You’ve got to admire a girl who has beautiful nails and isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty.
At 54 I call any one younger than me a kid. Lol.
I can not say enough great things about these 2 kids. Phenomenal human beings. Kudos to their parents for a job well done.
Love this channel.
This is every man's dream lawn mower fantasy to have this big of a lawn tractor lol that's more fun than cutting the grass any day and way quicker
Using my husband's Carhart jacket as a sled ... priceless!
Grant, I there are not enough words to say how Blessed you are to be with a Woman like Laura....
I couldn't agree more with this statement
She is a 10 in my book
Truer words were never spoken
She's blessed to have Grant also
I love watching you farm videos, I was raised on a Ranch in Southeastern New Mexico and we also farmed alfalfa and sorghum and cotton. But that was in the 50s and 60s and early 70s, open cap Case 930 tractors and but in 1965 Massey Ferguson came out with a turbocharged six cylinder diesel 1130. When dealer delivered the tractor the service man who’s the operator and everybody pointed at me, HIM!? 😮 I wasn’t even eleven years old yet I could barely reaching the paddles. That big thing was intimidating sort of speak, “BUT” It had its adventures and advantages no one my age in school would be driving one of these tractors pulling an eight row planter planting cotton, and talk about it. Because we had the first 1130 in our area for two seasons.. I thing Laura, PLEASE USE RUBBER GLOVES AND SAFTY GLASSES WHEN CHANGING MOTOR OIL, FILTERS AND AIR FILTERS 🙏 Mikey
Just discovered your channel. My ancestors were farmers before Katherine the Great. Volga Deutsch immigrated to Nebraska briefly before settling in Washington State 1890s. I grew up on the farm with my first memories from the 1960s. I’m 67 now. With no TV we played in the kitchen listening to our parents and their neighbors talk about politics and farming. Technology and modern science have greatly benefited farming. History confirms nothing will alleviate the stress and enormous gamble of farming. I left the farm life after college, not without regret. Your channel serves a much greater purpose. Thank you! Pardon me, I'm binging now.
Great video. Love watching Laura and Grant deal with one of the greatest professions: being American farmers. What a great thing to watch.🇺🇸🇺🇸👍
The work on these farms looks simple until we get to it. Really impressed with what Laura has accomplished at her farm.
Good to see Mr Scotty!! I enjoyed the visit..Thanks!
🚜👍🐺🧙♂️🦊👍🚜
I am totally impressed, most women your age wouldn’t know where to find the tractor let alone cultivate a new lawn then service the tractor. 👍👍🌹🌹
I would plant it full of wildflowers. The bees and the birds would love you. That's the best thing you can do to a mulberry tree.
Laura is a true treasure! To see here go after the equipment maintenance as she does is truly incredible! May the Good Lord allow you and Grant to work that land for as long as you are able and provide stability and safety for you and your family! Keep ip the good work, we are rooting for you!!! 🙏🙏❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸
Your husband is such a lucky guy! You’re an incredible woman and I think if I found one half as kind, genuine, and beautiful as you I’d be a lucky guy.
This is part of your passion bringing farmers and friends together to develop the information and tool's required to run profitable businesses thank you Laura farms and Scotty.
Scotty "I'm a mouser. You welcome Mommy".
Wow, that's quite a collection. I'm surprised that's all you found after all those years. Must have kept the farm clean.👍
Now that the soil is loosened up,
A ruckus rake can fine tune it from there I think?
God bless. Have fun.
Thank you Brad👍👍👍
Laura, me thinks with that much lawn you should plant part of it in corn. Pretty and covers the cost of the rest. Less mowing too. Fun watching you, Grant and Scottie.
Way to go Scotty. That is one great cat.
Respectfully, I like Laura's look with her hair pulled back, softens her face.
Granted, I’m a city boy, but I’ve lived in 18 homes in 11 cities so far (not counting 6 Navy years), and to hear you say you and Grant will live on your farm for the rest of your lives is an amazing commitment! I’m impressed with both of you. Keep it up.
well its good publicity for the channel, who knows what she or her partner will be doing in decades to come.
You really look familiar to me, do we know each other?
@@chrisbrown-jw4ce you really look familiar to me, do we know each other?
@@riderjessica4980 I doubt it I do not have a picture on my profile so I dont know how you know what I look like.
Always a good feeling that presents serious work and happiness in the development of work and an environment full of love. These people are always protesting. Souad is between a couple
From Abdrrahim to Grant and Laura.
That tractor is a beast. Got to admit in all my years of farming I never disced my lawn. You did a good job.
One beautiful farming lady, and woman who gets it done
Here’s wishing you a good planting season and a even better harvest.....
These folks are great to watch and follow ...I always appreciate tagging along! Thanks so much!
One of the hardest working young ladies Have seen in a while ......Great Work !
Enjoy you taking us on your daily operations and watching you and Grant build your dreams.
My lawn is not that big 😅 You need the big rigs and accessories for your lawn. I remember when your Mom was starting in on her lawn….and look how gorgeous it is now! Bet yours will be awesome also! Good job, Sweetie Pie ❤
Cole the Cornstar did about the dame to his lawn........He chose "Kentucky Blue Grass" to sow...Looks pretty good too.......
Getting the right tool for the job makes it all go easier. The tractor now will pay back all Laura's work in spades. It's a toss up who has the biggest smile as they go out into the fields.
I always love Laura's determination and strength.
Yea, I can't believe I found myself watching her trying to loosen the pan plug and gritting my teeth trying to help her, geeeze
@@piepawrench Yeah I was worried about the wrench slipping and her hands getting hurt...as a retired mechanic I know a few things about that.
I'm afraid that's way more yard than I would ever mow! I would seed it to hay an mow it that way!
Hello Beautiful Laura ❤
I love your video, best regards
Grant you better take care of this girl as she's definitely a hard worker and a keeper
Laura I loved your determination to get the yard done. The most determined was picking up the huge piece of concrete!!! Wish you & Grant the best an all of the family!🚜🚜🚜
Good job Laura and kudos to Scotty as well.
Hi Laura. If you know someone that has or there is a place in town where you can rent a Ruckus Rake, that will make the land you tilled for your lawn look so good before sowing seed or laying sod. I do not think you will regret it at all. Have good days!
I agree.. I bet someone has one that rents out attachments for your skid steer. Just do a RUclips search for Ruckus Rake and you will see why you need one.
Laura, we are complete oppsites, so I have no idea why I'm watching your videos. You are young, I'm older. You are female, I'm male. You live in the USA, I'm European. You are a country girl, I am a city boy. I have zero knowledge of farming, and would normally have zero interest in it too. But somehow, some algorithm threw your videos up and I've watched a lot of them. Seeing a girl 'buck the trend' as it were and get into what seems like the outside a 'man's world' is awe inspiring ! Doing all that with such confidence, AND studying at the same time is amazing ! YOU are amazing ! @Grant: If Laura isn't a keeper then I don't know who is. She is awesome ! You're a lucky guy ! Keep up the good videos !
Laura you are blessed with the John deer jean.Your dad is called John and your mums a dear.keep up the great work.
Not only farmer also mechanic 👍👌.
I Love you video's Laura.
Greetings from Holland 🇳🇱
Laura, I like how you get on and do things, you decided you were going to do your lawn and went on and did it. That was a lot of oil for the tractor. What a man, Grant is, supervising his wife.
Love from Mike. ❤
A man that tries to supervise his wife is destined for a short and unpleasant marriage ! lol.
@@davidkettell5726 I think he meant it in that way, that Grant is very supportive and helps where he can, but also keeps back to let Laura do stuff she hasnt done very often on her own.
It was a light-hearted remark, not to be taken seriously. 🙂
We all know Scotty is the real supervisor anyway
@@dieks77 True, and it gets cuddles.
Actually, the disc is also a harrow, a disc harrow, and the back is a spring toothed harrow, unlike the spike toothed harrows usually called rippers.
Might I suggest planting clover and vetch as well as grass? They fix nitrogen and attract a lot of bees. So maybe not next to the house, but we have it and it works well.
The only faming channel I watch just because Laura is so cute, and you got to love a real farm girl. Keep getting it done girl!!!!
Keep working it Laura ,the better the chunks are broke up the better your seed bed will be for grass seed .Smiles 😃 from Canada 🇨🇦
Scotty really looks like lovely senior cat.
Thank you guys for allowing him to have good quality life on your farm!
There’s no kill like over kill. If I had a tractor like that I would use it on my lawn too. Less passes faster time. Awesome work
That smile just makes life better and greener!
Hey, air filters, quality grease and oils are THE BEST INVESTMENT YOU WILL MAKE FOR YOUR EQUIPMENT; YOU ALWAYS HAVE TIME FOR MAINTENANCE.
Great stuff y'all...
Were those Mulberry trees producing fruit??!! Mulberry are delicious! Too bad you couldn't have dug 'em with a big ball of soil around them and transplanted :-)
7/30/23 - Laura , Yard looks Great! Lot of grass to plant!
It’s always awesome to see Laura out there getting it done
You two make such a great team. It's such a joy to watch your videos and see your latest project. Oh, Laura, you are truly beautiful without the add on eyelashes. Letting your natural beauty come through is a big plus. Can't wait for your next project...planting, I would guess.
NY Farm Girls kind of a day, growing rocks!
Oh! There is a power house of a man. Alberta Strong! (But a distant cousin). Cheers you two.
Landscaping is a big job, flowers, trees, raised herb beds, & flowers, fruit trees.
The eyes and the smile is the prettiest
Tis the season, hope ya'll had a happy Easter around ppl you could tolerate.
I love Laura's explanations on everything.....the detail! Thanks Laura! Love the Channel!❤
Would you like to visit her farm once?
Looking forward to watching you and Grant transform your homestead into paradise. It's nice having a clean slate to work with. Designing your layout is going to be fun for you.
Nice to see them giving Scotty the cat a good life in his later years.
Now is a great time to make the perfect farmer yard. Cement it all. Paint it green then you have the perfect yard. Or cover the whole thing with fake Grass.
The Perfectly Natural Farmer Yard 😊😊😊
Wow! In that thumb nail for this vlog, you look more and more like your mum 😊
All the way from New Zealand - you've made my day complete! Laura you're a phenomenally competent human!
Hello Scottycat!!! I had 2 Mulberry trees on my 11 acre farmette that I lived on. Yes, they are very messy trees (broken limbs and birds eating the mulberries and crapping all over the place). One came crashing down in the middle of the night, with no apparent wind. It was pretty much rotten on the inside. I decided to cut the other tree down. Good decision. Both trees were about 4 feet in diameter. Both were rotten with about 3-4 inches left on the outside diameter. I love how Grant is eagerly cheering on Laura while she is shaking and turning red, trying to loosen the drain plug. Have a wonderful Resurrection Day!!!
Love to see you working on equipment and getting your hands dirty
without you Laura.... My Family goes hungry . WE Appreciate You
Farm more Please.
Farmers the backbone of America
If only older and more experienced farmers would youtube we could learn so much more.
Now that's te way to get rid of trees.
A yard that big should almost be planted with corn!😁
I was expecting you to build a nice big pond with that excavator!! 🐠
Glad to see your back in the tractor love watching all your videos you all rock where is your little boy Scottie he ant up to riding with you in the tractor
So glad to see ya back doing your thing...FARMGIRL
That is quite a yard. We are all farmers as you say. Had some squirrel corn get away last year and grew a 7-8 foot corn stalk. It was very cool, and reminded me of your videos every time I looked at it.
Laura great job. Grant makes a great supervisor. Your lawn will look fabulous when it is done
You two are such great sports about working around the farm. Laura, you and your colored nails keep proving that you are a true farm girl, ready to do what needs to be done even if it's bigger than you. I love watching your confidence grow. Yea Scott, you rock it cat!
how are you Laura you won't believe how i made my lawn i just a few holes with the flood and asked my neighbor for some grass seedlings and transplants we holes i never imagined that It would become such a beautiful lawn. I had no money to invest in a good lawn.
That’s a big ARS yard !
I just started watching your channel about a week ago and I have a whole new appreciation for farmers and what they do. Farmers have to be the hardest working people that I have seen this far. Keep up the great work you guys and I'll be looking forward to the next video.
Great neighbor for taking out thoes trees .
Hi Scottie Cat! so much fun to watch and see what you guys do. Amazing what junk came out of that lawn cant wait to see what is like a few years down the road it will take time.
Laura…you have to be the sexiest farmer in the country. Great job!
Maybe plant Clover for the rabbits and deer...also could start bee keeping and harvesting honey... 😎👍
Any chance you know the history of the homestead? Like previous buildings, maybe some old photos? Love Grant's grunts to help with the bolt. 🤣🤣🤣
Nothing like yard/home projects you will be so happy when done renovating the lawn
Laura, The way you handle things with your small frame is amazing. You must be one solid muscle. You go, lady.
Awesome project!.....I loved your intro! "We are gonna live the rest of our lives here!"
I'm just an old fashioned "old man" looking for my 50th wedding anniversary (half way there) but I loved that intro.
ATTITUDE, It is literally how you get there!
I hope I get to see You and Grant celebrate 25 years or more if the Lord gives me the extra years to see it! Stay true to each other till your glass runs out of sand.
P.S. And Grant is not going to mind you plowing up the yard at all! I bet money on it! :)
I hope you keep the plan t plant some trees out there. Our house is also located in the middle of some fields. The best thing my dad did was to plant about 200 trees around it as they moved in 50 years ago. Its a blessing I tell you. That freacking wind is gone for good. If you enter our property on a stromy day, its like visiting an oasis of calm and cosiness. Best thing ever. We planted a lot more since then and its also a paradiese for birds. All the best for you two.
Great idea! smart...
Rent a soil conditioner for that Bobcat and you'll have an amazing yard!
That's a big lawn tractor!!! At work the other day I helped get a wheel horse lawn tractor with a 3 foot mower underneath it. 😀😀
Laura, you don’t know I can’t. Love it.
Started watching watching your channel a few weeks ago because of watching a few other farming channels. Have family who farms in other states and in the state I live, Also a grandparent who farmed on moms side way before passing. Been wanting to start my own because of it and learning as much as possible from them and from others like both of you through videos. Keep up the wonderful work on the videos and the farm work.
😂Were just pretending farming. You're the real deal!!!😁
Laura you should commission some Laura Farms Cover alls, most of the work you do need strong protective clothing, love how Grant is like "lets see that Woman Power" only to intervene when he has to.
Good video thanks for letting us tag along in you day
Welcome back, you have been missed.
I don't think I could be anymore impressed with a woman. Wow, Laura.
Laura I Just Love It When You Post A Vido! And Can't Hardly Wait Until I Get Some Time To View It !! Thank You! For letting Us All Share Your Day!!
Keep Smiling On!!
😀👍👊❤
Great video. Your natural hair color is beautiful.
one tuff girl!!!if it didn't work get a cheater bar!!I like your determination!!i am new to watching your channel! and I like what I see!
I can’t believe it, “while Grant is running errands” she used HIS good car hart coat to drag big pieces of concrete out of the yard! What a hoot.!!!
Hi guys your channel is fantastic. Laura if you find yourself struggling with a overtight or stuck nut do not keep pushing you will only injure your shoulder or back. Grab a length of 2-inch steel pipe and use it over your wrench. It is a quick and easy lever that will work in your favour. G'day from Australia.
MY grandfather had a farm in Iowa when I was young, I would stay with him in the summer also I grew up on a farm LOL imagine that Also I worked as a landscaper in high school .... You need to break up the dirt clods to as fine as you can. Then plant the seed I hope you use Bermuda grass . After you are done put a top layer of dirt mixed with cow manure (HHHHHhhhmmmm Where can you find that LOL) then just water everyday till it grows. Have fun cutting such a big yard! Have you thought of a garden? We had a one acre one.
