Thank you very much. I used to operate an interior painting business. Cleaned windows on the side. But, your thoughts on pricing are spot on. Never underbid. Be fair. But be willing to walk away from jobs. I was laid off from a corporate job in October, and I think it's time to get back in the game and work for myself again. Your video was encouraging!
I needed this man, definitely helps me with my pricing coming back into the game years and years later. I think based off my previous system and what the new rates are, I feel comfortable settling on my prices. Everything you've said about what we do is a value in service and what we offer is spot on. I'm glad you said it and more people need to recognize.
I’m glad you found some value in this video bro. I’ve even raised my prices since dropping this video based on some feedback I’ve received. It’s a LUXERY service and we should be pricing accordingly. Welcome back to the game dude 🤙
Totally agree with your vlog and im finding out what state and area your in differs too im in upstate new york n im seasonal with houses.i got a system now where i go by size of window it works but i do also add extra for harder window to get too .keep up the good work
Hows it going man, really enjoy watching your videos! I actually just started my window cleaning business out here in the Pasadena/alhambra area and I gotta give you thanks for one of your motivational videos you posted recently. That really gave me the nudge to go out and find store front clients to build my experience! My first day I landed 3 clients (walked into 10+ stores) and made $80 which isn’t much but the experience was definitely worth the invested time! Plus, one of those clients booked me for a monthly window service ! Now watching this video has really helped me learn to price windows properly and I totally agree, you cannot cut yourself short on your prices, charge what you are worth! So we can all thrive! Again I really appreciate your videos. Maybe you can film one showing all the proper tools you’ll need for a single story home? Thank you!
I’m glad you’re finding some value in the videos 🤙. I should note that this video is for residential pricing and commercial pricing is actually a little bit different. Sounds like you’re off to a good start though! Can’t wait to see where you’re at a year or two from now. Keep pushing, and Best of luck to you 🤙
On nextdoor where im from, coachella valley , theres alot of people that do that,100 inside out, your right it messes things up for everyone because everyone expects that price
It’s super hot out there too. I’ve done event work out there and that summer time heat is no joke. I guess some people prefer to do more work for less 🤷♂️
Near Tampa FL we're charging $12/window for outside only and $22 per for everything (inside/out plus screens and tracks). We can average $80-$120 per hour depending on the difficulty.
Love the feedback dude, thank you. I’m sure your input will help everyone see that the market varies depending on where you’re located . Glad to hear you’re killin it 🤙
@@Puffwindowcleaning just for context I started 5 years ago at $8/window outside and $12 inside/out, and I used to drive to every quote... Now 5 years later I've raised prices almost every January and don't waste time driving to quotes (just change the price before starting if the window count is off) unless it's a really big house.
Seeing that as a realistic price makes me feel a lot better... Finally pulling the trigger and starting up as winter ends and was thinking $5 per pane, or $20 per window inside and out
@@xIggy69x since making this video and hearing what others have been charging I’ve been doing my quotes at $5 per pane per side so $10 per pane inside/outside, and I’ve been booking those jobs which comes out to $20 per window. It’s a big price increase, but I think it’s necessary if I’m going to continue growing my business.
I wouldn’t worry about these guys that are underbidding. They come and go. They typically attract the type of customers that you probably don’t want to work with anyway.
Thanks for the feedback. You’re 100% correct. After posting this I got inspired to actually raise my prices a bit, and even with higher prices I’ve still managed to book a huge majority of my estimates 🤙
I feel ya… only everything you said is how your pricing sounds to me. I don’t know your operating costs, but I know if my van isn’t grossing at minimum $750/day it’s not good. @@Puffwindowcleaning you said it yourself, you’re in California… I would assume people are used to higher prices for most everything else… it’s your job to correct the market perception of window cleaning pricing

For a standard double hung window (2 panes) I charge $12 + $2 per screen
For the panes is both of those glass?
