    How Stephanie thanks for sharing. Can I use 3 stick of butter?

    • @StephaniesKitchen
      @StephaniesKitchen  4 года назад

      Hi Marchetta! I’ve never used 3 sticks of butter in this recipe. In fact, I made these cakes on Wednesday and gave that a thought. I do believe the shortening in this recipe makes it smooth and fluffy. I’ve even used cooking oil instead of solid shortening and it came out fine.

      @StephaniesKitchen  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Everline, I actually just looked on Amazon for the Vanilla Nut flavor, but they don't have it anymore. I even went to the Watkin's website looking for it but they don't have it there either. Now I have to find it myself because that stuff is great. I even use a little in my oatmeal when I make it. Thank you for stopping by and when I find it again, I will let you know where to get it.

    To have such a powerful stand mixer, you sure are doing a lot of hand mixing. But I guess that's what you have to do.

    • @StephaniesKitchen
      @StephaniesKitchen  6 лет назад +2

      Yes, you're right! Because you have to make sure your batter is well combined and these mixers mostly do not get to the bottom of your bowl or the sides, so you have to scrape it EVERY time. And you do not want to over mix a cake. Thank you so much for your comment.
