the number of our days. How wonderful to trust in Him. I love your sweet family! Jenny is hilarious and I love the sense of humor you guys show even in the hardest of times. Much love to you and prayers daily for complete healing!
Please Jennie. Talk to the hospice. Make sure you get referred. I am at end stage ovarian cancer now spread. And nothing more than they can do. I also have months to live. But hospice have been like angels to me. Helping me with my pain every step of the way. They aim to make you pain free. Before they was looking after me I suffered crippling pain. Now I am so taken care of by them. Please get hospice care Jennie. It can overlap your oncology treatment. Lots of love to you all from my heart 💛💛💛
Exactly. The right hospice team can help you LIVE your remaining time to the fullest! It’s not just for when you are at the very very end, stuck in bed.
When we’re all clutching our chests and want to take the pain from Jenny, Kyle does the ‘Silly’ and makes us chuckle. He always manages to break the mood so we can breath. You are perfect for Jenny and she deserves you. You both are truly amazing. Sending love and gentle hugs from England 🌹💗
Very well said. You literally took the words from my heart. Kyle is so perfect for her. Not very many loving, patient, doting, and genuine men like him.❤
Kyle. Unsolicited loving advice: ❤ 1. It is NOT too early for pain management and /or palliative care services. Palliative care doesn't mean hospice. A lot of people graduate off of palliative care! 2. Eating dinner out right now is obviously not appealing to her. Get take-out. She wants to imprint on those precious babies by spending every minute possible as a family! She doesn't want to waste a minute of her life in a restaurant. And she has no appetite. 3. When you fill out those stupid medical forms just write NA beside the family history crap or leave it blank . I am a nurse & I know those questions are only for finding out her risk factors.... that's irrelevant at this time. 4. You are an awesome husband!
I disagree about going to dinner. Kyle is craving some alone time with his wife. Just a short dinner, being husband and wife, then back to the babies. Kyle needs his special time with Jenny too.
@@1cruiselvr656you are right! of course he does! I hope she feels up to it very soon. He wants couple time. It's a hard balance. I am so grateful for their very supportive families who are holding them up with caring for the children and providing meals, etc. Wish I lived closer to help them as well.
It has to be hard, because Jenny is sick and doesn't have the energy or strength to go on trips, and Kyle still wants to be able to enjoy her on outtings to get some form of normalcy. I feel this treatment is going to be that miracle I'm praying for her
He will learn to time her energy levels. Backing down to an hour out a day is a reasonable place to start, since she will probably lie about her pain levels to get the “most time”. I lie every day, even to myself about how long I can go without melting down. I’m in radiation myself. Treatment days are harder.
@@penniewyatt9391 oh no, so you know first hand, I pray for you both. I just hope this new treatment be the one. It has to be since it's new and much isn't known about it, it's possible it could work perfectly with her body. I hope you're getting good treatment as well.
She isn’t going on a trip for fun though. She is traveling to go to the doctor for treatment. I see what you are saying,he is talking about traveling. I’m sure if she isn’t feeling good and doesn’t want to go ,he will change his mind.
finishing watching your video again...I miss you...and even though it hurts to relieve these moments you give me strength to face my daily challenges...thanks Jenny our teacher Mrs. Appleford 🍎
WOW! I’ve read where the results can be amazing, depending on the type of cancer and the person. I’m sending a million wishes Jenny’s way!! She’s a fighter, this much we do know!! I’m very happy for your friend’s son so let’s keep the positivity going with Jenny!!
God bless you Jenny and Kyle. I lost my mom to lung cancer in 2021. She was diagnosed in December of 2020 and passed June 2021. But I am so thankful for the 64 years she was with us. Jenny you have survived this horrible disease for so long. I pray you are strengthened and I pray you are healed. I pray you have many more days with your babies and husband 🙏🏽🙏🏽 Life is but a vapor. I pray we all love each other and enjoy the days we are given❤️
Always know you aren't REQUIRED to be "positive" here. Allow yourself to grieve and feel your feels as emotions hit you in waves.. Take time to spoil yourselves with things you love and try to take things in small pieces. It can be overwhelming to envision months out. Just today. Just this moment in time. We 💙 you guys!!
Jenny fought hard and her doctors loved her but towards the end I feel like ..In my opinion from what iv seen from her vids they weren't realistic with her they gave her false hope which added unnecessary suffering physically mentally and financially...its doctors job to say when it's enough...the last 3 months of her life where too much ...she went through alot. And it was obvious there wasn't much hope im not a medical person and i could tell it was nearing the end ..rip angel no more pain while and healthy cancer free
I hear what your saying, however it was Jenny and Kyle’s decision to proceed with all the treatments. The doctors and medical professionals simply give options, not orders. The patient ultimately makes the decision which treatments if any they want to proceed with. Jenny was so young and had so much to lose, so I understand why she fought as hard as she did.
Terrible tragic conversation, shes so young, no wonder she is terrified, the light had gone from Jenny for a while in this video, its so awful, i cant imagine the fear, the fear of Jen, Kyle, kids, “how will mummy go away”, “why cant she be fixed”, So so much, day and night, cancer, cancer, its all Winnie knows, oh Kyle im so glad you were so strong,💪🏼 brilliant man ❤❤❤ xxx
Kyle I’m a nurse and let me tell you that you are doing AMAZING with your grasp of procedures and explaining them, when Jenny said I do she chose well. Many prayers from Minnesota🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
So true my mom was in pain up until the last few months toward the end from lung cancer. We brought in hospice and they did an amazing job of keeping her pain free. She had some great weeks up until she passed. I am praying for Jenny's complete healing and cancer free in Jesus name.! ❤🙏 Jenny you have a great husband and family by your side.
Im from UK and wondered if anyone in US has an appartment that this beautiful couple could stay in FREE. They deserve a break. It would take financial pressure off them. God bless you if you can help them.❤
Start writing notes/cards for your children's milestones so you'll be apart of the milestones. Birthday's, graduation, marriage, first child, etc. in case you pass within the 6-9 months given! This will mean a lot to your children when those milestones are hit.
Kyle your ability to explain procedures/medications Jenny is doing/taking is amazing. I can imagine years into the future people will turn to your videos for guidance if they are in the same situation. Your videos are so raw and so honest. You are both truly amazing people. I’m a nurse in Australia and Jenny has been on my mind every day since you received the news. Nothing would make me happier than Jenny getting more time with her babies
Thank you both for allowing us to go on this journey with you. You two are AMAZING. I was widowed at the age of 32 with 3 kids to raise, One with special needs. I am 53 now and God has been good to us.Its not easy but I use to say to myself when I didnt think I could make it one more day that there is light at the end of the tunnel and its not a train. God bless both of you and your sweet little ones, In my prayers always.
Please speak to the hospital’s oncology nurse navigator, if you have not done so, Kyle & Jenny. In my experience, The ONN has a wealth of knowledge on available resources for oncology patients. Including help with lodging, transportation, support groups, etc .The Nurse Navigator is also a great source of education & support for both patients & caregivers alike. Any member of your oncology team, including radiation-oncology, should be able to help you connect with the ONN. If the navigator doesn’t have the answers , it’s likely this person will be able to guide you to who may be able to help you all. Sending prayers & wishes of support , peace & healing. 💕
I've never seen another husband like Kyle....He's truly an original and I mean that in the very best way. He's carrying an enormous load and his pain has got to be excruciating. I think with the new treatmennt, the worry of the recent news, kyle struggling, jenny suffering i just dont think they have it in them to do video footage at the minute, they forgot to feed the kids and themselves the other day that show how all over the place they both are and rightly so you would be, they will update us as and when they can they are looking after themselves at the minute, if something terrible happened, god forbid, kyle would let us know, i think they are just getting through day by day at the minute xxxx
You guys are so beautiful together as a married couple and as a wonderful family. Your collective courage is truly amazing. My neighbour passed away a year ago from lung cancer. Unfortunately it had spread. He was given 6 months to live. However he was given 6 months to live in 2009. He trusted his doctors completely and he took one day at a time. Before he passed he said he only realised how to live once he got sick. Please don’t lose hope Jenny ❤
Jenny isn’t getting treatment for lung cancer at the moment. She has leptomeningeal disease. It’s a cancerous fluid build up between the membranes that cover the brain. The fluid puts pressure on the brain and flows up and down the spinal column including the central nervous system. Proton treatment might lessen the pressure on the brain but there is no cure for the disease.
I went through this with my husband 6 months to live. He received this proton treatment too . He lived 11 months. I relished every minute with him. So did the children. He had small cell lung cancer. He was made comfortable at home with hospice around his family like he wanted. Blessings and prayers to y’all and your family.
I love you both, my heart is breaking with you. I pray all the time you guys spend with each other is full of love and good memories, and I still do pray for the Lord to heal your whole body. I’m praying for a miracle!!!! And I pray for such a peace, and her pain diminishes, In Jesus Name ✨🕊️
Would you say the proton treatment is worth it? People have said in the comments that it's "brutal" and that Jenny shouldn't do it. I think I disagree but have not had experience with it myself. It obviously bought your husband a few more months. I am very sorry for your loss. I have cancer too and I hope that I die peacefully.
@@iSheree yes it was worth it to me but , it is different for everyone. No one person is the same. I worked for years in hospice as a nurse. I took care of so so many patients who were given 6 months to live who lived years after that point. Of course being cured is not expected but you could still have years left to live with the treatments being offered. Life is very short for everyone and we could all die at any time. Just know that every thing I’ve seen with death has been so peaceful and reassuring. Working in hospice was so wonderful and after years of doing so I feel no fear when it comes to death.
There might be a cure just around the corner. Check out AOH1996, which is an experimental drug developed at the very hospital where Jenny is receiving her radiation treatment! So far, it has cured every cancer it has been used against - and it has no side effects! This could be the cure we've all been waiting for!
Wow, I wonder why the New Zealand hospice experience isn't like that for many. Lost my Dad a few weeks ago after a long battle. He had about three months where they didn't have his pain under control. Hopefully the service in our country will improve 😞
**PAIN MANAGEMENT** Hi, Jenny & Kyle. I'm a retired Hospice counselor and wanted to pass along something I learned and observed in my patients. Many people are afraid if they begin Hospice care it's admitting they have a terminal diagnosis and sometimes believe they'll die sooner. Research, as well as observations of Hospice employees, indicate the opposite ie. many patients live longer. The reason is Hospice management of pain. Pain places tremendous stress on the body, causing it to tighten; when one is pain-free, the body relaxes which greatly relieves stress, physically and mentally. One of the goals of Hospice is to keep their patients as pain-free as possible and I have witnessed that personally. Good pain management requires one starting at a certain level of strong medication which is increased gradually as the patient needs it. Non-Hospice Drs. generally will never prescribe/administer this type of medication for pain control, saying the patient will become addicted. Hospice believes that's not really a valid issue as the goal is to keep the patient's pain under control so she will enjoy the time with family/friends instead of feeling horrible due to pain. I saw a poster on your previous video encourage you to get into Hospice sooner than later so you can benefit from their services more. I totally agree. Going to Hospice and when to go is a very personal choice. One has to have stopped all treatment to do so, which is another consideration. I've been following your journey but haven't posted. Seeing Jenny in such pain prompted me to do so now to share this information with which I totally agree having worked with many cancer patients. God bless you both and your family.
My father in Law actually had hospice at home. The nurse came and gave his pain medication. Then he had a pick ( I think that's what it's called ) inserted in his arm, and the syringes were filled and my mother in law administered the meds when he was in pain. There were also PSWs and family who helped. We were there when he passed 😢. This was 2 years ago.
I’ve had three family members use Hospice at my home and they are angels on earth. You do have to give up treatments and that was hard for my sister to understand because her cognitive abilities were being compromised by brain tumors. Her cancer started as non small cell lung cancer and moved to her brain and spine. Her original oncologist gave her 4-6 months without treatment. When you’re 49 and given a diagnosis like that it is very devastating. Her radiologist was more optimistic and told her no one has an expiration date stamped on the bottom of there foot. She lived almost 5 years after radiation and surgery. Good luck with the new treatment. Jenny sending you prayers for a successful treatment. ❤
SonShineLady7.....Totally agree with your comment. My husband had hospice and they were absolutely wonderful. God bless these people that help terminally ill patients.
@limey7376 The hospice nurse was there at the farm to see my father in law. Unfortunately a couple of hours after he passed my mother inlaw asked me to call her and let her know he passed, she came back right away. She was amazing. I was outside waiting for her, she gave me a huge hug and we cried. It was so hard to see him take his last breath 💔
I feel so privileged to be on this journey with you Jenny. I'm so grateful that today was a good day and that your nights are spent all as a family cuddling. I know you've got this and that you're not called "Our Brave Jenny" for nothing. Lots of love, prayers, positive vibes always to you all! xx💞
What a lovely radiation oncologist. Don't see too many doctors who take the time like he did. Thank you for posting this treatment, as someone with stage 4 lung cancer or anyone else here with cancer can hear about this treatment. I get my scan next week, and if my doctor told me results like you had, I would have thought there was nowhere else to go. Thank you for posting your treatments. It's truly helping others as well. Prayer and positive thoughts go out to you as you embark on this new treatment. Your video is inspiring and very hopeful.
I’m so proud of you, Jenny. You are a trooper with this cancer, and Kyle is so compassionate and sweet to you, and such a positive person for you. It’s not over. Miracles still happen.
I know it’s human nature to want to survive and get every minute you can, but this treatment should never have been. She lost her hair got bad side effects and died quicker than the 6-9 she was given. Quality vs quantity. RIP beautiful lady.
She wanted to try every possible treatment for her sweet babies. Please do not pass judgement. None of us knows what we would do in this same situation.
@@greensage395 Oh I’m sorry. My mum was a hospice nurse and it would upset her to see people suffer needlessly. Hospice was all about no pain. Truly sorry you’re going through this. God bless you.
Your opinion is wrong. You don’t know if this treatment contributed to her dying quicker than the 6 months. It’s possible if she did not get it, she would have died within a few weeks to 30 days, instead of 3 and 1/2 months. At the end of the day, they did not know if she could get past 9 months. That’s what they were hoping for. I’m sure if they went back in time and knew what the final outcome would be, that with this treatment, it would only give them until November, they would not have done it. Hair is nothing. In my opinion, the worst SEs came from the clinical trial she was also on.
I’m sure you guys are being inundated with other’s experiences but I had to give you ours. We had a family friend probably the age of you. She had 4 children with lung cancer then her brain. She was given 3 months to live. She lived 6 years. Please keep praying and going forward everyone is different than most experts can really know. Prayers to you guys and your little children. Can’t imagine what goes through their minds every time they say goodbyes to you. ❤
I pray for you DAILY! We've put you on our church's prayer list, too! Miracles happen every day and I know your miracle is coming. You're so inspiring to me as a daughter who lost her mother to cancer. Thank you for showing the realness of your journey❤
I know a case of a woman that outlived her expectancy by 10 years and she’s still going strong, her stage 4 ovarian cancer is not active and she was given a year to live at the time
I am feeling so sad and so worried. 😥 I literally cannot stop thinking about what they all have to be going through, right now. I keep thinking about how Winnie couldn't stop crying at Target or Ellis couldn't pick a toy. My heart is breaking for them. Dear God please help them through this. 🙏 I did see Kyle's, post. It tears my heart out.
My ex, has 3 types of cancer, it's difficult, bed ridden, just started trying hemp gummies, for pain, hanging by a thread, pls pray for him, while he is going through this, he is 78, and his name is Frank, he is saved and loves the Lord. love you. praying for a full recovery.
For the love of God go listen to Dr. Thomas Seyfried he has video's on RUclips. His cancer treatment is simple, inexpensive and it won't poison you. It's good information that could help everyone because cancer is epidemic now. God Bless and I'm a Christian also and as Christians we have the assurance that heaven waits for us. I just said a prayer for your ex.
You know what’s sad…many married couples have a hard time talking about bills, intimacy issues, or even parenting decisions…& you guys are so open talking about PAIN & DEATH! Talking about putting something into perspective! Kyle, keep sharing because this is your journey too. You’re not being selfish, you’ve been anything but! Jenny, I busted out laughing when you said that you needed to do some maintenance😂!Praying for you all!
My mom was in palliative care and she had no pain in the end. She was just ready to go. Jenny your such a strong brave woman and I’m praying for you and your beautiful family.
How many of you find yourselves almost worried sick over both Jenny and Sarah (pog family)? It's almost like it's happening to my own family or friends. It's amazing how close we can get to people we've never met or aren't likely ever to meet.
Gosh, thank y’all for sharing this incredibly difficult journey with us. Your brothers and sisters in Christ are lifting you all up. Cancer seems to be the thorn in the side of humanity. Such a cruel disease. Peace and love from Alabama.✝️
Kyle & Jenny, even though they accept your insurance, you should still talk to their finance office. A lot offer financial assistance in addition to insurance. It’s worth looking into. As always praying for you Jenny and your beautiful family. So happy that this day went so well for you!
This facility does offer a financial assistance plan based on need. Any go fund me receipts can be directed for other current and future needs this family will surely face, regardless of outcome. I strongly encourage you to contact their financial assistance department, pronto. The worst they can say is ‘no’. My prayers are with each of you-on all fronts.
I literally cried and still CRYING over the GODFUND ME TEXT and how much KYLE has supported his family and still is! PLEASE PLEASE EVERYONE SHARE THEIR VIDEOS EVERY WHERE SO THEY GET MORE AND MORE VIEWS SO MORE PEOPLE CAN HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW THIS BEAUTIFUL FAMILY! THEY DESERVE THE WORLD AND MORE. I HOPE THEY LIVE A GOOD LIFE IN THE END. THANK YOU KYLE FOR WORKING SO HARD. YOU'RE ONE HELL OF A GUY!
(The cancer was between the eyes in a very delicate and hard to get to area which made it even harder.)
My granddaughter just finished her Freshman year at Northeastern University in Boston!!!
That's a wonderful uplifting story thank you. My your Granddaughter live a long and happy life! ❤🙏💖
I love success stories and this made me very happy. ❤
Wow! I'm so happy for your granddaughter! Praying that Jenny has similar results
Wonderful…Wonderful…Wonderful!! I am so glad for your granddaughter!
That’s absolutely wonderful news! ❤️
I see the pain on Kyles face but he’s still the rock that Jenny needs. We all need a Kyle in our lives. What a selfless man. ❤
Exactly a loving soft place to fall❤
I see that too, he is so good with Jenny and the kids.
Yes he is a rock!
Kyle is so inspiring
@@katysmith-n2y Are you for real. They are not scammers and I only came across their videos tonight. She is one amazing strong brave woman fighting for her life so she can have quality time with her family.

Edit: overwhelmed by the comments, thank you so much. Jenny and Kyle have inspired me to document my own journey, so ill do that soon on here. The support is so beautiful and precious. Thank you for being here for them and for me ❤
I wish you well with your journey too xx

Wishing you a smooth and successful journey against this evil disease. I truly hope that you have a wonderful family/friend support system.
I agree, such a lovely true two persons staying in love!!! I love jou all

Proton beam therapy is said to be the best. People have had dramatic results. Prayers that your one of them Jenny. You’re in good hands.
Amazing to hear, hope it really works.

Proton beam therapy has great results with the harder to fix cancers. Hoping you have good results also ❤️
Some people have had an extra 4-5 years after using this therapy so I will wish for the best for Jenny and Kyle x
My sister was diagnosed with her cancer as stage IV, but from the get-go she was given from a few weeks up to 6 months. Our whole family was in tears constantly. She lived over 4 years, which I was grateful for. I am praying for you, that you have a huge miracle and live a very long time.
I'm so glad you shared this story of hope and so happy to know that you sister lived for 4 more years than expected! 💗
This brings so much hope Sarah, thank you for sharing
That would be a blessing for Jenny.
Very sorry for your precious loss ❤🙏🏻
Dear Jenny, please stay positive. My coworker had proton therapy for stage 4 lung cancer and she lived additional 3 years! ❤

My mum died of lung cancer in 2022. It happened quickly for her, but she had minimal pain and at the end she had all the drugs she needed and said to me and my brother “ no need to be scared of dying, it’s quite nice” ❤

You must have a miserable life
oh yes we love you jenny kyle children ,always in our Thoughts.
My sister was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor at 40. She went to Boston for proton radiation, which was experimental at the time. She lived 20+ yrs after that. There is always hope. Hang in there.
It’s not the same ! Jennie’s are metastasis not a primary tumor (the case of your sis ) but Jenny will do like the queen she is !!!
That’s Amazing such a Blessing, I am happy her treatment worked. Thank you for sharing with us😊🙏💖
Jenny has lung cancer which has spread to her brain not brain cancer Do not spread false hope
No, it's not the same as jennys, but without the proton radiation it would have been.
Ah... this comment touched me. Amazing how much love strangers can have.. You're right to pray because miracles do happen! Praying too.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen ❤️
Amen. God hear prayers .
Me too. That's one question I'll have for God when I get to see him is why this happens to good honest families and good people, while it seems the corrupt and evil people seem to live out their whole lives . Praying hard for a miracle.
I loved this. I too am praying.. ❤❤❤
It’s not a new trial didn’t you listen to what they said in the other video they are hoping it might buy a bit more time
Miracles can happen and you and your sweet family deserve one!! ❤
@@cintilanciaoh ok...that makes sense. As long as she's comfortable and the more time she has, the better. Hoping for the best for her and her family.
Not everyone is the same w/Cancer, or any disease.
@@stevenc5227😮that’s a blessing
Same with my brother. He lived for 10 years. And he WAS a smoker.
This is so painful to look back at
My friend's daughter was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma five years ago and had proton therapy and chemo. She did great. She is traveling in Europe as I write this. You are so fortunate to have this option. I am praying for you both!!!
Wow! That's amazing! So happy for you!!
What option?
That's an outlier. She's the .01% as this is the worst cancer of all.
Kyle is a true gem. Jenny couldn’t get more loving and supporting husband than him and she deserves all care and understanding she gets ❤ I wish she can trick the cancer and outlive every odd out there. 🥺
I am so sorry it is so hard in your lives,Jenny and Kyle.Good thoughts and prayers for you.
Do you have a Go Fund Me for this radiation???
@@lindagerling7945Hi Linda, they do have a Go Fund Me for everything relating to this. The link is in the description box. Bless You for asking. ❤🙏🏼
My father in law was given 6 weeks and lived 4 more years! No life has a specific timeline so don’t ever give up! Hugs to you both! Kyle WOW you are and incredible human. ❤
This is beautiful. So true. Her journey is unique as is her body and we don't know how she will respond to this treatment
@@raymilland3413 what an unhelpful nonsense opinion you just gave . Seriously
No one needs to suffer pain anymore when terminal. Don’t refuse meds that control your pain. And those you love know that so if you sleep.that’s fine
Your kids are little enough that pulling them out of school won't make a bit of an academic difference. Having them with you as much as possible will help them emotionally down the road. 💕
I agree... previous time they can spend together!

I couldn’t agree more.
I agree. They're probably not going to have their mind on school, and you need to be together now. Love you all
Love Jenni's comment about the family bed. 😢❤
You are so fortunate! My mom had LMD and was given 3-6 months and died 25 days later. Everyday is a gift. 13:58

My father was given 6 months to live when he was first diagnosed with cancer. He ended up living another 4 years after being told that so don't give up hope Jenny and Kyle
But did he get radiation? I dont think it is a good idea to do radiation instead of enjoying the time with the kids. Radiation is brutal, I wish they would not do that 😢
The radiation is buying more time, and they told her there wouldn't be bad side effects from it. I hear ya, though.
Also, my parents weren’t honest with my brother and I (we were much older) about how bad it was. It’s been 14 years, and I still have flashes of resentment. Talking to your kids honestly is the biggest gift you will ever give your kids.
I'm very sorry for your loss of a parent as a child. 😢
As an older woman I have had to tell myself that for "any given stressful situation", that I did the best I could, at the time. No, it wasn't the death of a parent or spouse while my children were small, but I made a lot of mistakes. I would now choose differently.
I don't know you or your situation, but I want to give you a virtual hug, for what you endured.
Great advice from someone who unfortunately knows ❤

Jenny is just numb. She is in pain, and she feels defeated. I've experienced this recently with a 44 year old girl who passed away from breast cancer.

Kyle. Unsolicited loving advice: ❤
I completely agree with you.❤
@@1cruiselvr656you are right! of course he does!

It's true. God prepares His children...❤
Hospice is wonderful

I know it’s human nature to want to survive and get every minute you can, but this treatment should never have been. She lost her hair got bad side effects and died quicker than the 6-9 she was given. Quality vs quantity. RIP beautiful lady.

They have as far as I know 2 Go Fund me’s current..
Hi Jenny, I'm from Australia and a friend of mine went to Baltimore some years ago for Proton treatment and I pray you get a good result like she did❤
I literally cried and still CRYING over the GODFUND ME TEXT and how much KYLE has supported his family and still is! I HOPE THEY LIVE A GOOD LIFE IN THE END. THANK YOU KYLE FOR WORKING SO HARD. YOU'RE ONE HELL OF A GUY!
