Both nice trucks ! I have the MD7 hook truck. Mack's been around longer the the Pete's , by probably 20-30years . My great grandfather was huge with MACK. G&R Myers Motor transportation - all B models . He had one of the first dial wheel MACKS made .
The 2 brands I will consider for my future trash removal company. Both offer all the types of trucks I would need for the waste industry. It's all about which brand ambassador would give me the best deals and best service.
I hope you can find time to do more compare/ contrast of similar trucks like the Ford vs Chevy 550/650 vs 5500/6500. Thank you. I love the videos. FYI - It would be really nice if your website had a sort feature of GVWR 26k and under.
My Uncle John was a long hauler before he passed away. He loved his Kenworth but hated the Mack's but he did say Macks were the best trucks to handle the rough terrain.
Originally wanted a Mack, but after test driving it the seat sat to straight up and and wasn’t comfortable. So I went with the Kenworth. I’m sure Mack Peterbilt Kenworth are all really good trucks
I drive a 2021 Peterbilt rolloff with a cummins 350hp with the Galfab boom however the truck is nothing but problems constantly going into derate tons of down time under powered The truck rides smoother than the 2023 Mack we have in service and same set up. The Mack is a hard bouncier ride steering ratio not as good as the Pete. my opinion
Currently driving a peterbilt 537 have 3 coworkers that have MD macks all set up as service trucks. Macks mirror placement what little I've driven one is horrible and causes massive blind spots compared to peterbilt Mack doesn't offer a larger than 6.7 cummins unless something has changed. The px9 runs out very nice and returns the same if not better fuel economy in a longer and 10-12k heavier truck and much lower rpm when proper axle ratio is ordered. Mack has a mack specific fuel filter that mack dealer doesn't have in stock most of the time. Napa has had every filter I've needed so far. Mack cab is built for a 5'6" driver, and the interior feels like they got their hands on the leftover plastic from the mid 90's dodge ram factory. 1 dash is already cracked. Peterbilt cab has room and fit and finish is very nice. As stated in Video dealer support is where it's at for the most part. But if you're a company owner that hates your drivers, buy the Mack md and keep gripping on why you can't get quality employees
I believe when Volvo bought Mac that was the end of the Mack brand. It’s the same when AutoCar was purchased back in the early 80s. Everything went downhill for AutoCar. Mac always made great trucks in the past but now we lean more towards Kenworth and standardizing our construction fleet to KW.
Drove 1 while my truck was down, nothing impressed me about the Mack. 2 much plastic & no power, that's my simple breakdown. Bed is really small & that's not a good thing. I'm 6'4 240 pounds, not comfortable

Great breakdown, Marlin. Thanks!

They are both really sharp trucks but I prefer the looks of the Peterbilt.

That is one heck of a polish mohawk! Props dude!

When I sat in the Mac, I could not see over the hood too good and where I work there is a lot of foot traffic in front of me
MACH/Caterpillar. As you said. Work horse.
The U model had the offset cab.

Hey, Keith your Kenworth T280 is just like the Pete 536. Yes the KW and Pete do ride better and sit nicer.
i’ve been in the passenger side of the mack one and it sucks you seat really high and up right and forward

Mack sold the Midliners way back in the Renault days.

We appreciate your view on these trucks. You are spot on with those differences you pointed out.

What's the difference in weight between the two?@marlinfox1336
@@cjb8085 The Peterbilt weighs about 700 lbs more.
Cummins Engine are the same I’m a peterbilt tech and is just painted grey for the peterbilt
Thank you! That is always what we all thought to.
