how do you feel about putting cold air intakes on my 15’ 3.7 awd ? would it be reliable ?
@@adamowens5507intakes are almost pointless on q50s, the stock air boxes are perfect
Now built motor, pure drivetrain solutions VR Transmission, injectors fuel pump e85. Jesus christ the potential now for the 14-15 Q50’s and G37’s are about to be up to par with us VR boys
lol no. VR doesnt need a built motor until you want to start pushing for 900 whp. Motor is good for 800whp.

@@slumygoat what do you mean it's not when it has already been done? People have been running pures/rt turbos at 600-700 whp on stock block for years now.
@@supremecy187those VRs are known to blow while completely stock at 70k miles
@jasonmesona False the engines didn't blow. The 2017s were more to issues with turbos and had them revised in 2018. The issues were mostly oil related. Twin turbos require more oil changes frequently. SonicTuned came out recently and said that after tuning several hundred vr30s, less than 5 had issues with their turbos. That is like a 3%. Actual tuners weighing in on the subject > random haters 🤣

Yes, that is a very realistic horsepower range as we normally will see anywhere from 500 to 525 on pump 93 at 10 to 12 psi 🫡

The Transmission is the Weak Point Of The Q50. I Have One And i Hate The Transmission Is Drives Me Nuts. I Like The 3.7L V6 Power, But I'm Looking for a Better Transmission to Put in it to Quicken the Automatic Shifts. Not Even Sure if the VR Q50/Q60 3.0L Transmissions are Good Enough, I Drove one in a 2016 Q50 3.0L and it Shifted Worse Than Mine (A 2015 Q50) I don't know if that Particular Transmission is Going out Or Something, But It Wasn't Any Better and That's a VR Transmission I'm Guessing.. I'm used to the Amazingly Great Quick Shifts In My Mercedes E and C-Class. So I'm Looking for Something that Would Shift Quick and Responsively Like That.... Someone Suggested the New Nissan Z Transmissions, But It's So New And I Haven't gotten Much Feedback on It Regarding How The Shifts On Them Are...
i hear lexus is250 nd is350 transmission is pretty responsive but u would be sacrificing power for better acceleration
@@zeke2257 Power That Doesn't Accelerate Efficiently and Quickly is no Use/No Power. But are the IS Line Transmissions Different from the ES Line Models??? Because I've read that those Transmissions Areas the Best at Quick Shifts Either. They're Most Tuned for Comfort and Luxury Cruises.
@@nedunonnyp704 what u read most likely refers to the is 6 speed transmission which is known for being sluggish and kinda aggressive but the later 8 speed transmission they use in most their awd models anyway is wayy better and more responsive than the 6 speed also allows for better top end/acceleration especially when tuned the right way i have more personal experience with the 6 speed than the 8 speed but my cousin has the 8 speed and from N/A runs to boosted runs we did everytime its like the 8 speed gearing just gives him that extra stretch to always be a full car to car and half length ahead of me cars weighed literally same i was pushin about 30ish more hp everytime on the set up but he has awd so as u can imagine his launch was far superior everytime reliability wise and gearing wise the 8 speed was the way to go hope this helps sorry if its a little weirdly typed at work while squeezing all the knowledge i have for ya in this 👍🏾
