Justin…always love your content. Would love a video with you sharing your story…your background….how you got into this field….. You are so great on camera. Do you have a radio or tv background? Thanks for your great work. Gotta get your sub count flying. You are worth it.
Do you think its just horrible lack of noise insulation, or a really loud wheel/tire package? Wonder if the AWD SV with the 17" fixes it... Overall, sounds like the Buick Envista might be a much better option for most, ya?
I listened to the test drive of a RAV 4 and a Chevy Trax and a Honda 2025 CR-V. They all sound the same. it is the cameras picking up road noise. My 2023 Kicks is relatively quiet on the expressway. I would need to take the new Kicks for a test drive to see what it sounds like compared to my car to know anything for sure, but I'm happy with my car, so I won't be doing that any time soon. Everything works great on my car, and it was cheaper than the 2025. I like some of the new features on the new Kicks and compared to other cars in this segment, it is competitively price, but I don't need those features to get me where I need to go.
Hey Justin, a while back i commented on one of your videos. I said that I just watched the most coherent, informative car reviews ever, and now i can unsubscribe from all other car review channels. Now, i want to know where you hide the script from which you are reading from. How on earth do you remember all of the details about every car you review???? What's your trick? Just amazing.
I had a Kicks S, 2022 until Saturday night, drunk driver totalled it... Nissan really addressed all my complaints of the one I had however I will go see Ford and check if they have any Mavericks Hybrid in the lot first. Might even go see Subaru for Crosstrek. If all else fails, I'll go see Nissan. It was great on gas, and nimble but I wasn't in love with it. It was already showing rust and the droning CVT was a bit much!
I wanted to like the new kicks, but he said exactly how I felt. It was loud, I was shocked how much noise came into the cab, and power is just ok around town it wasn't good on the interstate. Lol, after hearing him make excuses for the lack of acceleration, maybe because I'm running the air? Really. Then he kept saying it's not that bad. For $32,000 it shouldn't be described by not bad. Swing and a miss by nissan...Test drive Mazda30, Subaru, Toyota, they are much better in there own ways.
I just went to the Nissan website and they say the Kicks is DIRECT INJECTION and NOT naturally aspirated. That means carbon can build up and cost you a small fortune in years to come. The kicks is the third noisiest car on the road. So they have made it look pretty but they should have put in some sound deadening material. Also, you will find that the prices for each version is far TOO high. Nissan has a HUGE amount of inventory and they are still NOT giving you a break on pricing. Check it out for yourself.
@@CarsMadeSimple - I'm just telling you what I saw on the Canadian Kicks website. I would love it if this car were naturally aspirated bc the fact that it is NOT boosted AND has a 2.0L 4 cylinder engine makes me VERY happy. 152 hp is fine with me. I don't personally care if it's noisy. The only thing I can't find is if it has a timing CHAIN or a timing BELT ? Can you help me out on that one, please ?
@@CarsMadeSimple - I doubled checked the Nissan Canada website and there it is as plain as day. ALL versions of the Kicks is DIRECT INJECTION. Unless they are making a different car in the US, I have no idea why you think it's naturally aspirated.
1) This is the CVT-XS, brand new for '24 and based on the reliable CVT-X, just smaller. 2) The CVT-XS was designed to handle the 2.5L that makes way more power, so the peak torque of the 2.0 is only 70% of the design spec of the transmission, meaning its very understressed.

I have a 22 kicks just remember to get the cvt fluid at 30k
Nissan if you made a hybrid option you would be crushing it!!
At this fuel economy no need. Price goes up several thousand dollars more. If you are an average driver. Not worth it. Great job nissan

The Kicks is certainly naturally aspirated. There are no Turbos or Superchargers on this vehicle.

@@S.L.S-407 It is clear that you are misinformed about direct injection and naturally aspirated as they are two totally separate things.
@@CarsMadeSimple - I wonder if you are one of those reviewers who are paid to give good reviews ❓
No power drivers seats? I'll pass on this one. And it needs a bigger engine
CVT and Nissan just says stay far away from this.

Interesting details! This would make sense that Nissan would try to share transmission components among their vehicles/engines to save money.
Then stay away from many other brands who have them too! 😂
