Texas Sheet Cake Cookies
Ingredients
Cookie
• 1 box chocolate cake mix
• 2 eggs {whisked}
• 1/3 cup oil
Frosting
• 1/2 cup butter
• 2 tbsp cocoa
• 3 tbsp milk
• 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
Cookies
• Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
• Combine cookie ingredients in large bowl and mix until completely incorporated. NOTE: Dough will be thick.
• Using a medium sized cookie scoop {or heaping tablespoon}, scoop cookies onto a parchment lined cookie sheet.
• Bake for 7-8 minutes, remove from oven and let cool on cookie sheet for 4-5 minutes before moving them to a cooling rack. Repeat until all of the dough is baked.
Frosting
• Combine the first 3 frosting ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat and whisk until the mixture has melted. Remove from heat, add powdered sugar and whisk until smooth.
• Pour frosting over cookies. Use a knife or spoon to move excess frosting and be sure that each cookie is completely covered.
• Let frosting set and serve. Keep your Texas sheet cake cookies in an air tight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

They look really good! I miss cooking. I’ve been sone for 10 years now since loading my husband at 44. Kids live far way. No need to cook. I’ve been giving away everything for other who need it to enjoy ( kitchen equipment, etc). The more I do it, the Better I feel. Let someone enjoy it and use it. I can always buy a cookie somewhere . Nothing beats homemade though.

Here is an idea. Make 1 batch of cookies. Portion out the door. It’s your choice if you want to flatten or keep in balls. Immediately freeze them. When your craving a cookie you can take a few out and enjoy. Hope this helps.

Calvin and Marie, yesterday was my 45th birthday. 🎂🥳🎊🎉 I enjoyed my birthday brunch. I squeezed pancake syrup on my pancakes and sausage patties that I ate. I drank orange juice. I listened to my favorite genres of music while watching most of the road trip video. I danced to the music, but I took breaks. I watched the movie called "Captain Marvel". I enjoyed my birthday dinner. I ate thin steaks, a baked potato, steamed veggies and rolls. I drank a soft drink. I only salted my potato. For my dessert, I ate a wedge of my round chocolate cake. I ate chocolate ice cream. I got 2 squeeze bottles of Axe body wash, short clothes, cards and money.

This one reminds me of a cookie recipe I made, I believe called Chocolate Whoopies. They were like yours, only they were sandwich-style, with creme filling in-between, and they were made from scratch. I made those years ago. Everybody loved them.😊

Marie, this is my second time watching this video.The cookies I made years ago that remind of these cookies were actually called Whoopie Pies. I will be trying the Texas Sheet Cake cookies out sometime later. The rather disappointing thing about some of these delicious fast and easy recipes is that you find yourself going all through the trouble of making something from scratch only to have a boxed mix or some other convenience food undermine or take equal credit for all your efforts of doing things the hard way. Isn't it true? Our modern world is responsible for this.

If I'd gotten surprised on my birthday, then I would've gotten 2 Amazon boxes, having the round "16-ounce" condiment squeeze bottles with measuring black labels. I would've separately filled up 4 of 'em with French's mustard, Heinz ketchup, Kraft sweet honey barbecue sauce and Mrs. Butterworth's pancake syrup. I would've played with my other empty bottles. I'm not really an online shopper. I still have my "Oxo & Tablecraft" bottles. Oh! It's unbelievably saddening that the "Bed Bath & Beyond" franchise is permanently closing down by June 30. I found the squeezable supplies at my nearest store. They were the round condiment bottles and stuffed throw pillows.

I love the reusable, refillable condiment squeeze bottles with squishiness, flexibility and plasticity. I love to touch the round plastic mayonnaise jars by Blue Plate, Duke's and Hellmann's. I love pepperoni pizzas. I love to squeeze mustard and ketchup on my cheeseburgers. Besides pancakes and sausage patties, I love to squeeze pancake syrup on my waffles. I love "chocolate & vanilla" bakery cakes. I love bakery cupcakes. I love blueberry muffins.
