I've been a truck driver for 28 years, I could only put up with it for 1 week. 6 Days.

"Smurfette" here. I'm a veteran trucker, almost 30 years. I just started subscribing and sometimes talking in the comment section. I can get a little long winded. I found out however, that some drivers today really don't want to have someone like me to give certain opinions even though I honestly meant well. So, I'll keep my comments as less as possible out of kindness & respect. If I'm asked, I'll be more than happy to answer any questions regarding trucking. I do wish that technology was as advanced as it is now. Some things I don't like about advanced tech, because in some cases, toward the end of my career, I felt micro-managed. But, with Prime, their trucks are more comfortable and from what I see, it truly helps drivers who have upgraded to solo. Prime's trucks are governed to a speed that a driver can make their appointments without it being so stressful. This is my very first comment on you all vlog. There's so many Prime drivers on YT. I honestly believe that you two can make a very decent income at Prime, Inc. As far as cameras: My best friend who is a colleague at a company we used to work at together is now at a company that has cameras. She said that cameras saved her! To end: Happy belated 28 years old! May 20th! Out of kindness however just take your health & fitness seriously. Both of you seem to have such a high metabolism and you both are still so young, but your health is so very important! Congratulations on your new Peterbilt! Congratulations on your trucking journey! I honestly believe that you both are going to do so well, Mr. & Mrs! May Isaiah 43:19 always be a beacon of light over you both, your truck and your new business. A trucking career is something that I enjoyed! The best part was traveling. I also did Canada. Have fun, make a good living and above all, be safe.❤🙏🏿

Just subbed, I have seen a lot of drivers and trucks since the late 90's and you can always tell a professional driver from a road gypsy by how they maintain the interior of the truck and the amount of work and pride they put into the truck. I wish you guys the best and its drivers like yourselves that should start small trucking companies and become an asset to the trucking industry.

@@keithrowell2951 What I mean also is clean as in well organized and well kept. Equipment stowed in good places. I can tell you horror stories of what I have seen in many truckers cabs. A clean cab is more than likely a professional driver. Not a road gypsy that holds a steering wheel all day.

Best part about couples that worked together is having time with each other seeing the many different sights IV driven about 1.2 miles while a trucker otr but last 8 years before retirement. Local but the otr time was so much fun and freedom never been so good .plus more money. Just remember new pete means cost sometime hurts......be very careful with your money deduct everything...for irs.

I understand this is a brand new truck to you one thing you could do if you’re not gonna use the top bunk to sleep in you could use it for storage you go to yourLowes store and buy plastic totes. Put your plastic totes up there and put your Dishes and all that stuff so your truck don’t look like it’s crammed up
My brother you spend the money in the King of the Road God bless you keep it up my brother I used to be a truck driver myself and always say when I got behind the wheel I said God you always my protection and I never got into an accident or ticket now that's a blessing for me

Watching y'all make me miss the road even more.....my husband and I was a team and I gave it up to take care of his dad when he got cancer.....then he passed and I still couldn't go back out cause well we have animals that can't go on the road with us......

Nice! Yeah we love the larger bed too! I love the top cubby holes...I use one as my book shelf and the other one for our toiletries. Also, the front curtains have a magnetic strip for closure too. My hubby trained on a Freightliner and he used to ask his trainer what was wrong with the steering wheel because he had to always make micro-adjustments as he drove, so he appreciated the sturdy steering wheel too. Oh...that side door is clutch!

My only advice is to stop by the dealer once a year to update the dash firmware/software. It’s quite buggy at times.

Again let me say congratulations to you guys on the new truck.. I’m glad to see you two putting out content again. My last truck when I was OTR was 579, and the one thing I can say like about yours is the top bunk. On the earlier models the top bunk was a little lower , so it made it difficult for someone like me 6’3” to sit straight up on the bottom bunk. (Unless I folded the top) Anyways good luck and Happy Birthday 🎊🎂🎁 to your wife
