    Many of us are still recovering from last night's intense episode of The Chosen. At the end of the show, an extra-Biblical event occurred that left many viewers wondering why such a fatal incident needed to happen.
    In this video, Don Purdum breaks down the 200 year history that led to this scene. He'll share in detail the emotional love story of Thomas and Ramah, and the growing tension between Quintus (also referred to as Dominus) and the Centurion Gaius, and what led to disaster.
    There is a purpose for everything under the sun. In this story, we learn the one thing we all have in common as Christians and believers in Jesus of Nazareth. I hope you'll watch the full video, it moves fast and is chock full of insights about the episode as well as some history and theology.
    I want to share with you that I've started a new virtual Bible study on the foundations of Christianity in the Old Testament. If you're looking for a study that goes deep, informs your faith as believer in Jesus Christ, click here to learn more: faithandtrust.org/personal-bi...

    Thank you beautifully said. This is exactly what I needed to hear and needed to be reminded of. This world is not what’s important. To be with my Lord my God in the next is what I am striving for. He put me here for a reason. What I don’t understand I must trust in him alone because he loves me. His will be done . I will take up my cross for him so one day I will be with him. Josie Russo from Macomb, Michigan.

    When you said picking up your own cross means to embrace your own suffering, I have never thought about it like that before. Please say a prayer for me because I suffer from alcoholism mostly because I try to numb and block myself from the suffering. On the few occasions I don't drink a lot, that is when the suffering comes in hard to me, but strangely, inversely, those are also the times I feel more connected with Jesus and actually have meaningful prayers, but the next day it just becomes too much and go right back into the habit. It's all so destructive and hard so any prayer would be greatly appreciated because my prayer life has not been good for the past few years. Thank you and God bless!

    I suffered 22yrs of clinical depression, alcoholism and mental anguish. My belief, my faith started at the point of a gun because I asked God If I had any value left. Picking up the cross made me put down the bottle, leave my wife of 32 years for healing and growing strong in faith, with mental clarity.

    Only through suffering is the heart open to realize that Jesus is and has been there with the suffering. Otherwise, people will never be aware that the spiritual realm in Jesus is more important than any worldly comfort.

    Thomas was known as a "doubter", but the Bible never tells why. I think Dallas created a reason for us to see why Thomas became a doubter. And later, Thomas was not there when Jesus first arrived on the scene after his resurrection, so again, Thomas doubted what they'd told him - that The Saviour had risen. Our generation is full of doubt about Jesus. Many have lost loved ones and lost hope as well. I'm sure many can relate to losing a loved without good reason, or to the hands of a violent person. I also think that it was not time for the "last sign". And in the last scene of season 4, Jesus tells him why he didn't raise her. I think we'll see in future episodes the challenges Thomas will have to go through until he is finally satisfied at the moment Jesus shows up and has him put his fingers into his pierced palms and in his hand in His side. Then all doubt will melt away. I look forward to the day when I can see His face and dwell with Him forever.

    Thank you for the history lesson, but Gias had his servant's son( his step-son ) healed prior to this experience. Thus causing this soft spot Gias has for JESUS. Resulting in his arrest. Because of this behavior toward JESUS, he is subsequently released and placed in charge of the Jews. With the heavy hand exhibited by Dominus resulting in failure, Gias is released with hopes that a more gentle yet firm hand from Matthew's days become the law from Rome.

      @@dnam16 oh so Rama is not ready now. She dies and does nothing more but then gets the gift of living in heaven with Jesus. But the apostles and many believers who remain alive , whose time it is, have to endure tremendous hardships to end up in the same place as Rama. Sounds like Rama gets the better deal. In fact death looks very attractive to anyone facing hardships inherent in life if that is how it really works. Is that really how a just God works?

    • @dnam16
      @dnam16 День назад

      @janiceaxelsson974 I would have to be able to read the mind of the showrunner, since Rama is a completely fictional character and her story line is not based on any real event. So Jesus never made that statement in any of the Gospels. All I can provide is the Series explanation that comes later in the series.

      @@sherrylyn7194 I was harsh and maybe shouldnt have been. To be clear, I want preachers on here! RUclips is a wonderful place to spread the Word. Look at all the great comments from people learning more about the Bible in these comments! But many people have a bad taste of Christianity and want nothing to do with God because of their experience with bad 'christians' and pastors. I believe there is good talent with this channel, but it doesnt require keeping someone glued to the video until the end to find out who died when it could easily be part of the title. This is a problem with RUclipsrs in general, not just this channel, and trust me, I am just as critical there too! I will generally give a thumbs down with my comment, but did not do that here because I said what I said out of respect, not condemnation. I hope he continues creating videos and bringing others to Christ. I just hope it doesnt done through clickbait trickery too. We should be the shining light and higher standard on this platform.
