Gosh, I kept patience and watched this video 7 times. I don't know sometimes my mind just doesn't absorb more french but I am so keen to to learn and speak fluently. My ultimate goal is to speak free-flowingly. I am slowly replacing all small thinking pattern in French! 🙂😇
Sometimes you just need to keep it for later ;)

Most French teachers have a complicated explanation so it seems so challenging but this one looks pretty simple and I’ve got the whole idea. Merci beaucoup!

Hello Dylane. I am going to complete the pronunciation course this week. Which course should I start next- conjugation course or grammer course?
I totally missed your comments yesterday! So Sorry!
If you have a little bit of knowledge of grammar, start the conjugation, otherwise starts the grammar :)
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane It’s totally ok. Don’t say sorry. I will start conjugation course first. I know little bit grammer. Thank you for always helping.
Merci,
De rien Monica :)
Hello Dylane,
I bought your book on verb conjugation as although I like Duolingo I feel the way it approaches teaching of verbs is not terribly effective. Then, I was delighted to learn you offer videos on You Tube. I plan to watch them all.
I want to keep track of which I have viewed, and which I have not. This is so I can be sure I am viewing all of them.
Do you have a list of them all that I could use to keep track?
Thanks for all you do.
Noël Margaret
Your comment makes me realize that I should have added a list of the video lessons in the book. I will add it as soon as possible. In the meantime, if you go to my website and click on Freebies, you can get a self-study guide with all the lessons in all my courses listed.
If you want me to send it to you, just send me an email :)
Bonjour,
J'aime votre façon d'enseigner et c'est pourquoi j'ai souscrit à votre chaîne. Puissiez-vous le livre que vous utilisez pour cette leçon? Et j'aimerais vous demander de l'aide. Pouvez-vous me recommander des livres pour apprendre ou enseigner le français parlé (spoken French)?
Le lien du livre est dans la description :) Pour le français parlé je te recommande d'acheter les livres plus avancés (C1-C2) end e regarder la télévision en français :)
Bonjour Dylane! Thanks for the helpful tips. I have a quick question on this. Why do you use “Ce sont” instead of “Ces sont” to imply these are? Shouldn’t this phrase agree in number?
Hi Glen. That's a very good question! CE stays singular because it's a pronoun and only exists as CE / C'. Ces is an adjectifs and therefore agrees in gender and numbers. I hope it helps :)
Hi Dylan, in the audio recording 8.5, you said "Il est beau. / C'est beau" and "Il est tard. / C'est tard", but I didn't see an explanation in the video or one in the book for using both, "il est" and "c'est" for these two conditions. Could you please explain?
C'est and il est can both be followed by an adjective or by an adverb :) Look at points about opinions and descriptions.
Very helpful vedios
Merci :D
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane can I download exercises of your book
Hi Dylane, I do not understand why " Il est fermier" but for a teacher, it is "c'est un professeur".
Oh I see where you are confused. Professions can be used with IL EST and C"EST. But with C'EST we always have to add an article before the profession, not with IL EST.
Il est fermier = C'est un fermier
Il est professeur = C'est un professeur
Does it make more sense?
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Merci, I now understand you can use either format with jobs. There was only one answer in the exercise for "he is a professeur" but on reading the notes more carefully I realised I could have used either formats and be right.
Thank you for explaining it is much hard but now easy 😅
You are welcome :)
Hello, if i said “ Il y a une cáthedrale, il est grand et très beau” is it correct ? and if i want to say i like this food “because it delicious” => “parce que c’est très délicieux” is it correct?
So in many cases "il est" and "c'est" is interchangeable?
Hey dylane, where can I buy your book and tape? I'm in Canada!
Please let me know!
On Amazon for the Paperback or the eBook, or on my website for the PDF :) The link for the audio is in the preface of the book :)
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Thank you, Dylane!

Another helpful and thorough video - bravo.
"Ennuyant" - my native French speaking wife tells me that the right word for annoying is "ennuyeux" as opposed to "ennuyant." I can remember using "ennuyant" when we first got married, and she would always correct me as indicated above.
Ennuyant does exist as the present participle of ennuyer, but even my Larousse dictionary phone app translates "annoying" as "ennuyeux, gênant, énervant, agaçant, fâcheux," but not "ennuyant."
I realize you are a native French speaker and a professional French teacher, so I'm just trying to clarify this point of vocabulary pour être sûr que j'utilise "les mots justes."
Merci d'avance
No I believe ennuyant works in this case. The difference is very slim between the 2 tho.
I have a question, If it works with il est beau, why can't I use il est tard to say he is late.
Good question Renee :) Il est tard doesn't work because we say Il est en retard :)
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Merci beaucoup de m'avoir répondu. Peut-être qu'un jour je comprendrai pourquoi et je suis sûr que je l'apprendrai de vous. I typed what I knew and the rest was picked up from google translate.
If some one says c'est froid instead of il fait froid, would that be totally wrong or would it be understood?
They aren't wrong but they are used in different context. If you get food and it's cold, you can say "c'est froid" - but for the weather, use only "il fait froid" :)
Ah I see thank you
Though il est is used for talking about a masculine noun like c'est . is elle est also used for talking about a feminine noun like c'est?
Not when followed by a noun - C'est une fleur :)
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane now i got it. Thanks madam dylane❤️
La mise en relief? Explain
hi mam, can you tell me when "a" and "est" is used in past sentence?? I am confused. for eg. (she left) ...I translated then " Elle est partie" why not " Elle a partie". please reply mam
Partir is used with Être. In the conjugation playlist, go watch the video called Passé composé with Être :)
🤩🤩🤩🤩
Hi Jasmin
Madame, in sentence
'Il est beau '
Is translated as It's beautiful/He is beautiful
But in English language, for males 'handsome' word is used
Is there a seperate word for handsome in French or we may just simply use 'beau' for both male and female?
Please help
No it's the same word :)
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Merci beaucoup madame 🌹🌹
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylaneisnt beau used for males and belle for females?
il est bon de te voir tous les jours
was it correct?
Correct :) It's more of an expression so no tasting in this one :)
Bonjour madam your pronunciation course is very help but it's difficult to remember all rules mam can u provide a single video on French pronunciation in chart form .
I think I am done with the pronunciation for now unfortunately :/ But I might have a chart on my website soon
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane merci mam
If I wanted to say something like "He is my father" do you have to use "C'est mon père" or are you allowed to say "Il est mon père"
C'est mon père
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane "Il est mon père" is also correct, you just conjugate "être père" : je suis ton père and tu es mon père are correct so il est mon père is also correct.
