I recently purchased two of the same units you just reviewed, also purchased on Amazon. The first lasted only about two hours before it locked up and wouldn't rotate. Thinking it was a fluke, I ordered another for overnight delivery as I needed to get my cleanup done over the weekend. Before I relate what happened with the second unit I ordered I will mention the first had a solid brass body under the rubber cover and a .040 orifice size. Amazon describes it as having a .030 orifice size. I received the second nozzle and this one was feather light as this one was made out of aluminum anodized to look like brass. This one had an .030 orifice size as described. This one only lasted less than an hour before locking up. I'm using a Dewalt 3400 PSI machine with a strainer and filter so Im confident its not any particulate matter in the water. Unfortunately Simpson appears to be sourcing these from multiple manufacturers using different specs and packaging them as the same unit. The only thing common to both nozzles I purchased was they fail prematurely. Your video was just fine but you just didn't put it to the test of a couple hours of use. Both of the units I bought worked fantastic until they didn't...

It looks as though you're holding it at an angle, if you hold it so that the tip is pointing directly at the surface youre spraying (perpendicular) I think you'll get even better performance out of it.

I found test out after I finished the video. I was trying to make it so I didn’t have anything spraying back at me and the camera since I had only one free hand to operate the wand while holding the camera. But you are correct. A more direct approach does yield better results. And it works really well with this particular pressure washer I had it connected to.

    I luv mine,,,,,
When I got it I knew,,,it was everything I needed except for the fragile stuff cuz it will tear things apart!
BTW I like that brick street you guys have, I bet it keeps the speeders away!

Yeah that turbo nozzle is pretty aggressive. That’s why I only bring that out if I’m cleaning concrete or brick work. What I generally do is use the surface cleaner for the bulk of a sidewalk or patio or driveway then the turbo nozzle for the edges and stress the surface cleaner can’t reach. My machine is a 3400 psi @ 2.5 GPM so the power is definitely there. As for the brick streets, some are brick and some are asphalt but it does deter speeders and doesn’t slick up as quickly in bad weather but our town is pretty good about pre prepping when Mother Nature is planning on some misbehavior.

I am all about saving money just like everyone else but it has been my experience that with turbo nozzles , you get what you pay for . With that I suggest that if possible , get one with a filter built in . You will spend more but in the long term they last much longer , and it will save you the time and expense of replacing the less expensive ones more often . But hey , that's just my experience .

Thanks for the advice. Any brand you suggest? This one is just a starter.

@@shoptalkwithbrett6572 Right now I am using one made for a Stilhl Power Washer ( RB 600 ) because Still has a different size quick connect that only works with the Stihl brand . There are several out there with filters but as I said more $$ . Stilhl turbo nozzle are around $ 125 . and even they eventually wear out but not near as quickly as ones without filters depending on usage .

@@danrussell3509 thanks Dan. I’ll check around. The turbo nozzle isn’t my “daily driver” like my surface cleaner or my 15° or 25° nozzle.

@@shoptalkwithbrett6572 You may as well use the one you have now until something does go wrong . Just take your time and get what you think is the best It was a great video by the way ! Be safe !

The turbo isn't even close to the regular one...thanks for the heads up. I won't buy the turbo

That isn’t the best turbo out there. Plus, that was my first time trying one. I’ve used it several times since this video was made and learned a few tricks to make it more effective. That being said, it’s not the best turbo nozzle out there but not bad for the price point. I mostly use my 15° tip depending on what I’m cleaning. But the turbo nozzle does quite well for edging concrete before using the surface cleaner. And it works great for cleaning under a nasty mower deck. I used it in a later video on a sidewalk and driveway cleaning video and it did quite well over I got used to the proper technique.
