Awesome job, Spencer! Here is my take on why watching Spencer's videos are so soothing. He completes the task every time. He edges, weed wacks, blows, and mows the yard. At the beginning, it's a mess by the end it's beautiful, tidy, and clean. Task completed. We don't get to do that very much in our daily lives. We have a running list of things to get done that take days, weeks, or months to complete. Our stress is on going. Spencer's task is usually completed in one day, that's satisfying. Tomorrow is a new day.
At first I thought I was the only one that, oddly enough, enjoyed the videos to the point of being relaxing to watch. I love seeing the transformations. But most people that watch gets a call relaxed feeling of some sort. One day my grandson saw me on my phone intensely and asked what I was watching and I told him. He said, " you watch him too. So do I". And we both agreed it was enjoying to watch. My lawn guy even watched🤭. I love before and after projects. I look forward to these transformations on Friday

Spencer you did it again, you restored order, worked your magic to make the forgotten mess back into a home. I noticed that missing AC unit right off, crazy what folks will steal and you know someone had to take some time getting it off the property. Another quality makeover by SB Mowing.
I bet the neighbors are grateful when you come along and spruce up these lots. Makes everyone happy. Hope you’re doing well Spencer. I look forward to each Friday to see your latest clean up. Thank you ❤

Keep spreading the love. Your editing on your video's are spectacular also. I just can't say enough. May your channel continue to grow 😊 God bless you.
Spencer: when a neighbor see you in their area,- working, I bet they are so happy. Just cleaning up that one yard makes all the difference in the world. Super! Carol from California.
It is such a pleasure to watch you and these wonderful transformations. I used to do my own yard work and now have to pay someone. He does okay but it’s not the same. Love the aroma of a freshly mowed lawn. You have wonderful tools and super edging skills. Best wishes to you and Mrs.
But many people who need housing, have neither the means nor skills to maintain a property. And some, like my ex husband, have no desire to be a homeowner. No ambition.
Beautiful transformation! My favorite part is always when you blow everything off to reveal all the clean edges and recovered concrete work. So satisfying!
Thank you, Spencer. Cleaning this property not only improves the neighborhood but deters squatters and people dropping trash. Watching this from Vermont.
I have noticed how most of the nearby homes are all maintained with manicured lawns. It's sad to see this. So many others who need housing and then you see all the abandoned houses. Another great job, Spencer. Thanks for the video! 😁✌🌿
I love your videos. Im 77 , still do my one acre of lawn. I edge, trim, have a tractor to mow with. I keep it nice and clean!! I get good Ideas from you, thank you!! love watching this !! am I weird????
An unkempt property is an engraved invitation to squatters and vandals. Not only does it denote that no-one tends to it but the overgrowth provides camouflage. Dumping junk on any seemingly unoccupied property appears to be global. I've seen videos from the UK, Australia, Vietnam & the U.S. where this happens. Great job clearing it up and making the whole neighbourhood safer.
Great job Spencer. I wish someone would come along and turn this house into a home again. I find it so sad, that so many families are out there homeless, and so many homes are family-less, maybe someone out there could help a homeless family to work to put in the sweat equity that is done sometimes for Habitat for Humanity, and local businesses could donate supplies and other things to help someone to have a home. Because there is a world of difference between an empty house, and loving home full of life and laughter. You start that process by beautifying the outside with such great care. Like putting on a new set of clothes for the house. Maybe someday, someone will come by and see that this house, deserves to be a home again.
First of all, to own your own business and be successful is extremely difficult, and only certain people are made for owning their own business. Especially this kind you’ve got to be new and innovative, constantly, adding a merch store, having a personality that people like on screen, having content that you’re lucky enough people wanna watch, getting endorsements from products and seeking those out. Most of us would not be able to be successful in owning our own business, we want to get home at the end of day and not think about it. But a business owner is thinking about his business 24 x 7 x 365, and I bet he’s even dreaming about it at night! What a lucky person too love what he does as well! And then to also help people in need, and neighborhoods is just icing on the cake.
I think it’s interesting how the weeds take over and completely choke out any grass. After the cut, it looks a little bare -someone should throw some grass seed out!! Lol But at least it looks SO much better than before and the drainage at the curb can flow now -I noticed how wet that spot was compared to the rest of the street. Good job Spencer 💜
Good Morning Spencer once again from the Pacific Northwest! Thank you for sharing your videos as you care for these forgotten and neglected properties. Thank you for all you do! Wishing you and Mrs SB a great day! Be safe, wishing you continued good health!💕
Thank you to Spencer of SB Mowing for helping Edger and Ivy's cat shelter stay open. He made them over 160,000 dollars!! I think Edgar and Ivy's might be on Instagram??
^ THIS ^ is EXACTLY what I think every single time I see a video (not only SB but other channels) where there's a decent house, large lot, etc - that's cash just sitting there!!!!!
If they were worth anything they'd be sold. Probably not a great neighborhood, bad schools, no jobs, etc. The county could already own this house and when it comes up on the auction rolls no one buys it.
Looks great, as always! I was thinking that this one must have seemed like a breeze after last week when you had to cut down twenty trees before you could even mow.
I may be mistaken, but I think I met you in Corpus Christie about 20 years ago. I don’t remember how or why. Then again a few years ago because of a street cat. There was a property near me that the neighbors and I did take care of, but it dragged on for years and we got tired of working on someone else's issues. Was really sad
I did that for the front yard for a neighbor house (owned by a landlord) and the backyard ended up looking like a jungle because it was too big for me. I finally got tired of it and called the city inspector. He told me not to do that because then they don’t see the problem. They put the owner on notice that he had X amount of time to cut it or the city would do it for him (and charge him $500).
I want to make a new comment but I don’t see how. It looks awesome, but I have to wonder what will happen going forward. If the absentee owner didn’t care enough to maintain the property, they probably still don’t. It’s not really the responsibility of the neighbors to maintain it. That would be providing a service for free to the owner. It is the responsibility of the owner, not the neighbors. If the city doesn’t have a law that holds the owners responsible for this, they should make one. How long will it take before this becomes overgrown again?
I’ve watched quite a number of your videos and noticed something in each. Yes, most houses up North were wooden framed, then as clay was found, they were faced with brick. Brick was more commonly used in the South, for larger structures such as factories and big manor houses. These houses were probably built right after WWII, as veteran housing. A law was passed that if you built a house, you-had to either build one for a veteran or rent an apartment to one. My father in law chose to build a separate house next door, a mirror image of his. Both still stand.
people who don't care and don't want to pay to get rid of stuff. more than likely not from the neighborhood dumping in. it's sad and disgusting what people think they have the right to do
