Very nice and interesting project. Make sure you have a tether cord and cut off switch installed so when it throws you out of the boat it'll shut down!! LOL!! Looking forward to the next video.

Just started my boat build yesterday! Same kit as yours but I’ve got the four seat option. Great video and good luck with the build!
Hopefully I'll be able to start on mine again soon. Sometimes life takes you a different direction than what you want to go.

Yeah I was a little intimidated at first but practiced a bunch before actually starting on the kit.

What kind an size of welding machine do u have?

Not questioning since idk much about welding aluminum but I did weld doing a very similar process for about a year making sounds dampening rooms and such. My question is do you have to push your welds? With how thin the material was I was working with usually pushing the weld required either moving really quick and getting a crappy weld or drawing the weld towards you allowing for a larger tac/weld
Yes you are suppose to push the weld with aluminum.
Are all aluminum parts the same thickness? 3/16" or are there any smaller ones?
Smallest is 1/8th inch, thickest is 1/4"

It has taken me a year to get this far. Of course I can't work on it 8 hours a day either. The best aluminum welder I have used is the Yeswelder YWM-211P with spool gun. yeswelder.com/collections/welder-cutter/products/yeswelder-ywm-211p-double-pulse-aluminum-mig-welder?ref=makingstuff
Do you do this whole project with an aluminum spool gun? No tig welding?
So far it's just been Spool gun.

Boat name NOT STOPPING
I just bought my own kit from Jetstream which is the same as yours. I haven’t started building it yet but I am researching as much on RUclips as possible. Your first video is great but I was wondering if you could just do a little bit more details on the areas that you’ve run into problems or others could run into problems if they don’t know these little hidden secrets. I’ll keep watching and thanks for video and up coming ones.
Other than the bottom not being cut correctly and the width not being 51.5 inches, I haven't had any problems.

I love the big project that you're doing I love watching your channel and that I do have to ask.... you're doing this great big thing pushing yes welders and my curiosity runs really hard 10 months ago you did a video with the yes welder 250p and you're talking about MIG welding aluminum now here you got this great project putting together a jet stream boat which I love but you're using a Lincoln welder with a spool gun instead of using the yeswelder with the mig gun?????? and I asked a question back when you were pushing the welder about what it can and cannot do so why would you use a Lincoln over to yes welder? and I'm not here to troll you or anything just a quick just a question why the change of heart on the boat??? I'm a long time subscriber so I'm not going nowhere..
That's a good question. The hull of the boat is 1/4 inch. Both machines are rated at 3/16" which is close enough to get the job done. The Lincoln did a better job on the 1/4" so I started out using the Lincoln on the big stuff. I did use the Yeswlder on the brace that I made in the beginning of the video. There will also be some TIG welding in this project which will involve using a Yeswelder product. There are also other advantages the Yeswelder MIG has over the Lincoln which will be shown in future videos.

Started with the Lincoln, then switched to YesWelder when they released the YWM-211P. Had the YesWelder been available when I started the build, I would have used it for the whole thing.

I started out with a Lincoln 210MP, but switched over to the YesWelder YWM-211P. I wish I had the Yeswelder from the begining of the project. It works much better on Aluminum. ruclips.net/video/YyOiIbskFYs/видео.html

how much would it cost to ask a welder for a job for a 6feet boat?
Would probably be cheaper to just buy the hull already welded. The last I looked, Jetstream still offered fully welded hulls.
