  • We'll learn how to calculate molecular formula for a compound when you are given its empirical formula and its molar mass. In order to do this, you need to figure out what to multiply the empirical formula by to get the molecular formula and the correct molar mass. The multiple can be determined by dividing the molar mass of the compound by the molar mass of the empirical formula.

BTW tyler you are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better at teaching chemistry than my teacher, she takes 30mins to explain this and I didn't understand it you took 9mins and I understand it now. You are a grade saver dude.

Thank you so much! My daughter was told to transfer by her teacher, she decided to stay, and despite his horrible attitude and bad teaching, she is passing and understanding chemistry thanks to you.

I am a ninth grade student who just learned this topic 2 days ago. When my teacher explained the concept, I couldn't understand it. But now I have fully understood the concepts of empirical and molecular formula.
