I have a buddy in the tire business, I basically got these tires for free to try out, which is why I had to go with them. Otherwise I was leaning toward Hankook. I've never run Lexani tires before, but I've seen some decent reviews. But yeah, $400 for a set this size is pretty crazy! I will give them a good test and see what we find out. They might be junk haha. 19s were perfect for me. I feel like with a 20" wheel you start to sacrifice traction due to a narrowing/extra stiff sidewall, but 18s look a little small. I'm digging it so far. Now for a drop!
So, this is the set I'm going for {TSW Bathurst & Toyo Proxes 4 Plus}. Preferably, I would like a flush fitment w/o them sticking out too much; x4 of 19x9 ET30?? x4 of 19x9.5 ET39?? Either a 255/40r19 all around or 255/40r19 and 275/35r19. Btw, my car is riding on stock suspension.
Sounds like a good plan. I think you’d be fine with fitment for any combination of wheel and tire spec you listed. Neither are super aggressive for offset. I’m 19x9.5 +35 running a 275 in the rear and lowered 1.5 inches with no issues.
The description is matte black, but they are actually more of a satin. I now have 5mm spacers just so the hub doesn’t push on the center cap, but no spacer required in rear.
How do you like the performance of the Lexani? I honestly have never heard of them before, but $100 is damn cheap if they perform. I went with the Mich Pilot Sport 4S and Niche Sector M197 rims. The Mich are far better than the stock Dunlops in handling, braking, acceleration and comfort. My new tire/wheel combo is also 8.8lbs lighter per wheel so the car feels much more lively. It a completely different feel. Highly recommend anyone who has a Q50/60 save up some cash and change your tires.
I’m actually about to upload a review of these tires, but I’ll give you a quick summary. I have been super surprised at how well they perform. I haven’t had them long enough to know about tread ware, but in terms of grip, handling and wet traction, they have been very good for the price! I will be hitting the mountains soon to really push them, but for spirited everyday driving, these are a great tire!
I got a 2015 q50 premium. Is it must to lower it when you install 19” wheels on premium q50? Or I can still run the 19” wheels on stock suspension? Will it cause any issues?

Hey man, thinking of going with some enkeis at 19x 8.5 +38 square set up 245/40R19s. Do you think it will fit? I dont mind buying spacers but as long as it's close to flush and doesn't touch the brakes I'm fine. I'm also a 2015 Q50 3.7 RWD
That will fit just fine. It’s not an aggressive spec. I’m 19x9.5 +35. 5mm spacer to clear brakes (May not need-just depends on wheel design) but with the spacer I’m almost perfectly flush with 255/40/19 front 275/35 rear.
CruisePunk if you want flush, I wouldn’t go with an 8” wheel and a 40+ offset. You’d need a big spacer which would require extended studs. Find a slightly wider wheel with a smaller offset. Avoid bigger spacers if you can.
what do you think about 18 inch wheels ? i’m planning to get 255’s in the front and 275’s in the back, 255/40/18 and 275/35/18 and i see more people with 19’s than 18’s so i’m not quite sure if 18x8 would be ok or 18x8.5 or possibly 18x9 and on stock suspension for right now possibly getting coilovers im case it helps with the tire setup somehow
I like 18s with a beefy setup. A 275 is pretty wide for a 9” wheel. I feel like a 35 sidewall is a little low profile for an 18 tho but it’s all about personal preference. You’ll also want to think about overall diameter to keep your speedo accurate.

Jayro if you had factory 17s then 275/35/19 is very close to factory diameter. A 275/35/18 will be smaller so your speedo would be off. Google tire diameter calculator and you can try different combos. You also want your front tire to be as close to rear in diameter as possible so if you go with a 255 make sure you select the sidewalk that helps get it close to the rear
Are these tires worth it I need tires was going to get these if it's worth it. I don't have the run flats I bought my 3.7 2015 with 25k so they had aftermarket tires on factory rims

I had heard a few people saying their steering felt loose or the car liked to “wander.” I haven’t had any issues so far-thankfully. I don’t think it’s a very common problem.
Only steering issue if you are on the highway amd have predicted lane on. When a car gets closer to you it does slightly goes off course with that feature turned off no steering issues.
I just went from 245 to 255 Michealen pilot sport 3 plus. And the car feels less responsive like it's working harder to move. The tires I had originally were formoza all season 245/40. The car felt faster. Is this normal? I know the pilot sports weight 28 lbs per tire. So idk if it's the grip or weight that has made my red sport feel somewhat heavier.
No, tires shouldn’t make it feel less responsive. You would never notice a wheel/tire weight difference in straight line pulls. Does it feel less responsive off the line or at all speeds and rpm? If the tires hook hard off the line it could cause it to feel a bit doggy, but that would go away once you get momentum going.

I really appreciate that! And I would say if you’re passionate about it, go for starting a channel! I love cars and motorcycles and have been modifying and customizing them for about 15 years now. I’m also an artist (not professional)-I paint and have done some photography in the past-I don’t really have time to paint, so making these videos is sort of a creative outlet for me. Not the best editor and I don’t have top of the line equipment yet, but I enjoy it! My car is RWD. I wanted awd originally but I’m glad I got the RWD. You could go with a similar setup, but just keep it squared. I think 275s up front is overkill, so go with 255/40/19 all around (if you go 19s). It’s narrow enough for the front and still wide enough in the rear to get you some good grip! Thanks again man!

20s look really big on these cars no matter what but having wheel gap will make them look even bigger. But if you go with 20s and lower it an inch, you won’t even notice it being lowered.
Bruce Money Well the offset of the wheel never changes lol. But sure-comparing to the fenders it would be the equivalent to a 30 offset-all the way around. I put a 5mm spacer in the rear as well because the hub was popping out my center cap. Good catch man!
Alex Gillespie 275/35/19 is closer to OE spec so your speedo will be almost right on. Some people like it, but I’ve always thought 275 is too wide for a front tire, so it’s tough to say. Depends on what you like.
Did you put your old tpms sensors on these rims or no? And was the light on the dash? The rims make the car look way better it’s officially murdered out now! Lol
Moe Fit I did not use my tpms because I am going to likely run my stock wheels during the winter. The light did come on in the dash-I am doing my best to ignore it lol! I might find a small black sticker to cover it up haha
Haven't had the chance to push them all that much. I can tell you they hook much better--that was noticeable immediately. Obviously have a 275 on the rear compared to the stock 225 is going to make a huge difference. I have to double check the pressures now, but they definitely feel more firm. Excited to push them around some corners and try out 0-60 times.

For traction. Wider tire gives a wider contact patch. Also a 275 is way to wide for the front although some people will do it. Could be helpful on the track but daily driving or at the drag strip, a wide tire up front on a RWD car is not good-too much drag.

So price always reflects quality in your mind? Why spend $1500 on cast wheels like Rohanas that weigh 30 lbs when I can get these cast wheels that weigh 24 lbs and cost a fraction of the amount. Production process is the same. They are still round. They fit properly. They are just as durable. It would seem that price is the only thing that makes them “cheap.” I don’t get wrapped up in name brands. Sometimes you just have to use common sense. You couldn’t look at these without the center cap or the brand stamp and tell me what brand they are. And you certainly couldn’t tell me how good they are based on how they look. You can spend $4k on wheels and the only thing the average person is going to get out of that is a lighter wallet. And as I stated very early on, this channel is all about experimenting and finding way to get nice results without braking the bank. Let’s face it-most people aren’t dropping $550-$1000 per wheel. It’s just not realistic. So you can seriously go low quality and save money, you can find good deals on decent quality products. Top of the line? Maybe not. Functional and sufficient for the average Joe, for sure.

Chad Rapper well I wouldn’t call a q50 higher end haha. But it hasn’t been my experience that more expensive is better. Unless of course you’re getting into 2 and 3 piece rotors forged super light etc etc. when it comes to cast wheels, unless they are truly junk, which I haven’t come across, you’d be crazy to spend $1000 or more. Konig wheels for example-people seem to consider them cheap but they are actually super durable and relatively light for what they are. And inexpensive on top of that.

They give the car a beefier look-moving away from the typical tuner look that everyone goes with for this style of car. Obviously, styling is subjective. I just think you’re completely wrong. Black on black with black wheels is probably one of the nicest combos there is. And the tail lights had to be tinted. The factory bright-ass red was just obnoxious. And the chrome accents on these cars is hideous, so it had to be blacked out. And I have no idea what your you Drive an m comment means. There’s no hate no matter what you drive.

These wheels and this style of wheel is common in the Japanese tuner world-drift cars and track cars-370z, 240s etc. I probably wouldn’t choose it for a bmw, an Audi or a corvette but they work for this car. Has a nice aggressive look and will look better when the suspension gets figured out. Thanks for your input.

Hi, I have the Q50 sport trim model, on stock suspension, a guy is selling a 19x11? and 19x9.5 . He said the offset for the front is 12 and rear is 12. Is that correct of what he told me word for word and if so, how wide will it be sticking out from my fender? Or will it sit somewhat flush.
That is a super aggressive offset. If it is correct, those wheels will not fit. 19x11 is super wide already and with an aggressive offset like that, they would stick wayyyy out. My front wheels are 19x9.5 with a +35 and an 8mm spacer and are flush. A 12 offset would poke in front as well.

I’m assuming their genders are more wider. What he listed on his post was for sure 19x9.5 offset 12 front , 19x11 offset 10 rear. And they won’t fit from what you said correct? Now I can save me $620? Lol I would not line it to poke out a lot or really at all. I would want it flush for sure.
Bradly Well 10 offset is even more aggressive. What wheels are they? I honestly don’t think they’d work unless you had some crazy camber, but there are diagrams out there with exact measurements.

Great choice on the RSR springs!! I have Impuls on my G but had RSR Ti2000 on my Mitsubishi and they were amazing. Superb ride quality!!!!

Nothing at all. I could go 285 in rear but wouldn’t go wider than 255 in front, but could bump it out another 3-4mm still and be super flush

No it’s because of the overall diameter of the tires. A 275/40/19 would be much taller than a 255/40/19

I just went from 245 to 255 Michealen pilot sport 3 plus. And the car feels less responsive like it's working harder to move. The tires I had originally were formoza all season 245/40. The car felt faster. Is this normal? I know the pilot sports weight 28 lbs per tire. So idk if it's the grip or weight that has made my red sport feel somewhat heavier.
No, tires shouldn’t make it feel less responsive. You would never notice a wheel/tire weight difference in straight line pulls. Does it feel less responsive off the line or at all speeds and rpm?
If the tires hook hard off the line it could cause it to feel a bit doggy, but that would go away once you get momentum going.
@@SpeedCultureStudios yes feels less responsive off the line. The drive feels different. Feels like I dont feel the force of the torque as much with these new tires maybe it's due too its treads.
Marks_Blade it’s hard to say man. Maybe you’re just getting used to the car and are ready for more power. That happens too man. Could just be a feeling. Too bad you don’t have any baseline numbers to compare.

Hey dude, im loving your videos!!! Makes me want to start a car related channel. Was wondering if your Q is awd or not. I want to go with a similar set up for my ride but not sure if it will interrupt the awd system.
I really appreciate that! And I would say if you’re passionate about it, go for starting a channel! I love cars and motorcycles and have been modifying and customizing them for about 15 years now. I’m also an artist (not professional)-I paint and have done some photography in the past-I don’t really have time to paint, so making these videos is sort of a creative outlet for me. Not the best editor and I don’t have top of the line equipment yet, but I enjoy it!
My car is RWD. I wanted awd originally but I’m glad I got the RWD. You could go with a similar setup, but just keep it squared. I think 275s up front is overkill, so go with 255/40/19 all around (if you go 19s). It’s narrow enough for the front and still wide enough in the rear to get you some good grip!

20s look really big on these cars no matter what but having wheel gap will make them look even bigger. But if you go with 20s and lower it an inch, you won’t even notice it being lowered.

Tibb 3 just look for springs with a moderate drop of 0.8 - 1.0 inches.

Bruce Money Well the offset of the wheel never changes lol. But sure-comparing to the fenders it would be the equivalent to a 30 offset-all the way around. I put a 5mm spacer in the rear as well because the hub was popping out my center cap.

Alex Gillespie 275/35/19 is closer to OE spec so your speedo will be almost right on. Some people like it, but I’ve always thought 275 is too wide for a front tire, so it’s tough to say. Depends on what you like.
Depends how low you are too. I have 255/40/19 up front and with a 1.5” drop of my tire was much wider it might rub

It’s called staggered. Wider tires in back for better traction but they are too wide for a front tire

Moe Fit I did not use my tpms because I am going to likely run my stock wheels during the winter.
The light did come on in the dash-I am doing my best to ignore it lol!

How does it feel?. .. the dumb flats seem poor quality at best. I slip and slide when wet and just feel bla when dry hard corning
Haven't had the chance to push them all that much. I can tell you they hook much better--that was noticeable immediately. Obviously have a 275 on the rear compared to the stock 225 is going to make a huge difference.
I have to double check the pressures now, but they definitely feel more firm. Excited to push them around some corners and try out 0-60 times.

Why did you put wider tires for the rear?
For traction. Wider tire gives a wider contact patch. Also a 275 is way to wide for the front although some people will do it. Could be helpful on the track but daily driving or at the drag strip, a wide tire up front on a RWD car is not good-too much drag.

I've never understood putting cheap wheels on nice cars.
So price always reflects quality in your mind?
Why spend $1500 on cast wheels like Rohanas that weigh 30 lbs when I can get these cast wheels that weigh 24 lbs and cost a fraction of the amount. Production process is the same. They are still round. They fit properly. They are just as durable. It would seem that price is the only thing that makes them “cheap.”
I don’t get wrapped up in name brands. Sometimes you just have to use common sense. You couldn’t look at these without the center cap or the brand stamp and tell me what brand they are. And you certainly couldn’t tell me how good they are based on how they look. You can spend $4k on wheels and the only thing the average person is going to get out of that is a lighter wallet.
And as I stated very early on, this channel is all about experimenting and finding way to get nice results without braking the bank. Let’s face it-most people aren’t dropping $550-$1000 per wheel. It’s just not realistic. So you can seriously go low quality and save money, you can find good deals on decent quality products. Top of the line? Maybe not. Functional and sufficient for the average Joe, for sure.

Chad Rapper well I wouldn’t call a q50 higher end haha. But it hasn’t been my experience that more expensive is better. Unless of course you’re getting into 2 and 3 piece rotors forged super light etc etc.
when it comes to cast wheels, unless they are truly junk, which I haven’t come across, you’d be crazy to spend $1000 or more. Konig wheels for example-people seem to consider them cheap but they are actually super durable and relatively light for what they are. And inexpensive on top of that.

Keron Farrier I’m not sure where you see riced out-or any rice at all. Nothing has even been done to it aesthetically except for tint and 19” black wheels that aren’t even a “rice” style. It has no wing. No stance. No fart can. Nothing is taped on.

Keron Farrier well blacked out is far different than riced out. And I don’t think it was a poor wheel choice at all. They give the car a beefier look-moving away from the typical tuner look that everyone goes with for this style of car. Obviously, styling is subjective. I just think you’re completely wrong. Black on black with black wheels is probably one of the nicest combos there is. And the tail lights had to be tinted. The factory bright-ass red was just obnoxious. And the chrome accents on these cars is hideous, so it had to be blacked out.

Like I said, I was going for a more beefy look. Everyone does this car up the same way and I’m not interested in that. And I certainly don’t want some big 20” shiny wheels with a bunch of spokes-those get heavy, you know...
These wheels and this style of wheel is common in the Japanese tuner world-drift cars and track cars-370z, 240s etc. I probably wouldn’t choose it for a bmw, an Audi or a corvette but they work for this car. Has a nice aggressive look and will look better when the suspension gets figured out.

Hi, I have the Q50 sport trim model, on stock suspension, a guy is selling a 19x11? and 19x9.5 . He said the offset for the front is 12 and rear is 12. Is that correct of what he told me word for word and if so, how wide will it be sticking out from my fender? Or will it sit somewhat flush.
That is a super aggressive offset. If it is correct, those wheels will not fit. 19x11 is super wide already and with an aggressive offset like that, they would stick wayyyy out. My front wheels are 19x9.5 with a +35 and an 8mm spacer and are flush. A 12 offset would poke in front as well.
Speed Culture Studios I meant the rear offset is 10. But yea he had it in his 370z so I’m guessing because of that wheel spec he had, his body size car is bigger. I don’t know much of the z’s. I’m assuming their genders are more wider. What he listed on his post was for sure 19x9.5 offset 12 front , 19x11 offset 10 rear. And they won’t fit from what you said correct? Now I can save me $620? Lol I would not line it to poke out a lot or really at all. I would want it flush for sure.
Bradly Well 10 offset is even more aggressive. What wheels are they? I honestly don’t think they’d work unless you had some crazy camber, but there are diagrams out there with exact measurements.
The wheels are varrstoen es2 . A buddy said with that spec, my tires or that I will need to stretch the heck out of the tires and more than likely poke out
