    Salaries in Aus are generally very high because the cost of living is very high. Working in McDonald’s you can earn between 15 to 20 dollars an hour.
    But a packet of cigarettes are 25 dollars , 500 ml bottle of water is around 5 dollars so it’s relative.

    Getting paid a lot of money is great but if you do something you hate the money means nothing in the end.

      Precisely and most hate it and would switch in a heartbeat if given anoher job with same payment as the one they are currently getting.
      This field has gotten extremely rotten and will continue to deteriorate from here on out.
      It's not what it use to be.
      Not for the faint of heart as well.

    Hello Dr
    I'm watching your videos which are much helpful to us.
    My daughter has scored 611 in NEET and will do Mbbs from this year in India most probably in private medical College for which total cost will come around 50 Lakhs INR.
    Is it wise to do PG in Australia after completing Mbbs or do PG in India and adapt Specialist pathway.
    Please guide.
    We belong to middle class family and really mbbs fees is not affordable for us. But to accomplish my daughter's wish , we are taking risk.

      Better to pursue pg in india because even to sit for exams for Australia or any other will cost a lot for eg to give usmle total approx cost would be around 25 to 30 lakh and it doesn’t guarantee whether your daughter will get a seat or not

    Is residency in Australia free?

    • @jayant7172
      @jayant7172 9 месяцев назад +2

      Yes, of course. But you needed to be informed that it would take 1 year internship, 3 year residency (You will not go for specific speciality in this period) and after that 5 years of speciality training. But the salary will increase every year to adjust the inflation. Better to pursue it in the UK and then getting the accreditation from Australia.

    • @jayant7172
      @jayant7172 9 месяцев назад

      @@heyy8691 No, not whatsoever. Residency in Australia is completely free but it takes a lot of years to enter into Surgical Speciality in Australia even for the graduates of Australia (atleast 12 years). But still until you are not into your training program, you are required to work at any hospital in your speciality of interest and your salary will increase every year to adjust for the inflation no matter what and whilst you're working in your speciality of interest you have to get the required qualifications. Just after MBBS you'll start earning A$ 80000 per annum.
