Wow!! It turned out great! LOVE the use of Wonder Tape; definitely going to have to try that. What I love the MOST about your videos: YOU! You're like drinking a mug of homemade hot chocolate on a bitingly cold day - you make the world warmer and more delicious!
Dude! This is the first tutorial on this I’ve seen that I didn’t have to watch 10 times to figure out! I actually feel like I could do this. Thank you!
Thank you from Sur in South Australia!! Love your enthusiasm, and how you explain everything so clearly, and slowly for us, who have never done something like this before!! You have made it look achievable now....so I am goiong to give it a try in my next tote bag I make. I will have to buy some 1/4" fusible tape though first! Thanks again!! I love the Tutorial you did on the blue Tote Bag with pockets as well. Bye from Sue in South Australia !! 😃
I have always avoided putting these zippers into my clothing because it seemed so hard to do, but after watching your video I know I can do it..Thank you so much for making it very easy to accomplish this task...Wonder tape is now my best friend...lol
This is effing brilliant! I studied sewing in college (2 year costuming course) and zippers were always my bane. If I had been shown this... thank you!
A little tip for moving that zipper head out of the way. My favorite way is to string a pipe cleaner into it to use as a handle, or use a crochet hook to pull it or use a loop Turner to grab it & pull it. My chubby little hands have a hard time grabbing it underneath that needle bar. Works so great I just keep my pipe cleaner in my tool cup. Love your videos! Sew glad I found you!
Great idea. One of those "Duh, why didn't I think of that!" ideas. Been planning to put a crochet hook in my tool cup to use as a stiletto. Now know to pick one that'll be the right size to work as a zipper pull. After reading your comment thought about 2 more items with potential. Make a hook from a straightened paperclip and the other is to use a bobby pin as a pull. (They have other uses, 2.) Thanks for sharing.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Is the best tutorial on how to add a zipper to a pocket, you explained it so easy, and made it so easy with your method! I just need to know how to add a zipper for the whole jean bag. Thanks for your tutorials!
You always keep your projects so fun to do !!! Love your projects and you make them look so easy to do. Keep up the amazing work and beautiful projects. Will be watching for all your videos. Thank you Mr. Domestic !!!!!
I’ve never seen one done quite this way before. I have always done the one piece of fabric method but I like the way you did it. I’ll have to try it. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for both a fun and informational video. You helped me to smile and I felt like inset zippers we’re a breeze to do. I like your tips and the reminder to go slow and cheat on bags. Why did you choose not to backstitch instead?
Thanks. I love your way. I will back up on the bag I am making and do the zipper (that is where I am at) and try this method. Happy Creating. PS: I tried and I had to make an adjustment but I will be make to try again :-) :-)
Thank you Boo!!! Love this tut...man, I get the biggest smile on my face seeing you. Now I feel confident to add a few zippers to my garments, sew easy to do.
Hey, I liked your jolly way of showing , how to sew inside zippered pocket. Can you please tell me, where I can get Soft fusible lining interface? Irrespective of which ever country? I am from India
I love watching your videos. Mr. Domestic + Videos=makes me happy! I will try Wonder Tape for my zipper bag that I am going to machine embroider in the hoop today-Yay! I am hoping to make a slew of them for donation. Now, which brand do you recommend? And, should it be wash out?
Why not zippers in quilts indeed. It's a great idea, especially for lap quilts for people with disabilities. Add a pocket with a place to store all sorts of things a person in a wheelchair (for example) might like to have stashed in a convenient spot. Large enough pocket on the back and a quilt can have a self-contained storage bag to protect the quilt between times of use.
You are divine!! Could you please give the dimensions of your fabrics and interfacing? I'm "figure it out on you own" challenged.....thank you sweetie!!
Great video...Im a little confused where the threads at the end came from and why you had to pull them to the back and tie them...why cant you cut them off?
Hi. Ok so I have watched your video like 10 times. Lol. I'm trying to figure out how to put a smaller pocket inside a bigger bag. Help me pleaseeeee!!!!! lol Would I sew up the sides of the little pocket first. I'm kinda thinking I do. Oh geezzzzz lol. I'm stuck.
Fabulousness :) Love wonder tape! Never used it before, and didn't have the skills to put in a zipper like that, now I do 😆 I'm gonna go make a bag. Too bad we have no way to show you what you have taught us :) You have Facebook? s - Hag

I make an in set pockets in chaps with this video great stuff!
If you tug on your bobbin thread at the back you can usually pull the top thread right to the back without a needle. :)
Thank you for both a fun and informational video. You helped me to smile and I felt like inset zippers we’re a breeze to do. I like your tips and the reminder to go slow and cheat on bags. Why did you choose not to backstitch instead?
