- This iPhone 12 was smashed so bad, that it physically cracked the Main Logic Board & the customer really needed all their photos & videos out of the phone.

iPhones have strong security built in, including full encryption of all the data, that prevents us from being able to just pull the NAND Memory chip & read it. We MUST get the iPhone to turn on, unlock the screen & click “Trust” on the iPhone screen to allow the phone to connect to the computer.
In this case, since the board itself was cracked, there is no way to actually repair the broken PCB. The only option here is to transplant just the bare minimum chips, CPU, NAND and EEPROM to a working motherboard.
And that process is a very meticulous and high risk process. As you’ll see in the video, it takes hours to complete this whole procedure and it is very highly skilled work.
We don’t recommend you even remotely try this yourself, as you will risk losing your data if you damaged any of the chips mentioned above.

In this video, we removed the underfilled NAND, CPU, as well as the EEPROM.
Did a CPU Reball, NAND Reball.
We used a 9mm Atten Hot Air Nozzle to hot air all the chips onto the board.
And viola! The phone booted up, but was I able to get the data?

Absolutely amazing work! I am confident in my microsoldering skills, but this is just another level! I don't think I would attempt this! Having the right stencils certainly helps!

Impressive work! Glad the CPU survived, big chips like that have an annoying tendency to crack or die when you apply enough heat to desolder them if they've had the chance to absorb any humidity.
Also, I can't help but wonder what happened to that poor phone looks like it got run over by a tank.

Brother I was sold a iphone xr back glass from amazon but it came with the camera frame and I believe it is spot welded from both ends of the frame. Is there a way to remove the spot welds/unweld?

"the proper way" is subjective. Everyone will have their own opinion on what's the proper way. I use both methods, depending on the shield
The Infiray P2 Pro camera does not pinpoint the same with the Macro Lens?
Macro Lens has nothing to do with how the colors change.

Jesse quick question, Why is it that when I used the same temperature and airflow you used to remove the CPU i popcorned mine it's an Atten unit too so am wondering where I must have gone wrong 😢
my temp is different than yours, as we're not calibrated to each other.
the nozzle size
working distance
ambient temperature
nozzle movements
they all affect it as well.
you'll need to practice & come up with a technique that works for your environment.

Do u put the shields back on for the case u fully repair the phone? Do u tin the pads with 138* solder and put them back on or how do u do that?

Please help me to recover my data, I think you are my only hope now… I’ve sent my 14 pro max to many shops in Thailand already, no one was able to fix it… my case was, I was drunk and I smashed my phone, then it was broken, a shop changed the screen and case for me, but then it restarts every 3 minutes, then I tried to update iOS, it stocked at around 80% and end up at restore mode… another shop said the board is broken, and they couldn’t fix that… could you help me?
