- In this video, I unbox 3 different LED light bars from Aux Beam. I got the 22-inch version of the side shooter, 5D-PRO, and white and amber light bars. I share the specs of each light bar, perform a real-life wattage test, beam pattern test, and finally a brightness test. There are more types of light bars that AuxBeam makes but these are all the ones I could do for now. I will be making videos on installing these in my vehicles later on. Thanks for watching and I hope you found this video useful.

You do a better actual light test than anyone I've ever seen! Thank you so much.. I found your wattage test the most useful as I was nervous about the 420w claims of the white and amber haha
Thank you! no problem the trick is to lock exposure so there is a fair test. yeah for sure, people are saying that the wattage rating they provide is basically equivalent to regular filament type lighting, which makes sense now but I wish they were more clear in the specs, or had both
@4WheelKid yeah I completely agree! Because it seems that they switch that label method even within the same brand.. some models will be rated "compared to halogen" and some models in the same brand will be rated somewhat close to their claims haha
Wow nothing for Subaru, makes sense
Yeah more subaru specific stuff would be great
Man, you look, sound, and act JUST like another youtuber I watch that rides a TW200. In fact, i think he was building a van just like that! Small world, eh?
Haha small world indeed!
have a problem with the 42in, roof mounted, after driving to the foggy mountain 13c temp and when back home the temp is 24c, the next morning found water vapour inside the lens, any idea how to overcome this problem?
Thats the worst when that happens! Seems to be a problem with these cheaper light bars. Havnt had that issue with one of my aux beam bars that sits outside all day yet. Maybe the best thing to do is take it apart let it dry out and reseal it. But that would be a lot of work
The one with the amber is cool but I like the side shooter & the monster😁👍🏿
for sure, the side shooter is hard to beat for the price. haha good to know
This is way more entertaining than it should be. Well done, sir!
haha thanks!
wow that 5d pro definitely made us see what the dinosaurs seen when the astroid took them out!
Haha indeed! I still think its crazy how it lit that hill up so very far away
@@4WheelKid I was l9oking at that 40 to 52 in for the cut outs in the f150 bumper area. I'll have to measure bu I think I can fit two stacked on one another
As a matter of fact, I do look like I could use some LEDs lol
LOL, LEDs are great
I think the "wattage" rating that they advertise is still comparing to what incandescnet/halogen would have been rated. Like You still see LED bulbs for domestic use labelled as "60W" but it's actually drawing like 1W because it's an LED and not halogen.
Makes sense, wish they would give equivalent wattage and actual wattage rating. would be helpful. glad they pull so much less wattage though
just landed on this video and what can i say fantastic info with a chuckle great thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Look is so cool led light bars
Thanks
Aside from the great review you did. I enjoyed the dynamic of the video. NGL, first time in ages that I actually watch a video from start to finish🙌🏼
Glad you enjoyed it!
Econoline, BMW and 4runner too? I have all three of those. Next, you're going to say you have a Sur Ron too.
Haha nice, dont have one of those yet, but an ebike would be nice
Good to see the CRI/CCT seems to be improving with these cheaper products. Still prefer the color reproduction of the factory headlights, but that 5D and W/A have *some* browns/oranges/reds in it. Suggestion for testing is put up some colored panels (construction paper maybe?) and see which has preferable appearance. I find that most people need more reds/oranges than many LED chips offer.
Yeah the cheaper stuff seems to get better as time goes on. Good idea for an extra test
Awsome...1 question, what Camara u use .it's so clear
Thanks! Haha just a cannon M6 mark ii with a sigma 30mm f1.4 autofocus lens
I can not find the 22in side shooter anywhere ad I am dead set on it, does anyone know where I can buy one pls and thanks
Seems to be out of stock everywhere. Hopefully they will get more eventually
They're all nice, i cant decide 😅
haha yeah it's a hard choice!
In your opinion, which one would you recommend for mounting on a truck roll bar behind the cab? I was really interested on getting one.
you should be able to find some mounts that camp onto the roll bar, just will need to measure and see what size so you can mount a light bar
@@4WheelKid Yeah that sounds good! Thanks! And from your three light bars that you compared in the video, which one would you go with on that position?
Loved your video, you should do more led reviews. Subbed
Glad you enjoyed, I do them from time to time, cant wait to install 1 on my 4runner. Thanks for subscribing
My vote for the side shooter, too!
cool! that one is great, can't wait to get it on my 4runner
This was an excellent video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
It’s be great if y’all did a real world showcase of how they project in he dark and not cgi.
Not sure what your talking about
@@4WheelKid may bad I thought I was commenting on Nilights video but auto play made it not so. Your video was great.
@@Silverback_GMT410 ohhh gottcha haha no worries. I was like im not using cgi, im not that talented
@@4WheelKid yeah man I was looking for more info from them and ended here. Thanks for the comparison!
I just found out where Kentucky Ballistics T Rex is moon lighting...hahahaha....lighting, cuz they are testing lights....at night...when the moon is out...hahaha
Haha maybe, the T-rex seems to come and go a lot 🤣
Very talented, Dude! Congrats.
Thanks!
Wooow big big Rex right there
haha indeed 😂🦖
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
😀👍😂
good vid nice info
Thanks!
Well done, enjoyed this one.
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks
Side shooter all day
Solid choice for sure!
Scaryyy T Rex 🥲🙀
haha indeed, you don't want to litter when he is around!
my dumb ass would have jumped in that van so quick lol
Haha same
The amber is sweet
yeah pretty cool to have both in one. I think amber is really nice for snow
Thanks for the test, it's perfect! 👌
No problem!
Great review thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Auxbeam light quality is trash. You can see squares of light which ruins the light output with unusable hot spots. That means the reflectors are junk. I try to explain to people the cheap lightbars are cheap for a reason. When you compare these to Baja or Rigid, you see an apparent light quality difference.
seems good enough to me
@@4WheelKid you’ve probably never seen a Rigid or Baja. It’s ok, there has to be lightbars in every price range/budget. Clarity and light definition is important to me on farming equipment and my trucks for frequent offroad use checking on cattle. It’s different than running an ATV down a trail. 😎
@@4WheelKid btw I really liked your video! It’s the most entertaining of all the lightbar reviews and clearly you spent a lot of time on it.
