It's kind of ridiculous how much better looking the Telluride is vs almost all of its competitors.
ssanderford63 I’m Korean
@@Triumph32123 ???
@@Triumph32123 빙신
Right? It's like they all got together a few years ago and decided they should all look the same. The Highlander and Pilot look exactly alike. That's nuts to me.
ssanderford63 I KNOW RIGHT!? it has a very stubborn and aggressive looking car. Or should I say TRUCK BECAUSE THIS THING IS MASSIVE and it’s amazing because ITS A KIA and Kia isn’t really known for making this kind of stuff. And they did it VERY VERY WELL
43k fully loaded. 10 yr 100k warrenty. TAKE MY MONEY NOW.
They just took mine, now I wait 30 days to get it!
Cheaper than the Armada
i still want to see the pallisade and make my decision then
@@davekrukraft9281 I'm thinking of trading in my Tacoma for one, let me know if you like yours
@@Dyne191 Have had it 2 weeks,it was defect free, getting 23.7 mpg with 1k on it.yeah, pretty awsome so far.
Another success for KIA, a traditional three row, BIG wagon, that appeals to various lifestyles is what people want. Nothing against turbos but it’s nice to know that this is not a dying breed yet.. Just natural performance and longevity.
I think the interior and exterior styling will age really well in this vehicle.
Like your mom
Lifehacks stfu
A turbo engine is not always a good thing. Even these days, turbo equipped cars are still not as reliable as the normal aspirated engines. This SUV is powerful enough compared to its competitors.
Joe E. I mean it’s almost 300HP, we’ve gotten so desensitized by HP numbers. 300HP is a lot for a daily.
This vehicle is gorgeous. Better looking than the Hyundai Palisade.
$47k? Thats pretty good price for all that. Good job KIA!
I know, I was guessing like 60 or maybe even 70 lol
Except it looks like a 09 denali in the front and the new rolls royce truck in the back. They have no shame in copying
Cheaper than a SXL Sorento
@@ahberlowkz852 a wise man once told me if you want to be sucessful, either you innovate or you copy. The latter seems easier.
@@hendrahendra that man had no shame
if you look at this Telluride driving on a street, looks so much cooler. looks expensive.
I saw a black one driving near Muir wood thought 'man that looks like a 90 thousand dollar SUV'.
mom and dad both be happy in this vehicle.
I never thought I would be interested in a Kia lol🏁😎
Wolf Man ....ditto
That was my reactions when I bought my first one. Now I have a second Sorento.
W J Kia and Hyundai are Korean not Japanese
@@toyokawashigako1643 is this junk? why? i think it is quite decent
Toyokawa Shigako this is far from junk. You’re the crazy one!
I did buy a Honda Passport though.... function over form for me. Honda iVTM4 AWD is incredible! I rather have a rear limited slip differential than open front and rear differential’s. Center lock is .... pointless. That’s one way to gimp the vehicle when only 1 wheel has traction.
At those prices with KIA quality and features like this, the Telluride should be a great seller for KIA and value for dollar to the buyer/owner.
Good review Roman!
Reg Sparkes ... Think you are right. Apparently, Kia cannot build/make enough right now. Which is a GREAT sign for those workers in Georgia where it is built. Appears Kia has a real winner on its hands.
That blind spot video showing up by the tach when changing lane is awesome. I wish more vehicles did that because most people don't look at their blind sports when changing lanes
I fell in love with the Telluride as soon as I saw it! Now, if I could just afford it! Ha!
Regarding to warranty, the competition can't beat Hyundai's/Kia's 10 year/100,000-mile powertrain and 6-year/60,000 bumper-to-bumper packages. Although not a canyon carver nor as a rock climber, it's an all-excellent package as also its sibling, the Hyundai Palisades.
Look into the class action lawsuits against Kia for not fixing it's engines that are blowing up. They won't even can owners back
A mashup with the Telluride, the VW Atlas and the Ascent would be nice.
YES PLEASE! I have been looking at all of these for the wife. Through the Palisade in there too.
I was just thinking how this compares to the Atlas. This really isn’t in the same class as the Highlander or Pilot.
Maybe? But would you be able to tell which is which?
Knicole Edwards Subaru doesn’t work with TFL, so it will be hard for them to get an Ascent.
The Atlas is no joke, it was able to make it up Stage 3 of Gold mine hill. I’m really curious how the Telluride would do.
@@joshuarounds7180 only because it is better in almost every way.
Comparing that to be amount other cars like that cost nowadays, I will pay that much for one. That is definitely a good price for a brand new Telluride
Thanks
@@toyokawashigako1643 Kia is better than Nissan's shitty CVTs
@@toyokawashigako1643 but they might give you a new engine because they may or may not have forgotten to clean out the block of machining debris before finishing the engine :)

japekto I know, but it’s still fun to talk shit about them online :)
The Kia Telluride is a great and excellent SUV for the price, especially with all the features.
Yup, these are way better than the BMW thing you test drove. Also way more affordable, so all an all way more enjoyable perfect family truckster to own and yes I said owned not leased!
47K US is not bad for a fully loaded model, that's surprising. Kia did a great job with it, that is definitely a competitor in the market. Especially with the 7 seater SUVs segment heating up.
kia hit this one out of the ball park. homerun. reclining 3rd row???? GET REAL! Awesome.
So glad I didn't buy the Volvo XC90, I still like it but with the 20K I'm saving I can buy a boat too.
styner3 I loved the xc90 but I think I like this more. ESPECIALLY for the price
I had the XC 90 R Design fully loaded just a few months back. Loved it but it turned out to be a lemon due to electrical malfunctions. Volvo service sucks and Volvos are now owned by a Chinese parent company. They are going downhill
Krispity311, that’s why I didn’t buy one, I heard too many stories like yours.
Haha same!!!! I almost pulled trigger on xc90 2 weeks ago, waiting for this is well worth it!
@@TruthSpeaker3 As a previous XC90 owner, I can assure you your patience will pay off
I’m really proud of kia brand. They have been focusing on improving tech, design, tools facilitated.
It is a really nice car. I have an 06 sonata v6 and the quality has definitely gone way up even though my car is and has been extremely reliable. 187,000 miles on it and transmission has been replaced and that’s the only major thing that’s gone wrong.
KIA is KILLING it! Snaking the Audi designer was the best move they could have ever made. Can’t wait to buy this car!
They just snakes the lead designer from Lamborghini and Bentley too!! Audi guy has been here since 06
Life Sensei lmao another douchebag who thinks a Kia is the same now as it was 10years ago and it has 10years warranty.
@@dickheadbrian my 11 sonata has 185k on it, original engine lol.
I applaud KIA for not putting turbo in this car. A smooth V6 is actually much better to own and drive daily.
Eh
They are anemic for this size of vehicle
0-60 8.9 seconds is not bad at all. Reliability, interior space and cost efficient. That's a winner.
@@ks1ngh27 Considering that Moab, Utah is 4000 ft above sea level, "not bad at all" is a valid statement. And considering that the engine is running the Atkinson Cycle focused on fuel efficiency rather than performance it's fairly impressive.
Hear! Hear! I've been driving turbo 4's since the 1980's (Saabs) when turbos were rare. I owned a Mazda 626 with "TURBO" in foot high letters on the side. (I think that's why I collected several tickets in that car.) And I'm currently driving my second GTI. I love 'em. But turbocharging is neither necessary nor ideal in every vehicle, especially a two ton crossover designed primarily for maneuvering in the jungle of suburban traffic and for long freeway slogs. A naturally aspirated V6 (such as the one in my KIA Sorento) is delivers quieter, smoother, more linear power and will outlast a comparable turbocharged engine.
Not every vehicle needs to be designed for stoplight runs for pink slips, despite the adolescent fantasies of youtube fanboys.
Run it up the Ike! I need to tow with my vehicles, and this looks good, if it has enough power to pull a decent trailer...
5k like most 3 row crossovers. If you tow that much might as well get a tahoe or expedition
It'll toe as much as most people would ever need it to.
Just got one. Can get up to 30 mpg hwy easy.
That's impressive for such a large vehicle!
Is yours AWD or FWD?
With the wind pushing you.
That is a lot of car for $47k. Just looking at Truck pricing today and could not configure anything nice under $50k. I don't mind the lack of the Turbo on the Kia, I'm also sure that a lot of custom shops will offer parts to turn this into a decent off roader. Thanks for the great review.
I really like the rear it looks great the front isn’t too bad either . Quite sharp looking all the way around .
So it recently at the Atlanta Autoshow. Love the style in person, interior is very nicely done as well. Good job Kia!
Finally, thanks a lot guys for reviewing the top-spec trim with the SX Ultimate Package, that interior is absolutely gorgeous!
A turbo would just suck down more gas. Not to mention the 3.3T wants premium instead of regular. I think Kia/Hyundia did good to put in the revised 3.8L
Adding it as an option is a good thing, dont have to get it if you don't want. A turbo would help a lot. If you are someone that drives on a lot of one lane roads, passing power is important.
This is also a heavy vehicle. If its loaded up with people, gear and maybe pulling a camper or trailer, the extra power would really help.
@@michaels7984 it's a FWD drive vehicle. They're aren't any turbo V6 turbo 3 rows on the market for a reason. The torque output wouldnt work well, and would result in sloppy torque steer. The Edge ST is the only one I can think of (but it's a 2 row) and it's not refined when you stomp on the gas.
The Telluride is not meant to be a hot rod. If more output is needed, there are more powerful RWD based SUVs that can properly route additional torque. If anything, passing power is not the problem with the Telluride, it's low end grunt. It has plenty of output in the upper RPM range.
@@455LT1 they would absolutely need a different transmission for the 3.3 as it was designed for a rwd, but it is something they said they would consider in an interview if the demand was high enough.
Regardless, even if they went with a new turbo v6, it could still be done. Would probably have to be awd and be tuned differently than something like the Stinger, but it is feasible. There are a lot of other 3 rows with a lot more power than the telluride, having a ton more torque doesn't automatically mean it's going to drive like crap, it just has to be done right.
And no, it isn't meant to be a hot rod, and even with a turbo, it wouldn't be, it's too large. What it is though is arguably underpowered or adequate at best. Wanting better passing power or acceleration when the vehicle is loaded or has a trailer csn be a safety concern. Driving at higher altitudes like Colorado for instance hurts it too.
Even if you don't want a turbo, I dont see why it would bother anyone if it was an option, just buy the naturally aspirated and let other people want what they want.
@@michaels7984 I just think you'd be basically talking about Genesis money by the time they invest in such hardware for a product that would be super low volume. The MDX Type-S will be the only transverse mounted turbo V6 3 row on the market (that I'm aware of) and the price premium will be substantial. Unless Hyundai/Kia would plan to use that powertrain in another vehicle, I just don't see it making financial sense. The power take-off on the transaxle would have to be much beefier as the rear axle and would have to be engaged much more off the line (to prevent torque steer) and deal with more grunt.
Instead, Kia is much more likely to develop an electric assist system would could help fill the low end out with more grunt while also improving MPG. I don't see the market supporting an $55-60k Telluride that gets 16/21 mpg on premium.
@@455LT1 the previous generation explorer was fwd based with awd option and it ran with 365 hp and 350 lbft torque, the kia v6 twin turbo has only a little bit higher torque numbers. Its not something that has never been done.
They would have to do a new transmission which you may be right in that it isn't worth the cost to them.
But let's forget the turbo, the engine just needs more power, naturally aspirated or turbo, either way, it needs another option.
I hope Toyota is paying attention when it comes to 4Runner limited update, particularly with the safety features...
Limited is for soccer moms.
TFL = Best vehicle review channel out there. Thanks for another enjoyable and informative review.
The South Korean auto manufacturers sure have come a long way since the days of the Hyundai Excel. I was living in Los Angeles when those hit the market. If memory serves me right, they were $4995--the least expensive brand new car you could buy at the time. It seems to me Kia is going after the Explorer crowd with the Telluride.
🤨😐
Don’t forget the pony
I am glad it does not have a turbo
Same turbo not good
Good for power, but the longevity is slightly less, as far as potential repairs. But they still could have squeezed out more power.
Because you like weak under-powered full-size SUVs?
@@thorsky2754 That wasn't their objective. By designing the engine to run on the Atkinson Cycle they were aiming for greater fuel efficiency.
@@stephenhendricks103 but the fuel mileage is the same a my supercharged and turbocharged volvo xc90 engine.. but I will admit it will probably have less problems in the long run, but for me by the time I start having engine issues I'll be in the market for a new car..
I just bought the LX. With the same motor as the SX, but with a lot less options. But still has all the safety features. So makes it a little lighter. It has plenty of horse power for me, it still can scoot in the sport mode. For the week I have had it, it's a great ride.
Great review! I’ve got a 2016 Sorento SXL...Best car I’ve ever had and I got a great price on it too (all of that space and it’s only 3.5 inches longer than the beloved Passat TDI wagon it replaced). That Telluride is SO tempting. Safety, quality, tech, space, price...It has it ALL!
This will most likely be my next vehicle in the EX trim. When my 2015 Lincoln MKC 2.0 AWD shits the bed. As others have stated Kia did hit a MASSIVE home run with this SUV.
Nice review! Kia really knows how to pack features into their vehicles! 47k sounds like a good deal for what you get!
One thing though, when will we ever see a Kia or Hyundai do GoldMine hill? I’m sure many of us want to know if the open diffs front and rear can crawl up Stage 3. The Honda Pilot and Ridgeline were impressive but they have a rear limited slip differential.
JonDZ Adventuring We won’t see that now with the closing of Gold Mine Hill.
Kia has put in a lot of work and come a long way in making good, sturdy and beautiful vehicles. Definitely on my bucket list when I am looking to upgrade.
Toyota needs to fire their entire design department. Honda as well...
Hazel the foot long I agree
Agreed!
Hazel the foot long - LoL
Kia and Hyundai needs to put out their engine "fires".
Agreed, Toyotas look aweful. I only like the design of the Tundra.
Excellent review. My wife just turned in her 2005 Kia Sportage for the Telluride EX model. I really think this is going to be a game changer. Personally, I’m saving for a Volvo XC90, but I think the Kia is an awesome choice either way.
Got my XC90..BUT I DO LOVE what they did with this kia.. BUT LOVE my VOLVO, it's so unique on the road especially R design.. I feel like I'm going to see one of these on every corner of the road (like an explorer) and I dont like that..
Wife really likes this vehicle and we are thinking about grabbing one in two years after the initial bugs are worked out and can grab one that is a second year used model.
I was looking for anew awd three row. had to able to tow. Drove the Telluride, the Ascent, a Pilot. Bought an old Lexus GX 470 in fabulous condition, saved 10s of thousands.
Joel Oliver maybe, v8 will drink up the gas
Will strongly consider this vehicle, all reviews were good and you get a lot for your money! Impressive and very nice!!
Kia really did a good job recently! You can't beat the price with lots new technology features in telluride.
I was SUV shopping for quite a while and wasn't even considering Kia. I stumbled upon the Telluride by accident. I've been researching for a week and almost every word written about this thing is positive. And I have to admit, it hits the spot with its styling. It looks very much like a Range rover and a Durango mashed up. I am headed to the dealership today to see if it's comfortable to sit in. If it is, I think I'm going to get one. Hate having to order all of the options I want but the dealerships never have exactly what I'm looking for. It's OK, I can wait for the right version of this one.
Really nicely presented Roman, where is the location - the mountains are stunning! (got it - now in Moab lol)
Moab, Utah
Wow, TFL! so you drove it from Gateway to Moab, UTah? How many miles was that?
A proud father @12:24. God bless you all.
TFL, Why must you ALWAYS take it out of AUTO Mode? Leave it in auto, turn off traction control, if the vehicle struggles, then back up a few feet and try another terrain mode. You run the risk of accidentally handicaping a vehicles abilities.
You’ve got to understand that in a car like this, traction control is the only thing going for it in an off road setting. With street tires, no suspension travel, low bumpers and no ground clearance, traction control is the only useful feature, why turn it off?
@@tacoman1020 because, as with just about every car with traction control made, the computer's first instinct when it detects a tire slipping/going faster than the other tires is to either a)apply brakes or b)reduce engine power. you see it every single time they take a CUV up goldmine hill and even saw it with the jeeps which severely hinders the performance of the all wheel drive in an off-road situation. Jeep's owners manuals actually TELL YOU to turn off ECT/TCS in those situations. "Traction control" is about maintaining vehicle stability when you hit an icy patch of asphalt; it straight up gets in the way when clawing to move forward on a muddy or dusty trail.
@@tacoman1020 With most AWD systems the traction control is only for on-road driving and the owners manual specify to turn it off when off-road, sometimes the terrain mode selection does it for you. Off-road as with sand and deep snow you want all the power the engine has and some wheel spin. My main point was to give the AUTO mode on the the terrain selection a fair shot BEFORE changing modes.
But, do you plan on taking a Telluride to Telluride?
Imagine a fully locked and lifted version of this rig, awesome!
That is exactly something I would do with lottery money.
@@thorsky2754 well dont need lottery, as soon as ARB comes up with lockers and lift you are in business.
Kia made a concept dedicated offroad version of the Telluride y'know
This really is a great looking SUV. Take this styling, shrink it down a tad to a 5 seater with good rear cargo room and I'm first in line to buy!
They're probably saving the turbo v6 for the Genesis version.
Great review, I also watched Alex on Autos review. The Telluride has more combined interior room than almost all of its competitors. My lease on my 2017 GMC Acadia Denali is up this Summer, I am definitely test driving this car. The reliability I feel would be better than an Atlas, plus you have the Kia Warranty. From a styling perspective, this to me looks very European, like an XC90 or X5 at certain angles. Both the interior and exterior look much nicer than the Ascent, Pilot, Highlander, CX9 and it has more interior space than all of those competitors. This car looks hard to beat in the category.
It’s funny how the commercials promote this thing off-road and mudding, but yet there is no off-road mode
The yellow drl lights are actually a very interesting touch. All the other cars are doing led white light
If they had an option for the 5.0L from the genesis with a beefier transmission to handle the extra 130 hp this thing would be a German killer. They could add some chassis stiffening and bigger brakes and it could probably tow 7000 - 8000 pounds.
I wana trade in my Cadenza for this. Can’t wait to see more customized models soon. Great review
I like the look, good job, KIA.
Bunco 2500 looks better in black
I really like how the Telluride looks. Kia knows it's main demographic and are pumping out some really nice looking vehicles that will also run for a long time.
I love it, instead of buying that Range Rover Velar I would rather be seen in this Kia. Please take my money Kia.
Wow $47k?? That's a bargain! KIA is coming up! If they could give it more off-road capabilities, I'm sold!
You guys are awesome. Thanks for all the good reviews
Now we need a weekend buddy review with you, Nathan and Andre camping in the back
I feel sorry for anybody that has to sleep between Roman and Nathan @@pryme2013
If these 3 sleep in the back overnight, than Nathan will need a Fart button. Lol
This car has more features than my 70K BMW. And it's more practical too. But to be fair, it's apples and oranges. My BMW is a X3 M40i. A compact crossover.
But still, if you're not into sporty rides and just need something with adequate power and the versatility of a minivan, I think the Telluride is a very strong contender.
If you're a discerning buyer, that is.
TFL really needs to talk to a well established (10-15 years minimum) engine builder who does stock to high performance rebuilds. I do business with one such person and he has over the last few years had to go into many small displacement turbo powered V6 and 4 cal engines. If someone wants the turbo they either want to stuff the right foot down all the time or see if the 3.5 eco boost in the F-150 can really yank that 9-10K trailer around. In short every engine he has torn down has shown 2-3 times the internal wear of a non turbo engine. If someone wants to get that 200-250K out of an engine then the turbo is certainly not the way to go on a gas engine. If you’ve got the buckets to drop every 80-100K I guess it doesn’t matter. Great all around test/review as usual.👍
OMG the review I've been waiting for.
My last 5 vehicles have been Toyotas (Corolla, Camry X 2, Rav4 and Highlander) However, I am making this my retirement vehicle June 2020. I am at the stage in my life where I really value what I get for my money. This SX model gives me EVERYTHING I want at a reasonable price (when you compare to the other leading brands in this segment). As for the KIA badging, there are more important things in life and I am sure I will eventually get over it.
Sad it took you so long in life to stop caring what other people think about something as silly as a car badge. Who gives af what anyone thinks? Most judgemental people cant even afford a new car or to retire at all. Better late then never i suppose lol.
I seen one in person and it is freaking sweet. Id personally debage it lol but id love to have one as my family ride. Way way cheaper than a similar equipped tahoe and comes with 10 year warranty
When are you all going to take it up Gold Mine Hill? I would love to see that test.
I test drove one exactly like one at my dealership today, and let me tell you. I’d take this only costing under $50K than any “premium” brand. What you get for the money, you cant beat.
Best car for value, performance & aesthetics currently on the road (especially the 2021 Nightfall edition)
The 3800 is Back......in a Kia :D. I hope it's just as reliable. My dad had a Buick with that engine. That thing was bulletproof.
Um that's not even close to the same engine. Just same displacement.
Not gonna lie, when I first saw the name of the new Kia SUV, I laughed way too hard, bbuutt, I went to the local Kia dealership and checked it out in person, honestly impressed the hell out of me. The Nappa Leather, the 2nd row amenities, and the all around detail Kia took on this vehicle, impressed me. They really stepped their game up. Now it wasn't the awd telluride, just the fwd model. Now I wasn't impressed when I saw the 3.8 under the hood, but I guess a drop in filter and some hotter plugs can help it out, honestly I wish they would've put the 3.3ltr under the hood and bumped the numbers with a turbo, but that's me. Owning an 07 Santa Fe SE, I know what the 3.3 can do, especially under heavy load(towing 5500lbs) Now just waiting for the Hyundai Palaside if that's spelled right 🤣 but we wait to see. Great review 👍
Named after a town in Colorado. Surprised Roman didn't mention that.
Nope spelled wrong. LoL 😁
Same here. I have a 13 Explorer Sport. Probably going to trade it in for a loaded SX. This thing really impressed me inside and out, especially after seeing a mildly disappointing Ford Explorer redesign for 2020.

Got to crawl around in one of these at the car show today - VERY nice! I'd be curious to find out what kind of offroad tires you could put on it ...
wow what a great review this is. It was really informative thank you!
They should have thrown in a v8 option and definitely a dual exhaust either way I’m sold
This is the first KIA I'm considering buying. I've never cared for the styling of KIA but this is Bravo! The only thing that doesn't have me excited about the telluride is the gas mileage my wife is a realtor drives a ton 21 mpg is not going to work maybe next year they will release a hybrid version.
They have a niro
get a used lexus rx hybrid...
Hope they turbo this thing, wife love it's looks and features, but she isn't giving up her HEMI R/T Durango for a tiny V6.
Sir R/T Durango is plenty of fun to drive and a strong vehicle as well.
Being realistic, your wife and most of the world aren’t using v8s to their full potential.
@@waled121 ….lol you sir have not met my wife...no she doesn't take it on the track, but she is a bitch on the road, she is that person that will blow by you on the highway or drive just fast enough to keep you from moving over when you want to. I tried to get her a small 4banger car years ago, she drove it to work once, came home and said we have to get rid of it because it did not have enough power to block somebody from merging into her lane, so we got her a Tahoe with 5.7, ever since its been a v8 and that was 16 years ago.
Bob Reighnheart wow man you really made her sound some type of way lol can’t blame her where I love everybody drives that way we kinda have to in this big ass city
Bob Reighnheart Your wife sounds like everyone else who drives a v6 or four banger.
So if you lifted the Telluride and got the correct tires, could this be a pretty good off-roader?
Never rated Kia - but last week hired a Kia C'eed station wagon - and was quite impressed, handling & drive better than the Volvo wagon I hired a few months prior. Kia have come a long way....
PROUDLY BUILT IN WEST POINT, GEORGIA
That engine has been around for quite a while...
It is a revamped version of the lambda II v6 engine that was fitted in SUVs like 2006 Hyundai veracruz, 2007 Kia Sorento, 2005 Kia mohave, etc. I hope that like in those models they will later launch a 3.0 diesel v6, which could give it tons of torque an fuel economy.
I need a Hyundai Palisade review so I can choose between the two.
just for comparison, my 5'11" 15 year old sat in the back of the Atlas and Traverse before the Telluride, he said he fit fine... but being young, they are comfortable in odd places.
The Canadian model has a sand and mud mode with the snow mode
i know wtf!
Then I bet you can buy a Canadian ecu and swap it out to get that mode.
@@chrischambless yeah but why the hell should we have to?? what’s with auto manufacturers continually giving the shaft to its US customers. maybe its time to go back to buying american
emmcey well US manufacturers do the same thing. You can’t get a plug-in hybrid Ford Explorer in the US. You would have to go Lincoln to get that drivetrain, and pay for all the leather and wood grain that go with it.
In my part of the world we do get the diesel version (diesel is cheaper than petrol here) and have a bit more torque to get this thing moving. I like it a lot more than the Hyundai twin.
I like that they're bringing boxy, large suvs back. Now take it down black bear pass into telluride!
I love how you get in the third row and complain about the space. Lets all save everyone time and just agree no one is putting adults in the back unless they are completely drunk and need a lift home. This will be kids period. Good looking car. Wish it had a turbo as well. Should have put the stinger engine in it for the top trim. Nice review Roman. Love the channel.
Man with all the features and that body look it reminds me of the last gen of LR4, luxurious, well mannered on road, seats 7, heated rear seats, but wait the KIA is actually reliable...😅 maybe I'll take a look at some of these for the future.
refreshing to see a crossover suv that looks more truck/real suv like rather than the bubble look that everyone else is going for
Amen
Would love to get one of these used Tellurides in a few years.
I tried a few Kias over the last few years, in general they were nice cars for about the first 50k-60k miles, then little things started going wrong. A turbo hose disconnect, broken window switch, power seat, etc. Everything was covered under warranty, so I wasn’t out of pocket anything, but it got annoying after a while. If you’re only planning keeping a car 3-4 years, by all means, buy a Kia. Or better yet, lease one. They just don’t have the same long-term quality as their competitors.
Nobody’s mistaking this for a Range Rover so 90% of this review is worthless. Be prepared to see these on the road way more than the majority of the cars you compare it to.
I recently traded in my Genesis G80 lease and leased a KIA K900. Before the Genesis I only drove Cadillac. Friends of mine drove mixture of BMW, Lexus and Mercedes. I couldn’t praise the Genesis enough and if it weren’t for the badge, there would be a heck of a lot more K900 on the road. This SUV is gonna crush it.
K900 sounds like a robotic dog from the future. And that's an improvement over the old name, which was just K9.
Hard to look at people and say you drive something named after a pet.
I love the brawny boxy looks. Kinda like old land cruisers and jeep wagoneers. More car companies need to follow Kia's approach at exterior styling. This will age well and sell like hot cakes. I want one!!
You need to test a Nissan Armada. I had one for a rental to go to Chicago for a week and I was surprised by how quick and nimble it was, and I managed to average 19.5 MPG for the trip.
A locking center dif, on a soft roader crossover!? That’s really awesome. Trade the 20’s back down to 18’s, slap on some AT’s and a 2in lift, that thing should be a great all around SUV. Is a roof rack optional?
Edit: just built and priced on, it also comes with skid plates. This things looking really nice for what it is. I might not take it over a Jeep or Toyota for off-roading but I would take this over everything else in the segment right now. Good job Kia!
