This is one of my favourite Kelly Clarkson interviews, so I hope you enjoy it. I have just compiled the videos - uploaded by Rob Hamilton, into one so that you don't have to search for each part. I hope you find it as funny as I do :P

I love how classy she's being by trying not to talk shit about Britney despite everyone else in the room doing so and trying to get her to.

Kelly is a fan of Britney but that’s not the reason for her reluctance to join in trashing or mocking Britney and for her diverting attention away and sticking up for her when the media and the public all did it and urged her to join in (no shade to these guys on Q100, the entire WORLD was doing it and these guys were honestly much nicer than most).
It’s a result of Kelly being conscientious and empathetic enough to remember that Britney’s a human being. Kelly us truly unique amongst her peers insofar as she’s classy enough to treat others like humans regardless of their station or status in life.
In contrast the rest of the world tends to lose sight of this and treat public figures like a commodity and make a spectacle of their lives even when they are going through struggles of a serious magnitude- tragedy, heartbreak or duress.
The media and public also do this to ordinary people who wind up in the news through no fault of their own - such as loved ones of violent crime victims. Reporters DESCEND on these poor people like vultures- stocking microphones and cameras and lights in their faces when they are at their most vulnerable and lowest points, and the public gobbles it up.
Personally I find that behavior contemptible and disgusting so I voice my displeasure and change the channel or click away.
If we all get a little more conscious of how wrong these things are we can perhaps make these ugly aspects of our culture a thing of the past.

They kept dragging into britney issue hoped to get some nasty quote from her...but kelly is a classy lady she don't do that kind of stuffs... Thats y i love her. Kudos that she finished the interview this long by being kelly...she steered the conversation her way ..thats why she has a talk show now

And now fast forward to 2022, Britney got upset over this, I guess. I thought Kelly dealt with this as best she could, really. She made some jokes but at least she didn’t call Britney crazy like everyone else in the studio.
@@OwnedByKitties and fast forward Britney deleted the quote. So... she probably knew she was wrong calling people like Kelly out. It felt so nice to me that 99% people defending Kelly. That just shows that Kelly Clarkson reputation of a sweetheart is pristine & stellar. Even Britney can't go anywhere near her
@@nasskc896 Oh did she delete it? Lol Probably just as well. I was happy to see most people were on Kelly’s side. I get that Britney has had a rough time, I feel bad for her. However if she wants to go back and talk about people saying bad things 14 years ago, Kelly is the person she least should have a beef with. She just did the best she could with the guys picking on Britney, she made some jokes but honestly Kelly was trying to be nice about the whole thing. She didn’t pile on. I ended up back here because on Twitter people were asking for the whole clip of this, to get the context a bit better. I saw your comment and thought yeah, Kelly is probably the nicest celebrity you’ll ever find. People mentioning here how she handled it well without throwing shade. I was just surprised to see Britney mad about that honestly.
@@OwnedByKitties i saw on twitter that quote was no longer on IG. i went & checked Britney's IG. yes it was no longer there...i was initially so mad about it. Went after Kelly freaking Clarkson over this interview just way twisted. But i'm so glad people wasn't having it either... greatest feeling ever as KC stan for so long knowing that people ain't taking any slander/diss against her.

Wtf... I forgot how horrible everyone was to Britney back in the day. Now they just keep her trapped in a conservatorship and threaten to take her kids away if she acts “crazy.”

Yes what the fuck they were horrible , terrible everything , wtf these people that question bad things about Britney Spears and trying to make kelly look bad .... wtf ...... Britney was angry ....don’t mean everyone can make up stories bully just because of they got the opportunity that could take advantage of the situation to be more famous or just for getting more money ......rude people well that is my opinion...... these radio or paparazzi and all .... so sad .......

Or Britney is so rich and famous that’s why they say bad things?? @@synnovenilsen21 Plot twist Britney calling her out for this. insinuating Kelly is a bully out of this clip. but the quote has seen deleted from Britney account, it was either Britney was misinformed initially or she just feeling the #heat calling out Kelly for no reason

super sad that they had to make fun of britney...
They did that hoping kelly would joined in...but kelly didn't. Kelly just nice and down to earth person...she wont say nasty thing about other artists till now
(Virtually) EVERYONE was making fun of Britney back in that time.
Even South Park recognized how excessive and over the top and toxic the scrutiny on Britney was… they called it out in a show.
