    I don't know how often you get comments like this, but I think you'd be an excellent chemistry/science professor if you aren't already one. You make all of this seem so simple, whereas I find myself confused in class when my professor teaches the exact same subjects. You rock, dude! Keep up the great work!

    Hi Tyler, even though it doesn't discredit the educational merit of this video, I need to point out that the first analyzed compound is not ethene, but butene - more specifically (E)-but-2-ene. I suggest inserting a correction box in the video.

    You are the best! But isn't ethene C2H4 (-ane single bond, -ene double bond, -yne triple bond), hence ethene would have double bond between the Cs? I love watching your vids. I have had all these classes for premed (and miss chemistry so much I have a tiny lab in my house and do distillation procedures for my own pure plant essential oils🌷🌱🌹🍋🌻). Thank you ❤!

    The regular formula of ethene should be C2H4, so why C4H8

      Yeah he just mixed up the prefix. Eth stands for 2 carbon atoms, there's 4 so it should be butene.

    I realize you probably won't read this given that you haven't uploaded a video in a while, but I just wanted to say thank you for these videos. Last year I took Biology and completely loved it but Chemistry this year has been really hard because it simply hasn't been as interesting to me but these videos have made it much easier to understand and a lot less stressful. I have a Chem midterm on Monday and if I get a good grade, it'll be because of these videos.
