    Just a quick heads up.
    Flydigi had a manufacturing issue when it came to their joysticks. A percentage of people who bought the controller were dealing with their sticks snapping mid-game.
    Flydigi owned the issue though. They identified it as an issue with one of their machines and replaced the machine entirely which produced the part. Just be aware that if you buy the Apex 4 and something breaks, you're covered for it. You just have to reach out to them.

      I'm glad this is pinned, as someone in the comments section still seems to be criticising the controller for this issue, even though the manufacturer has already fixed the problem.

    I believe the Vader line in general does not have a screen. The Vader 4 does not seem to have one. While I love the Apex 4 my eyes are old, and the screen is too small. If only they could Manba size that screen, I might declare Apex 4 hall of fame. (I love the Steam Controller and wish that Valve would get on that and get the next one out). What kills the Manba for me is the cutouts on the buttons. I chewed my thumb up in games that require button mashing. Such a letdown. I hope they fix that for a Manba 2.

    I think the Vader 4 Pro may be the best controller atm, since it's cheaper than the Apex 4 and has some newer features and upgrades over previous models.

    Membrane buttons aren't a drawback if you're buying a controller for a long run or intense gameplay like fighting games or simply prefer OG membrane buttons. Chance that membrane button will be completely broken is close to 0% for years, at this moment you'll have another controller, or you can got a spare rubber pad for like a couple of bucks and fix it in 5 minutes with nothing but screwdriver. Mechanical buttons on the other hand are unpredictable, and once it's done, it's done - it's either nothing or double-click, both a game breaking failures, and you can't fix it without advanced soldering skills and ordering the same unit.

    • @StardustLegacyFighter
      @StardustLegacyFighter Месяц назад +1

      I've never had issues with mechanical buttons, and I'm talking about keyboards and mice as well that I've owned for several years and have used daily.
      Of course, if you're going to be reckless with your controller, then you'll probably end up breaking multiple parts, but otherwise, everything will be fine and last a long time.

      @@D1S0- I haven't seen anyone complain about that with these specific controllers, so I'm not sure which controllers you've used where you've experienced these issues.
      Besides, for all of my emulation games I've already mapped the face buttons to the back buttons, so they'll be getting used a lot less.
      Was it a Razer controller by any chance?

    • @D1S0-
      @D1S0- 25 дней назад

      @@StardustLegacyFighter I am a competitive fps claw grip player [I use the face buttons extensively]. You say that you almost exclusively use the back buttons so I’m sure you understand that you haven’t given these face buttons sufficient stress testing to be able to give out proper accurate information in terms of reliability.
      I have used Razer controllers, Gamesir controllers, Flydigi controllers. I’ve used multiple from each of these brands and all have ended up double clicking at some point. I also mod and take apart controllers, so I’ve done research on how they’ve implemented these buttons and what components they’ve used.

    I've recently been watching your videos and I love them! I'm here with a question about controllers for PC - I'm on budget right now and I've stopped on two: "Hori Horipad Pro" and "8BitDo Ultimate Wired, Hall Effect Edition" and I don't know wich one would be a better choice.
    There aren't many controllers on sites from my country and Amazon is not a choice for me sadly
    I hope you would take time to help me out, ty

      As for the choice between 8bitdo and Hori, I'd go with 8bitdo. I've covered a number of both of their controllers and Hori always seems to be missing features. 8bitdo, especially with hall effect, is hard to beat. They really are the some of the the best controllers on the market.

    Do you guys know if you can make the whole controller go dark while you're using the Apex 4 (or their other controllers like the Vader 3, maybe)?
    (I play games in the dark a lot, and even the Xbox Series S/X "core controller" middle button light drives me nuts, where I have to put dark tape over it, so RGB and screens in controllers always worry me)

      Both Vader 3 Pro and Apex 4 have a serious issues with sticks and pretty crappy batteries, but if you're lucky and prefer Xbox style controller, then yeah, Flydigi controllers are probably the best choice at this point. @@kongich7871 Vader 3 Pro hall effect sticks are very accurate and soft, but also has a very weak springs, it's already has 5% deadzone out of the box to prevent stick drift and recentering issues, but it gets worse, I had to return two controllers in like 3-4 months because it gets even worse and only 8-10% deadzone was enough to stop wobble and stick drift, which is unacceptable.
      Apex 4 controllers has an issue with it's new sticks transparent plastic support part, it can literrally crack and snap a few weeks after unboxing, it's still unclear how often and why it can happen, how many controllers has this issue, but the number of mentions in reviews or on reddit are suspiciously high and this is not a good for a controllers that was launched just a few months ago.
