Thanks again Tim. Jon and Charlie two synonymous names in bbf performance. My good friend Mark who just passed away knew Charlie well and we both got to meet John at pri show. Mark would’ve been hot after these heads. He still had the original p51s in box which i just purchased from his wife. Thanks for the update once again my friend.
Wow! Those heads are incredible! One thing, being a P-51 Mustang fan, they made a lot more than 200. Actually, I think there may be about 150 or more still flying. They built about 15,000 of all models during WWII. I have been in love with them since I was a kid. Nothing better than the sound of a Merlin at full tilt and the Mustang howl as they fly by! Great video! Thanks for sharing the information about these awesome new heads!

@@invoxicated I remember seeing a poster advertising auctions with starting bids around 500 to 1500 bucks. They varied from "war weary" to basically flown in from the factory. Still, absolutely insane to think about.
Thank Chuck Yeager for the RR Merlin getting out in the Mustangs. They originally had Allison V 12's. Merlin's made a lot more HP. Yeager did some horse trading for a Merlin and had his mechanics shoehorn it into a mustang. The rest was history. And Kasse has always made some great HP with his Ford's.

Glad to see that clay built up on bottom of runner now i know where 10 cfm is.i noticed when i do t remove the step in bottom of dove head it flows better.same as adding clay or holding my thumb in front bottom right side picks up cfm.
Finally a big block ford head that will keep up with a big block Chevy head, they did flow them on a 4.625 bore and he is quoting .800" lift numbers, but by the sheet it looks pretty good, it'll be interesting to see what if flows on a 4.5" bore at .400-.600" lift, actually usable power numbers for street cars
Did he ever come out with a production intake for the 351m or the 400m ? We really need a victor style for these motors ! To many of these engines still around needing hopped up instead of throwing them away
@DragBossGarage those heads are niice! I like how they use some of the tech from the SR-71 and eliminate the China rail spacer. Man those things move some air. I wonder how they would do on an NA high compression 427"+ SBF like 14:1 and above?? Are they too big forNA or better off boosted??
My God I don't know ,nice intake flow numbers, the exhaust is only half of intake .Will the intake to exhaust ratio require a longer exhaust duration cam?

My God I don't know ,nice intake flow numbers, the exhaust is only half of intake .Will the intake to exhaust ratio require a longer exhaust duration cam?
He said exhaust was 260 out of box, different on flow sheets. Some quick clean up and much less discrepancy, if that was true could crutch with cam

I have never seen any cast iron c8 or dove heads. Usually it’s elevated at short turn and cause ski jump effect
