I came across this house right on the main road so I pulled over and hopped out of my truck to check it out. The grass was getting crazy long and all the windows and doors were boarded up. I knocked on 5 different neighbors doors but got no answer, so I decided to go ahead and clean it up for the neighborhood. What really really sucked though is that I had to park my truck on a side street since it was on a main road. I’ve had equipment stolen in the past so once I got the driveway cleaned up, I parked my truck there so I could keep an eye on my equipment.

I just got home from work and sat down to decompress and a newscast from World News Now was on my Facebook page. The article was about you and the kindness you did for the cat you found. I have watched you a few times on RUclips and thought " How kind is Spencer for what he does". But now I know you must be an ANGEL sent here to not only help your fellow man but also our four legged friends as well!! I’ve just been reading through some of the comments….. a few things
    1. If you don’t like what Spencer does, don’t watch
    2. Spencer does this all for free, so he does as much as he can in a day.
    3. Most of the time, Spencer tides up the empty lots, not for the landlords. But for the community.
    4. Agreed that you should wear a safety vest, especially on busy roads.
And lastly, I love my Fridays! I get to wind down just before bed(as I am in the UK) watching the transformations of kind Spencer’s work. Thanks ❤❤

Agree,, Spencer you should absolutely get a top of the line respirator and eye protection and wear it 100% of the time. Mold, fungus, bacteria, chemicals, fertilizers, just plain dust, wood fiber and poison plant particles all can cause very bad outcomes for your lungs. Find protections that are cool and comfortable to wear. My brother is a well regarded doctor. You might not notice it now, but in 10-20 years it will be an issue. Please also wear the protective vest as nails, rocks and more can really cause injury when they shoot out while mowing and edging. Finally I garden six days a week in my own yard. My Doctor gives me a Tetanus shot every 8 years instead of every 10 years just to be careful. Love to watch a pigs ears turn into a silk purse as my Dad used to say when finished a redo of a wreak of a house.

It's easiest to tell those who have some objections to Spencer's work, not to watch it if they don't like it. And he doesn't do anything for free. Each of these videos he charges well from Yt. If I'm not mistaken. As far as I can see, the criticism did not bear fruit since he made another video in which he did not rake the lawn. I advised him to rake the lawn. I won't follow him anymore. I followed him a little while ago, and now I stopped by to write something useful. Unlike all of you who only praise him.

    WEAR A MASK.
You're young and healthy. Don't jeopardise your youthful health by continuing to work unprotected. Dust and plant spores will colonise your lungs and lead to pulmonary damage that will not only shorten your life but adversely affect the quality of your life.

Why didn't he trim the bush that's right in front of the house? And why would he leave that ugly overgrown tree that's right up against the front fence? he also could have cleaned up the side of the house more where there was no poison ivy.
I think Spencer is now just in it for the money. He just finds these abandoned homes that are depressing to look at and he gives a 75% effort. I think I'm gonna have to unsubscribe soon unless Spencer improves.

You just doubled the value of the real estate! That driveway, WOW. Tell the neighbors that their house is ten degrees cooler because of the increase in air movement. That is called a “breeze”, remember those?

Excellent honorable job as always. I was wondering if you could spray the poison ivy on the fence with something that would at least kill it so it’d be safer and easier to remove later on. And also keep it from getting bigger and spreading more.

Probate. It’s expensive and not a fast process. Avoid at all costs by planning ahead and doing all your legal paperwork while still healthy. In some places, it doesn’t require an attorney to file the paperwork.

Vacant homes are usually foreclosures. Banks are notorious for wanting high dollar for homes that need tons of money to return to good shape. Plus interest rates are so high.

With 32 years experience I can promise you it was an FHA repo. They take forever to get put back on the market and then only by auction. Generally only Tealtors that spe iLize in them or VA are detailed enough to know when the au tions come up. Thus o e appears to me to be one that fell thro the cracks of the lender that repod it. I've bought 2 that the lender didn't even k ow they owned. Their execs were stunned and basically wanted then gone with a capital G. Wow. Good deals. Damn dumb realtors drive by that everyday and don't put in hard work to track down a way to buy it as it was pe nies on the dollar. Another reason I was a licensed pro for 32 years and a Realtor for about 5. The way it is now I'd love @sbmowing to follow up and see how long it takes to sell. Bet it's less than 90 days. If I still had clients that wanted to set up a portfolio...and the company was in a decent rental town I think I'd just follow them around!

I am always riveted when I see these videos it is really a Godsend because when you got hit by a car and are middle aged it feels really bad when you can't do the outdoor work that you used to be able to do. I started mowing lawns when I was 9 and I got some movement back enough that all I can do is mow with an electric but I cannot weed eat. Thank you for making a difference towards people whom are feeling bad about themself because they can't do all the yard work or afford to pay you. You are a true blessing dude THANK YOU for the vacant places too

Hey Spencer, great job on the transformation!! I love watching your videos right before I mow my own lawn. I just want to caution you about removing “Tree of Heaven”. You were standing right next to one while filming your ad break. It’s an invasive tree with lanceolate leaflets and the leaflets have little thumbs at the base. When you break them they smell like burnt peanut butter. The sap can cause a rash and enough of the sap can cause your heart to stop. Please wear protection! I know last week you had holes in your gloves.

Unfortunately this place is probably uninhabitable. If it’s been empty long enough for the yard to get 3 feet tall, it’s no doubt either been gutted right down to the interior doors and floor boards, or vandalized. Plus there’s probably all kinds of critters and poop in there. If it’s a nice enough lot, and someone did buy it. They’d probably bulldoze it.

  • @RuthieAubs
