I just got mine and it's really excellent. The one feature that I would like for a truly end-game controller would be a way to have octagonal gates. That said, my main use case is platform fighters. I assume octagonal gates aren't a common ask, because nobody makes controllers with them
I was hoping to see how it was to press the buttons at the back as I like to hit the back buttons rather than face so I can keep my thumbs on the stick. This was a great review, but wish that part was covered!
I got mine today and I can say the back buttons are great! I’ve had all the pro controllers and this controller takes the cake by far. Especially for the price point
For me, i have larger hands and they are pretty easy to hit. The buttons are small tho. But its fine. I was used to the ones on the g7 se which are like 4x the size or maybe 6x. But these are fine. Left 1 and right 1 i press towards me, and left 2 and right 2 i just push a little up. Though i doubt id easily press 2 on the same side at once so easily. But thats not an issue for me either
My only complaint on the V4P is the inconsistent stick tension. At max setting my left analogue stick is much tighter than my right stick. I would've liked the tighter tension on my right stick for aiming.
Dude might be right, your left thumb might be stronger as well. Max tension is kinda wild tho aint it? It feels weird when the stick glides back over the center with a high tension
So it looks like the whole stock of the special edition pirate controllers were given out to RUclipsrs :) How does it compare against the Gamesir Tarantula Pro?
from now on they could always improve "base stats" such as weight, quality, battery life, or even price! they could always add more colors or form factors even. I actually prefer the dualsense's shape over the xbox's but we all know that sony tends to bring down the hammer on those things
can you use the aftermarket replaceable thumbsticks? i see these say comaptible with apex 4 and vader 3 but for some reason didnt say vader 4. i like taller one on right stick.
@@RetroBreezeYT That's great! I think I'm gonna pick it up soon, because it looks pretty solid compared to Xbox Elite or DualSense Edge which are 3-4 times the price of Vader 4 Pro. It's a shame that a regular DualSense controller doesn't have back buttons. I remember playing The Witcher 3 on a controller. On a keyboard you could access various menus/screens directly with a single hotkey, but on a controller you had to go through an extra menu. So if I could eg. map the 'm' button to one of the extra buttons on the controller to open a map directly without going through an extra menu, that would be sick :D Especially since there are 6 extra buttons on Vader 4 Pro. Mapping Quick Save / Quick load would also be great. Noice.

i’ve gotten 2 vader 4 pros now and both came with a left trigger stop that had some play before the click. like a little bit of travel, then click. only on the left triggers. is this just a quality control issue? before i order a third i want to confirm someone has one with equal trigger stops lol

Flydigi made a quality, feature-rich controller but they made a serious mistake having debounce and rebounce enabled already. I hated this controller for a week after using it seeing so many youtubers shill the F out of it. Then i just kept messing with settings, of which there are far too many tbh, and when i turned of debounce AND rebounce....i finally felt like i could aim in fps games again. For a whole week, i hated it. But its just some stupid gimmick settings flydigi thought they knew what they were doing 😂
Historically FlyDigi limited editions have been very limited. At least overseas because usually their license for whatever properties are valid in China only.
@@RetroBreezeYT you mean if game supports it not me activating it because on the regular dongle mode or wired you activate gyro by mapping it to back button to turn it on. Unlike switch mode I don’t think it’s possible which is a big downside
ALMOST purchased this until I saw detailed latency testing. Apparently the button/sticks and overall latency is higher than advertised. My DualSesne Edge is still faster so no way I get this but was tempted. For me I take speed over any features/design for competitive FPS gaming.
Rubber decays over time and gets very sticky and gross, so any controller with rubber will not last the test of time. You can by rubber adhesive kits for this controller on AliExpress though!
Hey should i get these or gamesir g7 he/se? Gamesir is £20 cheaper and i only play fps games. I just need 2 back buttons and comfortably is important for me, not to forget polling rate

Absolutely! Using a wire, Bluetooth or dongle!
