    Carb is not set up right! Fuel is being pulled out of the accelerator nozzles doing the full length or the run. Cab needs anti pull over nozzles!

      That was part of the run in cycle. Couldn't go 460 as couldn't get a forged crank to suit the Ford journal Carillo rods.

      @@coupe545 it's impressive, I respect that. Though bought a 460 with air cobrajet heads for my 94F150 flareside. My father gave it to me. Money talks tho, got a boatload of Windsor stuff, heads, 2 blocks and ones a roller,intake,pistons already on the rods! Tci c4, that'll be the weak like if I get over the 100 powershot! And the weight advantage! Just for causing anyway!!

    I bought a 1970 Galaxie with the 429. $2000. Mid 14s in the 1/4 & 20 miles to a gallon. The 428s got 14 MPG and were slower. I never got why.
    Unfortunately the frame rusted and the 429 ripped apart. I still wish i kept it.

  • @KR-qs3rt

    If you look really close at the LS engine it resembles a small block Ford 351 windsor more than a resembles A 350 small block Chev..4 bolt heads, similar oil systems..almost identical bore spacing. Heck even the LS heads will even come within a hair of bolting on a 351W block.. The LS bottom end resembles more of a modular bottom end..Yea superior to the Windsor bottom end.. And the LS heads are light years ahead of the Windsor for efficient easy power. IMO Ford could have been where the LS is in the aftermarket if they'd had done an updated small block with the same bell housing pattern.. OHC build power but people like simplicity.. My 2 cents

    • @Frank289100
      @Frank289100 Год назад

      THE LS IS COMPLETELY BASED ON FORD DESIGNS. IT'S A REGURGITATED 427 HIGH RISER FORD AKA RAISED PORT 351 WINDSOR. NOT ONE DESIGN ASPECT OF THE OLD SMALL BLOCK CHEVY LIVES IN THE LS. THE LS IS 1000% BASED ON FORD DESIGNS. CHEVY COPIED FORD, BEING THE MOST CRIMINAL THING TO EVER BE PERPETRATED IN THE RACE WORLD. ASK YOURSELF HOW TO EPA ALLOWED THEM TO GET AWAY WITH MAKING A RACE ORIENTATED SMALL BLOCK FORD. GM HAS HAD THE EPA IN THEIR BACK POCKETS FOR DECADES PUTTING PRESSURE ON THEM TO HIGHLY REGULATE FORD AND THIS IS THE REASON FORD WENT MODULAR. ONCE FORD ABANDONED THE PUSHROD MOTOR, IS EXACTLY WHAT GM WANTED SO THEY COULD REDESIGN THEIR SMALL BLOCK USING THE FORD WINDSOR DESIGN PUTTING THE HIGH-RISER PORTS ON IT. SOMETHING FORD COULD HAVE DONE DECADES AGO BUT FROM STRICT EMISSION REGULATIONS PUSHED ON THEM BY THE EPA WITH GM HIDING BEHIND THE CURTAIN IS WHAT TIED FORD DOWN FROM DOING IT.

      block and bottom end was modeled loosely after the Northstar...taken from the LT5

    • @CoyoteFTW
      @CoyoteFTW 10 месяцев назад +1

      Ford Mod motors make more power stock heads and blocks breathe better and block strength is by far superior.. LS has excessive internal oil leakage due to cheby junk design another issue GM used “communication ports” or windows between the cylinders, above the main bores, but that leaves very little metal to hold the main bores and cam tunnels in place and can lead to wear problema in the LS the cam and crank are like noodles in there, and it wipes out bearings and lifters.
      This is why Richard maskin of dart machinery to said that LS was the most pathetic engine he ever worked on
      I agree if Ford would’ve updated the 351w modernized it the LS swap would never of been a thing.. you are absolute right about people wanting things easy they can’t be bothered to learn dohc engine even if it’s far better for making power… it’s the human way average person doesnt know back then one person built a whole car now there’s 30 different guys for every part.. people don’t like to learn no real passion

      @@CoyoteFTW I agree 200% with everything you said.. Even the Amsoil Engine Challenge forbid the modular against the OHV engines. No way they could compete against a modular. My point was the swapping of LSs into Mustangs makes me sick.

    Impressive numbers and it sounds awesome! I'm curious why you chose a 429 crank instead of using a 460 crank to get 30 more cubes out of it. Did you use an off the shelf piston or have custom pistons made and did you have to fly-cut the valve reliefs deeper for the P51 heads?

  • @gordocarbo
    @gordocarbo 11 месяцев назад

    Lsx heads are copied from levelands...now Ive heard it all. Not even in the same zip code.
