Call it a gut feeling but i think we need to keep going with Garver. Let him catch a few games. If hes injured, its not like we lose any production. I believe in his bat though.

He's -0.4 fwar. If he gets hurt, we literally gain value. Until he starts hitting, we need not fear losing him.
I actually commented on a post about a week ago. I suggested the slow start could be do to him not catching. Sure enough a week later he is catching to get his bat going.
Do think he was slow but a great assurance 3 rbi double today
Can we let him go or did we pay him too much for that to be an option i feel like the mariners hold on to guys too long when they should have made a move
Make Garver the backup catcher. Option Zavala and make Haniger our perm DH with the occasional OF appearance. Then trade for a good OF like Lane Thomas.
So more catching and less hitting?

This organization wastes millions of dollars signing mid level free agents trying to save money when they get here they are below replacement level they may as weol just not sign anyone if your not gonna just get upper level talent

Garver is terrible.....look at his career numbers. IF you had to predict his stats prior to the season based on his entire career....not just his 2023 season. His age should have told our FO that his best is in the rear view mirror.. Just another big mistake by our FO to fill the easiest position to fill.
But he's coming off a very good year.
It’s not a slow start anymore, this is how he’s going to bat until proven otherwise. Give literally anyone else the DH. He’s a 3-4 pitch out every time no doubt.
