I would check this out instead of HRV since we are still waiting for HRV Hybrid in the USA. This has the Sentra engine with MPI port and direct injection which should be good for lifespan. Nissan make their cars feel solid and substantial in a way that Toyota and Honda do not. I would prefer Corolla Cross Hybrid or HRV Hybrid but it's good there's diversity in the segment.

Anyone considering the Kicks should also check out the new 2025 Chevrolet Trax. It's just as improved versus the outgoing model as the new Kicks is versus the outgoing Kicks. The Kicks has an advantage of having a 4-cylinder engine whereas the Trax has a turbo 3-cylinder engine but the Trax has the advantage of having a regular automatic transmission rather than a CVT and so many people still have a bad taste in their mouth when it comes to Nissan/Jatco CVT's and rightfully so. Either way, it's still worth it to compare the Kicks with the new 2025 Chevy Trax since the Trax actually runs around $1400 LESS than the Kicks across the board.

I think this is going to shoot up to their #2 seller. They priced it right and the styling and interior seem a class above.
But I also don’t think it needs a hybrid or more power. That’s what enthusiasts want. The people that are buying these are looking for something affordable… not power and as long as it’s getting 30+ mpg they’ll be happy. Not everyone wants to spend $40k on a car and drag race at every light. Let’s appreciate manufacturers building affordable cars and encourage them to keep building them! Kudos to Nissan for taking this upmarket without jacking up the price.
And it’s so funny with every new car Nissan reveals the amount of comments that follow the script of “Yea… but CVT/Jatco” or “But does it have a CVT” which I’ve even seen in Armada video comment sections 🤦🏾‍♂️... Can we just give credit where it’s due? They are finally making better products, are they perfect, NO, but Nissan is on the right path and building much better product than a decade ago.

Easy to say you'd pick this over Toyota or Honda, until it comes time to actually part with your money.

@@KirkKreifels now you're lucky to be an American, because this all new Kicks is still not available anywhere around the globe except for north America. Hopefully Nissan would inject their e-power pretty soon to this awesome vehicle

Either you get a discount up front or good resale value. For the most part it balances out. But with markups on Toyotas, you’re getting screwed because the higher resale value doesn’t account for that. No one is going to care that you paid $2-3k+ more when you’re trying to sell it because demand was high when you bought it new.

The deals you can get on the cheaper Nissans makes the Honda's and Toyotas waaaaaay more expensives.

Another reviewer that can’t get in his head this a new vehicle bearing the name Kicks, not a revised version of the old version that is still on sale under the name Kicks Play. Most of all couldn’t understand or accept the previous version was a city dweller. A souped up Versa. Not a family of 4 a dog and a cat and golf bags for a sporty weekend. Now enjoy this bland Soul like Nissan.

If a car can't do 0-60 in 7sec range and 1/4 in 15 sec range it isn't safe. Just picture a/c on / let's say 2 or more people in the car and or items in the trunk. Now you have to get into lane or get out of the way//THERE IS A MAJOR PROBLEM
