I have watched a few other videos but this is the only one that said how far down to add the zipper, and the measurements for the rectangle box to put the zipper in! wasn’t sure if I was supposed to add the fusible fleece to my regular fabric before or after I did the zipper part. For people like myself who have no idea what they’re doing, this gives great information and makes everything make sense. Thank you!

Not having pockets isn't always optional. Too often it's a requirement. I have made several bags and added pockets to everything I can. But I get stuck at the pattern creation stage. Videos get my brain in the right gear. Too many videos I think they overdo it, don't talk at all, or talk so fast I feel like I need to start running in place to keep up. Thanks for being the great teacher you are so the design process gets over being stalled. I appreciate you very much!

I purchased stiff muslin and soft muslin on sale and I have been practicing with it. The first one was a disaster. But the second one came out ok. I will try a couple of more times before I do the real one. Thanks for the good instructions.

Thank you for this. I realized I need to top stitch which is a step I forgot. But I’d like to add that you shouldn’t start stitching around the box at the end; that stitching should start an inch away, such as that shown. This way, the short ends won’t pucker when you turn the pocket piece to the inside.
