Looks to be an almost arcade perfect port. only difference seeming to be Sound quality and Lower Resolution on Dreamcast.
The naomi/dreamcast can do basically perfect ports, that was the idea of using cheap hardware after Model 3 in the arcades in the form of the naomi. One biggest difference, is the Naomi is always on a 31k VGA screen, the dreamcast can do this but most people had them wired to 15khz crt tvs, making the resolution a lot less at home.

Best game of its kind. Graphics way ahead of its time. It's still so much fun to play, despite a choppy control and the fact that all the players depicted in the game are already retired.

The licensed stuff is perfectly modeled: Japan's kits, adidas Predator Accelerator cleats, and arguably one of the most beautiful World Cup balls ever, the adidas Tricolore. What is really impressive is each team's kits. Despite not being licensed they certainly match their real-life counterparts of FIFA World Cup France '98. I personally bought the Holland '98 home shirt because of this game.
The sound quality on the Dreamcast version is pretty low compared to the arcade version. But everything else looks pretty much identical.
The players look a bit smaller on Dreamcast to me
If you compare the textures on the players you can see the Dreamcast ones are blurrier and the Naomi are sharper. But yeah, quite identical.

With the Dreamcast version it is practically arcade perfect aside from the lower quality sound. It shows that the Dreamcast was one hell of a system.

You are correct.
Yes, only sound RAM is 4x the Dreamcast 2MB. And Naomi has the same gdrom drive of the Dreamcast but It load the entire content into a dedicated memory pool to remove any load times.

Does someone knows why the "clarity" or "definition" on the dreamcast its a bit lower? It looks like they both manage same amounts of colors and resolution, but there´s something that´s makes it sharper on the arcade.

Used to play this in the arcades. I remember I could score long shots from almost the center of the field, can't seem to do that on the DC version.
That was Virtua Striker 2 (1997). Virtua Striker 2 ver. 2000 is the third update for arcades. Long shots are possible on ver. 2000, but they're not as easy as in VS2.

This game was so popular in Morocco, I used to score goals from the kickoff with 2 passes and 1 shot to the goal.
Nessa comparação talvez a maior diferença seja que um lado é versão 2000 e o outro é 2000.1. Talvez algum time tenha o uniforme diferente e a escalação atualizada ou nem isso. Pareceu que deu pra ver melhor o papel jogado no campo naquele primeiro jogo. Isso era alguma configuração interna que isso acontece só quando o jogo tem a argentina e mais dois times que não lembro agora.

Back in the days we Europeans we were playing the PAL version which was capped at 50 FPS and was too slow. Nowadays i play the USA version on a CRT monitor and the game feels like it was supposed to feel back then... better late than never..

There are people saying That the dreamcast resolution is a little bit Lower then the sega Naomi lol AHHH NO... your wrong the sega Naomi although having more sound and ram stuff is IDENTICAL in hardware specs to the sega dreamcast, so this games sound and res on the dreamcast is arcade perfect to the sega Naomi ❤️
The only difference i noticed seem to be the ppl inside the stadium, on the arcade they move a little more and on the dreamcast a little less and slower.
the size of the players are bigger on the Arcade, the resolution is also higher on the Arcade.
Virtua Striker was way more sim than every game on its early years (1994)
by the time VS 2 was released, it still was more sim than every other game, until the ISS (Konami too) or the Winning Eleven saga got its second game.
FIFA97 is a good game, though not at the level Winning eleven or Virtua Striker had back in the day.
Not for me. Iss for the snes and iss 64 were sims. Its hard to play virtua striker like a football game.

Pra mim são iguais porém,a versão de dreamcast o som às vezes ficava mudo por uns 2 segundos. De resto as versões estão idênticas.

Null jamás me funcionó bien en ningún pc, así que emulo la versión arcade del Supermodel 3 y me va excelente

Yes that's a flaw of the game, it's too frantic. You can't take your time on the ball.
At first I was thinking, Virtua Striker 2 is for Sega Model 3... But I searched and this is the updated version called Virtua Striker 2000.

Primero, la sega model 3 no era una placa dificil de portear a sega Dreamcast, el problema era que Sega se comprometió con Microsoft a utilizar windows CE, el verdadero lastre de los ports de model 3 a Dreamcast fue ese.
Segundo, Naomi no estaba basado en Dreamcast, es al contrario, Dreamcast fue una version consola de la placa sega Naomi, la prueba esta en que practicamente todos los juegos de lanzamiento de Dreamcast son juegos arcade, con estilo arcade y que efecticamente salieron en arcade previamente para la placa Naomi: Virtua Tennis, Crazy, Taxi, Virtua Striker, Ferrari 355, 18 Wheeler, Giant Gram, Guilty Gear X, House of the Dead 2, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Dead or Alive 2, etc etc.
Dreamcast no recibia puros juegos de estilo arcade porque si, sino porque estos ya estaban programados para Naomi de antemano.
Por lo que leí hace un tiempo, Naomi se hizo después del Dreancast. cuando se lanzó Dreancast, se basó en la arquitectura del Modelo 3. Y en este punto resultó ser más poderoso que el modelo 3: ¡Actualización del Paso 2! Es por eso que Nanco hizo Soul Calibur desde el principio, ya que se dieron cuenta de que sería mucho mejor dedicado a la consola que basado en el Modelo 3.

The Naomi and Dreamcast may be essentially the same, but Naomi is twice as powerful. That being said, both versions look identical at first glance 😅
I think SEGA Model 3 vs. Naomi/Dreamcast would have made a more interesting comparison, but that was probably done on this channel already lol

Gostei trabalho port Vt2 model 3 para Naomi , nota gráficos melhoria filtros anti aliasing, maior resolução, mas perdeu fluidez movimento câmaras, renderização polígonos..

The easiest way to score a goal is to run on the side along the line, make a couple of passes to your wingers, get near the corner area, make a long pass to your center-striker and make a header. You'll gonna score pretty often
1 to 1, it was impressive whatthe DC did on its time…
Arcade looks crispier, but I think is because dreamcast has more anti aliasing, that's why more blurry. Overall looks the same.

Virtua striker 1 sell on Ps3 Japan psn store. Why virtua striker 2,3,4 ported on on ps4. I play virtua striker 1 on PS3, virtua striker 2 on dreamcast, virtua striker 3 on gamecube. Virtua striker 4 on Wii with triforce. A bundle needed on ps4???

Pro Evolution Soccer, the Playstation version was far superior in gameplay. But yes the N64 version ISS pro was similar in gameplay to virtua striker. FIFA was still primitive at this time.
Honestly unless we are talking about kiddos who were clueless about the whole arcade era, i cant see for the life of me how someone could not meet their expectations with the dreamcast and its games. Even the look of the games had this amazing arcade feeling you would get from cabinets. I can see how someone would be dissapointed if they arent a fan of good looking games with an arcade feeling but still, i think graphically the games looked great and in some cases better than the ps2.

Você praticamente nem controla os jogadores...
Esse jogo é horrível no Dreamcast na jogabilidade. A jogabilidade é tão ruim que as vezes você fica andando em circulo ao redor da bola e como os controles são ruins não é possível alcançá-la. O Dreamcast não teve um jogo de futebol que prestasse, o menos pior é UEFA Euro Dream.
