Here are a couple more options: Crafstman makes a cheap ($10-$20) battery sprayer that attaches to a std one gallon bottle. You hold the gallon with one hand and spray with the other one. Using a gallon make the product dilution very easy and using both hands is a lot more comfortable than a single heavier sprayer. The second option and the one I prefer is a "power cleaner" from Ryobi, Worx or DeWalt. This allows to siphon a rinseless solution from a container so you can rinse the car to remove the heavy grit and apply the product for the contact wash in one go. Great for winter or anywhere where you don't have access to running water. More money than most options, but quite a bit more psi (especially the DeWalt 60V). Also, people spend a lot of money on pressure washers, so if you do mostly rinseless, it's nice to have good tools.
It's great to have other options. Thanks for chiming in and sharing your real world experience.
🏁That electronic sprayer is sweet! Especially since it has it's own pressurizer on-board!! I love rinseless washing. I've been doing it now for about 5 years and it's been my "go to" method for washing my vehicles for at least the past 4 years. Especially in the winter time when I don't have access to outside water due to the hose bib being frozen over. I have about 50% of all the rinseless washes available on the market today. My cabinet has an entire shelf with just rinseless washes on it. It's nuts how many I have. Some of my favorites are: 🔴 1) Feynlab Rinseless Wash (Very powerful rinseless wash with no additional waxes or sealants). 🔵 2) McKee's N914. Very similar to Feynlab, but not quite as powerful, although I actually prefer the N914 most of the time over Feynlab which I usually only use for decon rinseless washes or when I might have a little more dirt than usual). N914 is very versatile and like all rinseless washes, can do everything on the interior as well which is fantastic for quick "wipe downs" in between full interior cleanings. It works fantastic for that because you can just used your damp drying towel which has leftover rinseless wash solution from the drying process, and you can simply use that and wipe down the interior surfaces and your vehicle looks factory fresh in a short period of time. 🟣 3) DIY Details V2 Rinseless is a newer one that I really like. It's a good one for it's cleaning ability. It is similar to both ONR and N914. 🟢 4) Griot's Garage Wash & Wax for when I want something with a little extra gloss. 🟤 5) Good ole' Optimum No Rinse, ONR, the original rinseless wash which I still use to this very day on a regular basis. I also love using rinseless wash solutions to soften my bucket wash solution. Works great for that also when I want to do a bucket wash. I live in Colorado and we have SUPER HARD water! It's also very arid and water dries on the panels almost instantly making it difficult to get a spot free wash. Softened water using a capful of rinseless in the wash bucket works great at reducing the chance of spotting. If it does spot, it wipes away much easier than non-softened water. I also use a capful of ONR or N914 in my washing machine with my regular detergent. A capful also works to supercharge your wash water when using microfiber detergents for washing microfibers. Softened water makes the detergent work as intended whereas hard water in your washing machine acts to reduce the ability of your detergents because of the mineral content conflicting with the ability of the detergents. Just a capful of ONR or N914 does a nice job of softening your laundry water at a fraction of the cost of other water softeners such as borax, baking soda, and commercially available softeners. I buy my rinseless by the GALLON. Far cheaper that way and you can use it for so many different things around the house. My wife swears by it for cleaning all of our hard floors in our home. Our living room, kitchen, and a few other rooms have laminate flooring and ONR or N914 works fantastic for cleaning hard floors such as laminate, tile, sealed hardwood, etc. It works way better than the commercially available cleaners and the best part is that is leaves no residue on the floor! The problem with commercial floor cleaners is that they always leave a residue that's difficult to completely remove. ONR or N914 (or other rinseless washes) work great for floor cleaning, and again, no residue! When you finish wiping the floor, it's perfectly clean. And it feels clean when you run your hand across the floor. You can tell, it's clean! Rinseless is without a doubt the new "buzz word" in detailing over the past few years. It's been gaining fans steadily over the past 5 years and more and more professional detailers now swear by doing rinseless washing over bucket washing. They've come to see the versatility of rinseless washing and the many applications you can use it. Almost every major detailing products company now has a rinseless wash. If not, they are being left in the dust by the competitors who DO have a rinseless wash. Especially if it is a good one that garners praise from all the Detailing channel influencers on RUclips and other media platforms. Rinseless washing has a strong following now with pros and enthusiasts alike. There are so many rinseless washes out now, it's literally mind boggling. Just about every month, some company is releasing a new rinseless wash, or if they have one already, they are releasing new and updated formula's. Version this, version that. I don't care about versions, I just want my rinseless wash to work the best on cleaning the paint well, not scratching the paint in the process, and drying quickly and safely, without streaks, when I wipe it down with my drying towel of choice. As long as it does that, I like it. There are a lot of good ones out there now days and they all claim to be the best. If you stick with the well known name brands, most likely it will be a great working product. ONR is still the original and they are on Version 5 now. They have been the king of rinseless washing since their CEO created the product about 20 years ago now. ONR is still one of the best in my opinion but I do really like other ones too.🏁
thanks for sharing your experiences 😀
We need a top 5 rinseless products hro
which one is your favorite?
Get a detail keg. Even a small one 3 gallons will hold ample air and solution do any car. Downside is high upfront costs, 200-400$, more effort to setup then a regular sprayer, and you need an air compressor. But you get 3-5x the pressure so you can rinseless wash almost any soil level safely and you only have to pressurize it once, no pumping or recharging. I have hand sprayers with a shrader valve and still pull out my keg so I don’t have to refill or recharge a sprayer.
I tried an IK Multi Pro 12 with the schrader valve. I found it kinda awkward and I'd have to keep adding air using my compressor. This battery powered sprayer is cheaper and easier. That's just my preference.
Just get you a 10.00 pump garden sprayer at home depot
I've tried the HD pump sprayers. They did not last for me at all. Maybe a few months at best. It could not hold pressure nor did I like the spray pattern.
If you have to go low budget, DO NOT buy a ZEP bottle. Buy an ECOLAB bottle that will last longer and has better mechanical moving parts.
great advice and in the beginning we've all started with Zep bottles.. easy to get and cheap until you can ramp up and buy better bottles.
Great recommendation but how do you not spray it and show its capabilities on camera?
That’s fair. I was really thinking about the ergonomics of the vessel v. the spray pattern. In short the powered sprayer is easier on your arm and hands.
surely we get to see them in action? strange
that's fair.. I was focusing on ergonomics vs. the spray pattern. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll make a new video.
