XInput makes it impossible to have real Gyro. Any controller promising that is mapping the Gyro to a stick, making it 4-axis, not 6-axis. Switch/DInput (DualSense) makes it possible, but analog triggers are absent in switch mode, and DInput is absent on many modern controllers. Some DInput-mode controllers may expose their back buttons as separate buttons in DInput mode. Therefore, if your game supports DInput controllers and you want BOTH gyro and analog triggers, use DInput. Just keep in mind that you may not get the advertised max polling rate when using DInput (the Apex 4 supports it for example), for example, the V4P, the max polling rate is 125Hz without an overclock on PC with a 13.08ms min input lag for buttons when in SWITCH mode.
