I love these options. Thank you soooo much, I was crocheting a sweater with a tutorial but didn’t like the technique they used to bind the ends together and then I found your video and it was like …….HEAVEN on RUclips lol. You are a lifesaver.
As a new beginner, I am amazed at all the different ways to make my work good. I tend to be amazed at the Beauty. Thank you for sharing your time. I really appreciate your instruction. I have worked with my hands all my life, and when I Retired, I had to find something to work with my hands. Crochet has been my savior.I'm not to far along, but am still learning.RB
I'm using the second technique. Thank you for the beautiful seam for my first baby blanket for my first grandchild. Also thank you for the easy threading technique it will save me so much time! I'm forever grateful
At last. How to stitch together up the sides of rows; searched for months for this but no-one else seems to do it. Also a view of the back on each method; seldom done but makes a big difference to see it. Really really great to have both. :-)
I am making a poncho for my grand daughter - I was looking for how to finish it off without a visible seam. Your examples were great and I will be using the one that you were taught! Thank you!
Yay thank you so much!!I'm currently crocheting a cardigan for my grandma and I'm so frustrated how I will combined it and thank you for teaching, love it!!
This is exactly what I needed! Other videos only showed joining the end, which is easy. Thank you for showing the two ways to join the ends. I think I will use the lace up stitch. Thanks so much Marly. I'm joining a sweater I made. I didn't want to use the whip stitch, which is what the pattern said to use.
I hate seaming and try to avoid patterns with seams but now thanks to your tutorial, I have joined the pieces for a Tunisian vest I made for my son and am in the process of joining a cable vest that I am crocheting. The third method you demonstrated is my favorite.
I like the lace up mattress stitch. I have afghan project I am doing(joining 300 squares) so I will try the lace up mattress stitch on it. Regards from New Zealand.
I do knit sweaters and know how to seam them together, but my brain was not working for seaming the side of a crocheted garment. Thank you for your wonderful demonstration of doing just that. You saved me from defeat.
I’m going to use the lace up version I have my Afghan granny squares all made and I’ve been holding them for about five months now because I couldn’t figure out how to put them all together. I watched various videos and they’re just a mess . I’m also making granny square scarves that I want to get done for Christmas but I didn’t know how to put them together seamlessly. I have looked at how some people have put them together on Etsy and they look terrible so thank you very much I appreciate your help
Fab tutorial, seaming was always something that got me down, but I have now managed to sew my shoulder seams together on my baby cardigan, and am confident I can do the side seams using your tut, but is there a specific way to attach the sleeves as I will be attaching the tops of trebles to the sides of trebles, if you know what I mean, just wondering if you had any advice or could do another tut explaining the neatest way to do this, thanx
When I try the first technique up a side, it pulls the two matching rows askew from each other because of returning to the bottom of the ‘matching’ treble post. Am I doing something wrong?
I have 2 afghans to complete but they are in granny stitch. Both patterns say to use the invisible stitch to put them together. What one do you suggest please.
Thanks for the fantastic tutorial, it was very informative and easy to follow. I like your lace up stitch which I am going to try to sew up my own pattern of a crochet jacket.
thank you for this helpful video. i've got several sweater pieces that have been waiting to be joined :-) the current sweater i am working on in is worked in a shell stitch so there isn't a neat even top, and the edges are ch2 and dc on the other side. help please!
I used the first one for a Camisol, that I am finishing, the first project for myself that I am making for myself (since 2017). I do not use the item I made in 2017.
my seams still doesn't look very good. I've been crocheting for years and years but never was good at seams. I need more practice I guess. I think with the second part of your video with the part with "v's" would work great for me but the first one with the kind of uneven seams you always get at the side just didn't come out looking great.
This is exactly what I needed, sewing up the sides of a striped double crochet piece. Thank you, this is wonderful!!

Thank you! I've been crocheting for years, and this baby sweater on my lap has the neatest seam ever now!

Thank you so much. I have been searching everywhere for a way to seam up a blanket constructed with strips.
You’re a great teacher, thank you for another clear tutorial!
Thanks, Marly, for your clear directions. I like the way you show your work and you’re also visible. Gotta get to work now!

Excellent demonstration of options and what each option looks like. Bravo! And thanks.
Very clear instructions. I prefer the shoe lace method. Thank you.
Wow! I wish I would have known this when I was sewing my chevron sweater together. Would have saved me a lot of headaches! Thanks!!
So good. I used the shoe tying stitch to join two sides together of double crochet, as I wanted a flat seam. You saved me hours of frogging.

This is a great tip! I'm using it to piece together a throw. It's so much neater than the way I used to do it.

Thanks for a wonderful tutorial. You are clear, concise, and to the point.
The audio is from left headphone only. I thought my headphones broke for a second.
Just tried the lace up stitch and it is EVERYTHANG!!!!!?😍😍😍😍😍😍Thank you Marly B.
When you got all the way done how did you finish I know pull strings tight but do you make a knot at the end?
I’m using this to seam up a hanging plant holder 😊
Thank You!!, Very good video, good clear voice, great camera shots, and I learned seam stitches.... :)
Excellent presentation.
I am making a cardigan in crochet squares and was looking for an invisible way of sewing it together Thank you
Which would you use to sew sleeves to a garment in crochet?
Thank you. Great explanation! Just made my first baby cardigan & have to attach front to back and sleeves.
This was an awesome instructional video. Thank you so much. Now I can finish up my hat!
Thank you I have something I have made and put off putting together until I watched an expert do it. Now on to my project.

Thank you for your help.
The whip stitch rocks for a pattern seam

How do I figure out how much yarn I need to sew it up? I ran out and needed to cut and start again with more yarn
You make it easy to hit the like button! GREAT teaching! THanks much!
I thank you for showing me how to seam two pieces together.I used it to put a dress together.
Thank you! Will be using this on a sleeveless cardigan.

Have you every joined the V's with a double crochet? I like to alternate the direction of my squares for texture. How would you suggest doing that?
Thanks so much for sharing this technique, it was greatly appreciated.
The text covers the initial beginning of the joining.
Thank you
Thank you so much! Exactly what I needed to know to seam the shoulders on a crochet waistcoat :D
I have 2 afghans to complete but they are in granny stitch. Both patterns say to use the invisible stitch to put them together. What one do you suggest please.

Great tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
This was very helpful! Your description was easy to follow. Thank you!
I used the Laceup Mattress Stitch for the Campfire Cardigan
Wow super helpful thanks ever so much!
If in the first method u go through the v stitches like from 2. To 3 then 4 to 5 the bump will not come.
I used the first one for a Camisol, that I am finishing, the first project for myself that I am making for myself (since 2017). I do not use the item I made in 2017.
Very helpful. Thanks.

It's difficult to see how your going through the double stitch.

Bob's yer uncle! Ha ha ha
